I want it to be empire specific so I can ***** my everliving head off on forumside for months at a time about the balance.
  2. Gleerok

If they don't get out of paper they will never be balanced, and we'll never get more vehicles.
  3. Chrispin

See? TR get NS clones for everything. Striker = annihilator, marauder = fury, duster = zepher, and now colossus = giant prowler

Oh god, can't wait to put my C4s on that for massive BOOM and XP grind.
Vehicle kill + 4 people. Almost like a 10min techplant cap. Epic.

LOOKS SICK. This only solidifies the fact that NS has to be a faction. Along with this, I'd like to see new ES MBTs. THAT WOULD BE ASTOUNDING.

Well... yea, what were you expecting? The TR is the faction based on tradition and time-honored designs in warfare. In other words they're extremely conventional and not very innovative. They're still using the Cyclers that they brought over from Earth 400 years ago (well the same designs at least).

So while the VS play with plasma and the NC grab their Gauss weapons, the TR solution is to use the same technology that's been around for centuries... just they make up for what they lack in technology with volume.

Or as the TR say, "tactical superiority". ;)

Its gunna be like the size of a Galaxy....
  14. Nintyuk

2 C4 equals 20% damage, It has to be similar health levels to the galaxy.
  15. Noktaj

Hopefully not, Galaxy is a 12 ppl vehicle. Might be more like a lib than a galaxy.

Aye this is a worry... not even slightly convinced that they thought if they'll be stepping on other tanks toes with this. The vanguard is the big defence tank, the prowler the big dps tank, and the mag the agile tank, so if this just has huge defence/power the mag is still going to be unique to its niche but VS will also have access to a mega dps tank which will completely throw off the balance.

Basically this tank needs to be a mix of all 3, not as agile as a mag, not as defensive as a vanguard, not as powerful as a prowler, but a combination of all those traits

It's probably gonna be a huge slo-mo tingy with no practical use.
It's not like you are gonna blow a base off with those cannons, you know, walls being undestructible and all that.

More likely, it's gonna be a huge target for your rockets and little more than that.
There's a reason why in real world nobody ever built one of these things, they were impossible to move around (litteraly destroying roads, couldnt cross over a bridge) impossible to defend, cost an unreasonable amount of money and resources to built, and they were likely to be the first target of any tank, airplane, granade, explosive, Jesus Holy Star Beam of Death, on the battlefield.

In modern warfare you should prefer mobility to raw power (unless you got a nuke, but I doubt they'll ever implement one in

Well the big theory at the time was that there would be 1 to 3 of these as a objective for an alert. Basically a empty one would appear somewhere and you would grab it for your empire and have to reach a location with it like the warpgate. There were all kinds of cool ideas floating around like It wouldn't be fully destroyed when it blew up and if a empire repaired it's husk back to full health like a turret it would be controllable again. It was suggested that Infiltrators could also hack the drivers out regardless faction.
