So a friend of mine recomended me to try out this game called "Planetside 2" fps mmo he said and I laughed, mostly because I am not a fps player... my freind is a ******, because now I can't stop playing... Anywho I started out trying classes and emipres on EU server Cobalt, not NC though don't like them at all... freedom pah! TR = Love the feel of the guns and the looks I am a terran player at heart. Vanu=Ugliest crap I have ever seen except the tanks and fighters, and their guns go fiz fiz fiz. Now here is the reason why I made this post. Being a new player in this game can get really really lonely after awhile. Trying the Vanu side the people were really helpful, runing public platoons(and I mean runing not just putting out objectives and then 4 hrs of silence) explaining why we did stuff, how to do it and being really nice guys, had an outfit within half a day. Trying the Terran side on the other hand was like takeing a cold shower in the dark alone, public platoons yep, hours and hours of silence check, being kicked out of squads for no reason at all check check, tactics what tactics?... So I will put on the ugliest piece of pixelated latex I have seen and grab my fiz fiz fiz gun and join the nice people, because how much I rather join the terran republic, it does not compare to the interaction and level of teamplay this game can offer and which makes it so damn entertaining. Now just to be clear I could have just been unlucky in my dealings with people but so far I have played each side for two days and from now on only the Vanu side ;( That latex going to leave a mark....
OR, you could just find the right server if you want nice TR cobalt might not but others may have ...i haven't found any since i a Loyal VS...we need more purple though......
I believe and hope that any Terran from Cobalt will come here and recruit you, otherwise check the Outfit Section yourself! Maybe you'll find a Proper Outfit good both on paper and ingame Cobalt (EU) Otherwise if you're up to different servers then check out other Outfits aswell, you might wanna go where your Empire needs you most!
Try Miller instead if you still want to play TR. Join an outfit, such as FU. Don't join platoons that don't use Teamspeak or at least the in-game VOIP. Waste of time.
Sad you leave TR SAD! You'll regret this. We have BY FAR the most amazing weapons sounds of all the game. Plus, if you can afford to set particles to "high" we have BULLET CASING too! Shame on you! Jokes aside, i'm TR on Cobalt, 01WG outfit. If you mind to change your faction, give us a try!
I think you just had some bad luck with the TR squad you joined. From my experience public squads run by public leaders don't communicate with each other, so I would look for a squad with outfit tags as they are more likely to be using coms, and be more organised.
Could be a server specific thing or maybe you just have to get involved with a good group. I joined TR when I started on Waterson and have not made any other alt characters. It took me awhile to find the right group - and I do mean probably two months. Once I found them we play together pretty much daily.
And better not shoot your TR commrades in their back, as many n00bs done to me these times! T'will be some reason to get kicked from a squad. Mine does this all the time. I, m not saying you did this, but as long as randoms get in the way of well trained squads which maybe using TS. Like not moving aside in a sunderer or occupying an important spot on a hill while glaring will maybe result in a fast kick. Too poor those squads dont close themselve. But I met many friends under these circumstances though, and would miss these random events of having a noob aboard. Maybe you try a squad with the following descriptions first: FUN 0n Ind4r!!! or Esamir Action Strikers. many of these squads do not perform under the Banner of an professional outfit and will provide more patience.
It's not latex, it's a spandex-kevlar-egyptian cotton blend, offering a nice mix of support, protection, and breathability. Latex is reserved for the TR infiltrator **** suit.
I play VS on cobalt i got a TR and an NC alt to (lowish like 22-35 ish or sum) and i agree TR are chock full of rude and selfish ppl (mostly germans!) NC are full of lamers and teamkillers... You are doing the right thing, welcome to VS on Cobalt! (ill give you a ride in my pim ped out mag or liberator someday)
