New Forum Structure

I kinda missed having the vehicle subforums. I know not much goes on there, but at least the threads there were real threads. Gameplay is just a whole lot of complaining. Good threads gets buried too quickly.

After nearly two weeks - I can still say that I really miss the vehicle forums. The previous setup made sense - There's a forum for each infantry class, a general discussion forum, and... nowhere specific to discuss vehicle oriented things. It seems somewhat counter intuitive to have removed it.

The other forum structure changes haven't really bothered me, but I would quite like the vehicle discussion forum back.

I have so many IDEAS in my HEAD but no place to put them...

this is hilarious. when i was hanging out on the mechwarrior online forums (when i still had hope for that game) a large portion of them pitched a fit when they added more categories and organization to the forums. many of them wanted EVERYTHING to be done in general discussion <-(that is what they specifically said, not kidding). of course that crowd rapidly became dumber as they "balanced" that game into a uniform grey paste where every weapon did 4 DPS and you just got to chose what visual effect you wanted.

That is mostly because the community that assembled in MWO after closed beta ended is...... not very smart... (to put it in friendly words that they probably don't deserve)

I am highly suspicious of General Discussion, he seems to want everything to fit in a single mold. I suspect he's a TR. *nod*

totally agree these people have no idea what balance means or no idea how to do it..... apparently balanced is random changes and just listening to complainers on the forums

this game was actually fun and playable during the first full year of gameplay.... then it went to ****... now i cant play for more than an hour or 2 without completely loosing intrest

there should be a place on the forums for IDEAS only... then whatever else... and devs NEED to read AND TRY some of these ideas on test server..... that is what test server is for(or at least supposed to be

That's exactly how it feels to me now! I used to spend hours playing during the first year, just having a blast. Time well wasted indeed.

And now it's come to this. Level3 nonsense, hit detection is broken, ping is unstable, etc. Ho boy.

It is well worth repeating: Please bring back the vehicle forum, it served a significant part of the Ps2 gameplay as a central discussion point. It is pretty obvious that general discussion fails to deliver the same.

I made a minor correction there. The removal of the vehicle forums speaks volumes of the overall game direction actually.

I would like to point out that the merge is still resulting in lost threads. For example there's a current thread about Lightning revamps here, and in this post...

The forums change is still resulting in misplaced or missing threads.

Folks I'm going to ask we keep this constructive and wrangled as much as possible. I've closed the cross posted thread (which we don't allow) and am going to ask you provide reasoning behind the vehicle forum. If you are just returning to reiterate your feelings, we do appreciate that but this really isn't about the volume of response but what is said.

That thread you so dearly closed had enough reasons as to why we should keep the vehicles forum open. This thread here has enough of it as well. I mean what the hell, at least respond to some points we mentioned here.

You constantly claim that you want to increase PS2 Team interaction, and it always ends up the same: Dead silence.
