Need a GPU That Runs The Game on Medium or High without Low FPS.

The GT 630 is REALLY that bad. It's just an upgraded GT 520.

I personally don't think getting a GTX 660 a waste of money at all. I have one and I LOVE IT. Plays everything on MAX graphics settings. I also love the full size HDMI port on the back of the card.

It's already been established that the GT 630 is junk for taxing games such as PS2. I don't understand why this is still being discussed.

well, there is no harm from any information i can get or help :)

    I have an i7 3770k evga GeForce 670SC 4gig and i have 60+ fps with everything on high :)

    GTX 650ti / 560ti / 660 / 660ti / 760 / 770 / 780

    or

    R7 260 / HD7850 / HD7870 / R9 270 / HD7950 / R9 280 / HD7970 / R9 290

All should be able to run the game at medium/high with decent frame rate, although i suggest not going lower than 560ti or HD 7850.

The 650ti and R7 260X should be your last resort if you just cannot afford anything better.

Good budget models are the 660, the 560ti, the HD7870 and R9 270. "premium budget" go for 660ti/760 or HD7950/R9 280.

For a decent performance summary see this link:

numbers are in relation to the R7 260X (100%)

Anything beyond a 670 is mostly pointless specifically for PS2. That said, most games can very much benefit from a better card beyond that.

    SLI.

Egypt is my guess then. How much would they charge you for a GTX750Ti or a GTX660 locally?

Also forgot the 750ti which i honestly didn't even know existed. It clocks in between the R7 260 and the HD7850. 13% faster than the R7 260 and 8% slower than a HD7850.

However like I said, I strongly recommend not going below a HD7850 or GTX 560ti, anything lower than this will most likely become instant bottleneck in all the games you play.

The R7 265 is also a good candidate. Note i havent checked prices for any models suggested, only comparing the performance.

His resolution is 1600x900, so charts at that resolution would be more appropriate. Good advice nonetheless

i have a gtx 650Ti, and i run this game fine at max.

2x GTX 460 SLI = no lower than 50 fps on low settings
    but
    i7 OC to 4.4 GHz
    20 Gig Ram

If you can get them 460's are cheap.

My advice (and what I did) was to buy a more expensive video card from a reputable company. Then save your $ and buy a second one down the road. I waited about 6 months or more to get my second card. Made a big difference.

Pardon me, it's so easy to assume all use 1920x1080- but the info is in the links i put in :)

I wouldn't change my advice much, except that at 1600x900 the cheapest budget models will do a lot better than at 1920x1080 as it is 44% more pixels at 1920x1080.

So perhaps the 650ti and R7 260X could be good alternatives if it meets his budget.

I don't think you need a big boost in your GPU. I run an HD 7750 in both my wife's desktop and mine. Honestly has more to do with your CPU, MB, RAM... than your GPU. We have the same card and hers can run all settings on high with good frame rate; she has a nice i7 setup. On mine I have to run most things on medium and I still get worse framerate I have crappy i5 setup. Her's is always smooth while I get these bad, occasional, FPS spikes.

HD 7750 is a cheap card; you can score a nice one for around $100 USD. By nice I mean a good fan, reputable company, etc. HD7750 was in the top 10 for Tom's Hardware GPU's in 2013. It's about as nice a GPU you can get without spending over $200.

Honestly you'd get more boost in performance with a better core computer... but that's even more expensive. My wife's i7 setup was about $380 USD.

    Good luck!

I've got a mate that runs everuything on as high as it will go and gets good FPS (i think the lowest he's ever seen it was in a three way brawl and it got as low as 60FPS).

He's running an old AMD Bulldozer, 16GB RAM and most importantly, and ATi Radeon HD 7770 Saphire. Ebuyer has one currently listed at £73.49 (so approx $115-120 US).

HD 7750 is several times faster than GT 630. He does need a big boost in his GPU.
  17. MorganM

I'm not saying he DOESN"T need a new GPU; he doesn't need a $400 GPU.

HD 7750 would be fine but people on this thread are telling him to buy things that really aren't necessary; especially for this core rig.

Chris Bingley : you have a mate, who is full of BS.

    I have Core i3-4130 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Graphic card is ATI Radeon HD 5970
    4 G of ram
And I feel that the game is lagging

So you decided you'd just hijack this thread with your own technical issues?
