The first WASP public platoon will be opened tonight from 7pm GMT +0. Aim will be to have a small number of WASP members to provide a backbone for the squad and then fill the remaining 8 slots with public members and attach a full squad of WASPies to this squad and work in co-ordination with each other. The squads will be using the in game voice and conducted in English and while you are not required to talk back (though it would be better if you do as communication wins firefights) as long as you are prepared to follow the squad leaders orders and work as a team you are welcome to join the fun. Finally a video up on the moment WASP decided to ruin our photo! Just go to 6:30 and keep watching! If you want to be a glorious bastard who bombs innocent people trying to line up for a family photo then by all means join WASP! Also I think WASP members will want to watch from 13:00 and onwards as well. Some pretty memorable quotes. Such as "Have you looked at the air above us?" "Oh ****..." "F-uck" and "Spread out! I don't understand why SOE decided to not publicise these mini events and then to make matters even worse run them from about 1am GMT +0 ffs! We had around 50-60 members online friday night, we ran our public platoon as well which was a great success and a big thank you to the public players that joined and followed dirctions to lead to a great nights fun, but that means we would have been fielding 2 full platoons of furious black and yellow WASPies to contest the empire showdown targets instead of the 12 guys we had who I have to say put up a great fight but due to the small numbers we couldn't really make a difference - bah humbug! As an aside what did you guys actually get for winning the showdown? Congratulations on the success enjoy it while it lasts I am looking forward to the wargate rotation, expect a team from WASP to be visiting the Indar cliffs by your new WG sometime soon IMTasty that is an awsome vid thanks for sharing it with us and I /salute you and all your members. Too bad the new reinforcement system screwed our joined effort to Zerobase TR on Indar yesterday. Even with about 10 commanders, trying to get the Zerg away from Tawrich, that useless system insisted on spawning half of our troops where they were not supposed to be. Instead we had to spend half the evening fighting BRTD and cohort´s at Allatum . At least we had some nice LA roof battles inside, btw Yami Forest GreyScale/SnowAspen are not the designated biolab Camo patterns!
Haha, that's the reason I like PS2 as much as I do. These situations are great, and a lot of fun to see you guys being good sports about it. We've found ourselves in WASP in situations like that too.
