I haven't played Infiltrators much yet so I'll be relying on feedback. Would you guys say the LA80 has the best long distance sniping with least amount of bullet drop and highest damage?
I personally only use the bolt driver for sniping, it does the job and is pretty reliable. then again i mostly run around with a scout rifle doign infil stuff rather than sniping.
It has the same damage as the Bolt Driver, less drop and faster bullet speed. Bolt Driver is just as good at long range, you just have to aim higher.
I'd say yes overall. The Bolt Driver can be just as effective at getting headshots on stationary targets but the LA-80 is much better at that(less judgement of distance required) and at nailing moving targets(faster projectile speed means less lead required... and the much flatter trajectory makes it much easier to aim for a headshot on a moving target since you, essentially, restrict it to a 2-d estimation unless you are sniping at the most extreme of ranges)
