No, you're the one who's making the accusation so it's your job to prove that the NC weapons are inferior. Going on 'gut' feeling doesn't work and every dude who gets shot in the face thinks the other gun is OP.

I've been all over the three continents, and have yet to find this mythical NC dam.

You could try to not be bad. NC does a pretty good job of holding continents on Connery despite all their supposed flaws. Even if the NC guns are the worst, they are the worst by an insignificant amount. There are other problems afoot if your faction is having that much trouble.

Since you are some sort of math wizard for this game do you have any information on Headshot multipliers?

I don't mean to be the guy to say this but, try ADS or pacing your shots. You are really exaggerating here. I play on Mattherson as TR and the NC have conquered use several times. You simply can't tell me that NC sucks. They are a formidable foe and I enjoy using their weapons.

90% of my Infantry kills come from a Shotgun, across all 3 factions.

I don't even have the Carv on my HA kits.

Your personal experience is meaningless. My personal experience is meaningless. The only information worth discussing is the cold hard facts. Ditch the anti-intellectual crap and lets have a discussion about the real numbers, not gut feelings.

"Experience" is subject to bias and erroneous interpretation. Would you seriously trust a video from someone on the internet as proof of anything? Gathering valid, empirical data is not as easy as you make it out to be.

That said, I play NC and "have actually experienced the game." I regularly enjoy nights of rolling the opposing faction and win many of the 1v1 situations.

Ok I play NC and weapons are fine...really... now the main problem we have on my server at least, is that with TR or VS they usually have everybody fighting in the same bloody place and they get organised.... with NC, you're lucky if all the sunderers/tanks go the same way after even the smallest outpost... and the people giving orders put 6 bloody sticker saying attack/defend that place at the same time all over the map... then NC basic soldier looks the map and like... \Confused ok?

I just took some shots at a wall from "35 paces" (sprint and count 35 weapon bobs). 30/100 bullets landed outside the center 50% of a 4x Trueshot scope. I counted 6 instances where consecutive bullets both landed outside the center 50% of the scope. Yes, I was compensating for recoil with full auto.

This was an EM6 with compensator, foregrip and high velocity ammo. I'd be interested to see how the other factions' weapons handle cone of fire at that range because to me, what I'm seeing is unacceptable, and will be infuriating if TR weapons especially have a smaller cone of fire at that range.

I don't know about anyone else, but an important turning point from thinking I was underpowered as LA came when I purchased a new gun. I have come to realize that my starting carbine wasn't meant to work with my playstyle. I played a very upclose aggressive LA, in which my carbine at the time wasn't really meant for such combat, and thus performed poorly compared to most other weapons at CQC. When I trialed and ultimately bought my new primary weapon, I went from feeling UP to feeling really happy about the balance. I guess if I could summerize, the realization that I was using a weapon that is good at mid-long range for CQC was when everything became much clearer and more fair.

That's my personal experience as LA though, so it doesn't carry much weight in the grand scheme of balance.

Love how 90% of the people saying NC weapons are fine are people who haven't even played as NC.

Anyone who believes VS or TR weapons aren't superior to NC weapons have a serious problem. And this is coming from someone who plays all 3 factions equally. The only advantage NC weapons have over TR and VS weapons is the added damage, which only requires 1 bullet less to kill (using default guns of same classes). And it's still funny because TR weapons can shoot that extra bullet in 1 second.

Good post. It could very well be that many players are using a weapon that is unsuited to their playstyle, thus giving the false impression of an overall imbalance.

You have actually verified this? If so, how?

NCs biggest problem is map layout, they start close to an opponents warp gate on all 3 maps. Esimir the VS automatically get the entire bottom of the map because the other two factions will be fighting each other for the top half, on the other two maps TR get half for free.

regrettably I have played as NC for the first few weeks on Ceres after launch and due to pre-launch nerfing, I must say its true, NC weapons except the NC-14 Bolt Driver, Shrike and rocket pods are the only borderline decent weapons left on that faction.

Simple fact of the matter is NC infantry are almost always at a disadvantage. NC cone of fire is so ridiculously bad its a joke.

Omg. Buy another weapon if you dont like your default. You have guns that exactly like TR's.
Personaly as VS I'm using NC-like guns.
