NC isn't underpowered!

You can make up what I'm posting or you can read what I am posting.

The posts you are quoting make no reference to how you spend your time, they discuss what the requirement is for a kill score to be awarded for any player.

    Please pay attention this time:

A kill is awarded to the player who hits the (now dead) enemy last. This player could have also scored all the previous hits, or he could have hit only once.

If you are going to claim that shooting more people makes you better then surely damage would be a better stat to focus on? Since this shows not just killing blows, but all hits. Of course, this will be vastly inflated due to vehicles on some people's pages and the amount of damage one does still does not define their skill.

Performance and skill are two different things. The stats show performance, based on whatever criteria those stats were designed to use and with many, many uncontrollable variables (your teammates, the location of the battle, your enemies, population balance, latency, fps, etc, etc).
  2. Prodigal

Well, in that case, thanks not only for agreeing, but also for providing proof.
  3. CrushBoss

    W
We know he is lying, he mentioned he had a friend.
  4. Frosty The Pyro

it wasnt a secret, it was in the patch notes. guess whos weapons are the slower assault rifle, carbines, and light machine guns. I mentioned a bit earlier in the thread. It made a big difference. But before the update the NC guns were clearly inferior.
  5. gorviss

As a VS soldier, I did an awful lot. So when I hear complaints about our guns being OP and TR and NC weapons nerfed compared to us...i LAUGH. Personally I think VS have less hit points than the other factions...i don't know why but I feel as though we die faster but that could just be me.
  6. hellin

Explain only one thing... How to compensate scattering of bullets? On distances to 20 meters of 60% of a bullets goes wide of the mark. If return also it is possible to suppress that how to suppress too wide scattering of bullets?
Therefore I also am very dissatisfied with AC-X11. At it the dispersion of fire doesn't correspond to the size of the holder, one or two holder suffices only on 1 enemy on an average and big distance. And on close range necessary 2.
  7. hellin

The weapon with low rate of fire for near fight?
I apologize but I doubt your adequacy. It is necessary to have the Aim-bot what on a close distance to kill the running person with low ROF. Yes sometimes it turns out to kill casually because of bullets scattering, but it is accident and always plays an evil joke.
  8. CrossFire

LOL: i use my rocket launcher - that's how i survive in 1v1 fight =D

I agree. While I would argue that the NC weapons and vehicles are the most difficult to use, I will definitely stand by the point that they are not underpowered by any means. It's just that many players fail to see this, and it's quite understandable. People tend to see and live in the negatives and don't reason.
  10. sagolsun

    The NC are definitely underpowered.

    The VS are definitely overpowered.

    The TR is middle-ground.

Here's a breakdown, from best to worst

    Tank, anti-vehicle:
    Magrider - no contest
    Vanguard
    Prowler

    Tank, anti-infantry:
    Prowler
    Magrider
    Vanguard

    ESF:
    Scythe - no contest
    Mosquito
    Reaver

    Infantry weapons:
    VS - no contest
    TR
    NC
    • Up x 1

Good argument, and I would agree with most of your points except that Vanguards against Magriders are better if crewed by an extremely good aiming driver, and that NC weapons are used best with extremely good aim. NC requires a great deal of skill to even stand a chance.
  12. CrashB111

Prowler and Vanguard both are UP compared to the Magrider. At least you get an ability that isn't total ****.
  13. Deavonere

Well yeah, but to be honest, people tend to take IR Smoke instead. Nobody want to be locked from HA and most of the time that's the real threat for Vanguard.
  14. LtJoeBob

The fact that there has to be a topic called "NC Isn't Underpowered" bothers me if it was so obvious why do you have to call it out and not just post your argument in one of the other topics that claimed they were?
  15. Machine Spirit

this is based on what, your own personal opinion? I'm sorry, but its time you people shaped up, that you got outplayed sucks for you, but stop pulling the OP card and try more of the learn to play card, just because a faction is different from yours doesn't make it OP, I play TR on Mattherson alot, and I have NO trouble with dealing with VS troops.
  16. Meiu

I have played quite a bit of NC, and more specifically Light Assault. I have found that the closer my weapon stats approach the stats of TR the more effectively I end up performing. I have bought and used almost all the available carbines for NC and the GD7 (which is the only weapon with comparable stats to "most" tr weaponry except their new one) gives me the greatest results head to head vs TR or VS. The GD isn't quite as good as the Lynx, but it as good as all their other carbines. The closer I approach "NC style" carbines the more I start getting wrecked due to the full ****** flinching mechanic that favors high ROF and low recoil (since being hit penalizes your accuracy and throw off your aim the easier your weapon is to aim the less you are penalized and the faster you fire the more you penalize your opponent).
  17. WUNDER8AR

as someone stated before, PS2 infantry combat is determined by rate of fire. nevertheless because 95% of infantry engagements appear to happen in facilities, thus close quarters. you cannot avoid that if you want to capture/ defend territory. so unless base design gets entirely revised or low rof weapons deal signifcantly more damage per bullet at significantly better accuracy ( alternatively high rof weapons deal significantly less dps at significantly worse accuracy), the NC will be always severely lacking in gunplay. I play VS btw.
  18. warmachine1

Which is bad in competitive enviroment, faction requiring more skill to match others will die out.
Then even godlike skill wont help u underpopulated 1:3
  19. SirBurning

    Yup
I play NC in beta and since launch.
When i play TR or Vanu it seems people dont die , requires so many bullets.
  20. veritech002

But that's wrong, our weapons are meant for long distance engagements. Low ROF gets torn apart in CQC.
