    Planetside 2
Death Legion - Legionnaires is a new outfit that has a balanced style of play; our members being able to operate on both ground and in air with some versatility, but our primary core of play is infantry shock assaults, playing mainly as mobile infantry with frequent uses of galaxies and sunderers. Since we're also currently small, we employ guerrilla style tactics focused mainly on ground mobility. In the future as our outfit grows, we will incorporate more strategies and tactics designed for bigger sized forces.
We gladly accept and welcome all players of all playstyles and cert set investments, although keep in mind we focus mainly on infantry-play. Every member of this outfit is equally valued and respectfully treated until the misconduct or violation of our principles.

We came. We saw. We kicked ***
Our foundations of success came from arduous discipline, organization, and leadership. We're down to earth as individuals, but our sources of entertainment and fun come from hard fought victories. Death Legion has benefits for being less numerous. One such is that we have high organization and another is that we know all of each other by name. But it's not just our unwavering will, fearlessness, sharpened disciplines, or perseverance that grant us victory in wars. It's as well because of our harmony, wholeness, and toughened bonds that allows us to take on and tackle any odds. Courage is our blood, honor our backbone, and loyalty our conviction. This is what defines all of Death Legion. Anyone can join, but to emerge as a Legionnaire of our clan and outfit; one must possess the will to become.

Our numbers few. Our unity unshakable.
We are a casual clan and body with few restrictions. Currently there are no entry requirements other than getting on teamspeak3 in joining, but we do expect maturity and civility from and to all members. Our clan and outfit is small, but that doesn't go to say we are weak. It is not our size that defines us. It is our past achievements, bonds, and collective determination that exemplifies who we are as a community. See not our littleness as a fault, but rather see it as an opportunity to make a difference.

    We are Death Legion.
Our roots trace all the way back to 2001. From Project Entropia to Face of Mankind, we were founded with great success in leadership and camaraderie as a small but tight-knit multi-gaming community. Today we are seeking potential new members and friends to play with on Jaegerson. We welcome anyone who's looking for community to join our outfit/clan.

What we expect from our members.
We are not some clan with an unbroken hymen, that has a whole list of expectations for their members to meet and follow. We have few but sensible principles to abide by:

    1. Don't be a *****.
    2. Treat other DL members with respect. We're a family here.
    3. Represent your clan in a good light.
    4. Get on teamspeak if you're gaming with us. No mic required. Refer to rule 1.

    Final Note
We're more than a group of players with just one common interest in playing a game. We're a community. There are times where we play competitively and go on ops in PS2, and more so times where we just kick back, **** around or play something else, and most importantly, have fun doing all these thnigs. We use our ts3 as a place to hang out, rather than use it strictly to spit out orders.
Death Legion is clan first, outfit second.

Good to see some FoM players around.
It would be good to play with you guys if you're running an outfit on this server. Reefer is playing on TR on this server if you have anyone playing TR.
  4. Kairyu Ryden

    In-game name: KairyuRyden
Best class & vehicle: Light Assault
Willing to listen to orders on ts3? (y/n) Yes
What role fits you best? (Support, Recon and Sniper, Soldier (Heavy or Light), Team Leader, Pilot or Driver, etc.): Light Soldier
Just started this game and currently investing into Light Assult (Jetpacks are fun :) )
Coolest moment you experienced in-game so far : Getting into random squad which got 3 galaxy and going deep into enemy territory with multiple fighter escorts.
  5. TindalosHound

    In-game name: AntiDerivative
    Best class & vehicle: Engineer
Willing to listen to orders on ts3? Yes - along with mic
What role fits you best? Support
Fun fact about yourself: Wicked at guitar.
Coolest moment you experienced in-game so far: On Indar fighting against the TR. They must of had one or two dozen armor - all coordinated - with infantry support and they were slaughtering us. Eventually, after losing about 3 territories in a row, the fighting was forced into a narrow passage. We had the height advantage and managed to get some heavy armor at the top with anti-vehicle soldiers along the rocky sides of the passage. It was GLORIOUS. The TR were stopped dead in their trackers and the passage turned into a slaughter field. It got to the point where you didn't even have to aim - just load a rocket, fire it down the passage and you were almost guaranteed to hit some enemy armor.
Going from horribly losing to horribly winning is one of the best feelings.
  6. MNO

No OFFICIALLY ENDORSED Built. Probably some fanboys like pizzaface running around though.

Playing on EU servers I'm afraid.

    Goodluck.
  7. DLJord

Sounds good, I've been in a similar situation, locked down into a canyon with tanks rolling in. Turning battles around is what we strive for.

I'll throw you and invite in a little while.

Welcome KairyuRyden, I noticed you registered on our forums also. I'll try and get hold of you in game for an invite.
  8. Jake the Dog

dafuq two death legions? one TR and one NC... A house divided...
  9. Kairyu Ryden

Already in the Outfit JLJord, Haskaal threw me an invite.
  10. TheYellowKing

    In-game name: YellowKing
Best class & vehicle: Medic & Heavy Assault
Willing to listen to orders on ts3? Yes. Communication is key to victory. New to Teamspeak, though. Always used in game, mumble, or skype before.
What role fits you best? Support and/or charging in to get people to move forward
Fun fact about yourself: Black Belt
Coolest moment you experienced in-game so far: There was the time we were holding off three or four tanks with a bunch of heavies. They would try and come around the corner and fire without getting hit. They weren't doing so well. Then one of them decided to just gun it up the hill and ran over six or seven of us. Any time I'm participating in a well coordinated assault on a large fortification things are pretty awesome, that's when it starts to feel real and less like a bunch of ants running in circles and getting shot.
  11. Steppa

    In-game name: Steppa
Best class & vehicle: Light Assault / Lightning-Skyguard
Willing to listen to orders on ts3? Yes. I have a Logitech G510 keyboard that works well with both TS and Vent.
What role fits you best? Flanking quickly to hit the enemy from the sides/rear. Providing rear security against the same. Blitzing key points to set up before firefights bog down into clumps of combatants.
Fun fact about yourself: Ex-military, currently logistics professional. Former rock radio morning show host, wannabe sci-fi writer
Coolest moment you experienced in-game so far: Last night, actually. Vanu had a ton of air, but couldn't get their infantry to commit beyond a couple of sunderers that were quickly destroyed by armor. Skyguards scared off the last remaining liberators just before the TR infantry and armor showed up. Fighting from the outlying buildings of a tech plant, I took part in an impromptu, very defined, axis of a firefight. My flanks protected on the left and right with a balance of MAX's, HA, and medics, with LA running on the sides making sure theirs didn't flank us, it almost looked like the whole thing was coordinated. I switched to engineer, set up a turret, and started laying down suppression fire because that appeared to be the only thing we lacked. We held off repeated waves of TR infantry until their armor showed up, which was repelled in turn by NC armor. All in all, it was the best firefight I've been in so far.
All of this is just practice as the various outfits find their footing and command shakes itself out on the various servers. The real fun isn't going to start for a few months yet when the newness has worn off and platoons become companies, all very, very good at what they do.
  12. DLJord

Hey Steppa I saw your app in the other thread. I've added you to friends and will invite you when i catch you online.

You can log on to our teamspeak and ask for an outfit invite though if I'm not around. IP = 'death-legion.com
  13. Steppa

I'd like to roll with you guys for a night or two before joining. I'll try to catch you later this evening. I'm usually on after 8:30 central or so.
  14. bassbeast

    In-game name: Bassbeast
    Best class & vehicle: engineer/galaxy
Willing to listen to orders on ts3? (y/n) yes
What role fits you best? (Support, Recon and Sniper, Soldier (Heavy or Light), Team Leader, Pilot or Driver, etc.) Uh so far I've enjoyed piloting the galaxy, I enjoy getting people together to work for a goal, its not fun alone and you don't get anything accomplished, so I guess I could put team leader down too.
Fun fact about yourself: I can make armpit farts.
Coolest moment you experienced in-game so far: Maybe taking 1/2 of indar in one night when most people were sleeping, or making my first squad and taking over key places I dunno.
  15. Arkanian

    In-game name: Arkanian410
Best class & vehicle: Medic, Sunderer (2x bulldog) and reaver
Willing to listen to orders on ts3? (y/n): looking forward to it
What role fits you best? Sunderer Driver and squad medic
Fun fact about yourself: Masters degree in comp sci, professional computer programmer
Coolest moment you experienced in-game so far:
Being a Liberator primary gunner over a deployed enemy sunderer... looked look we stepped on an anthill and pulled out a magnifying glass.
  16. Reefer

Think of it as split personalities.
  17. DLJord

Sure thing. We should have a large group on tonight as we usually run outfit ops on a Friday. Just hop on teamspeak when you're online and you'll find everyone.

Galaxy pilots are always a welcome addition to any platoon operations. Teamwork and organisation is what we strive for. I'll get you an invite. Until then you're welcome to hop onto our teamspeak and join in, the IP = 'death-legion.com'

Sunderer farming with a libby is too much fun, I did something similar with one of the landing pads at a Bio Lab, easiest way to get some exp :) I'll get you an invite in a little while. While you're waiting you can join our teamspeak, IP = death-legion.com

Coolest moment you experienced in-game so far Worked support healing/reviving dozens of players during a tech plant takeover; took us an hour but finally pushed the TR out. Turned the tide of battle and started taking over all of Indar. TR evacuated (as they should!)
