Nanoweave armor as no place in a game like this ! Remoove or Make the shield recharge have a penalt

    1. Nanoweave is available to everyone, even the sniper. That's not unfair or unbalanced.
    2. If you're asking for everyone to be the same (armor wise), then what would be the point of having different classes? This game would be boring.
    3. Wearing Nanoweave requires no skill? It's a suit of armor. NO armor requires skill to wear.

    Nanowave could help a little in battle but so few (If I have good memory -wich is not the case- level 5 permit you to survive 1 more bullet of any waepon -125 damage). It will help a little agains grenades and other mines, but that's really a small advantage. If you count the distancez and calculate the number of bullet you have to shoot before killing it, it's not really interesting. Take the last pump action shotgun and kill every one in 1 shoot (I'm sure nanowave will be useless against them).

    We also can say why DCA in the game, light assaults don't know if they need 1 or 2 c-4 to kill a max or a soldier. Same for other advantage you can have with certs like health kit. That give you a small advantage against 1 thing. You could have also one (certainly DCA for a medic) and other can't kill you with a weapon as expected (1 mine or 1 c-4 here). And ? DCA armor as no place in a game like this !

    People use to have different armor or weapon, why did you want they all take the same number of shoot to kill them.

    There is No mastery of anything when it come to Nanoweave , its a plain and simple Health BUFF for LOW SKILLS players that whine all day long that the ttk is to fast because they keep dying even with nanoweave ,

    But like i said Nanoweave isnt reserved for LOW level skills players , so equally skills players or high level players the one who use nanoweave will have a huge edge over its opponents , its factual and if you denied that man , i cant help your condition ...

    NANOweave is not a tactics , by any mean i will repeat myself one more time , NANOWEAVE is a plain and simple armor buff good agains anything that can hurt your caracter Its a plain and simple buff of 250 more health to atached to the lame caracter who use it ;)

    how thats tactical ? like i said everyones will end up using it and this day , all the balanced of every weapons made around vanilla players will fade and imbalanced between weapons/magazine size / damage / etc.. will become more and more obvious

    Those who need or required nanoweave to do good whould get into VR training and start train themself to shoot straight

    On topic nanoweave armor qith 10 certs grant you 100 health boost and nanoweave 5 grant you 250 and ttk at range become even more problematic whiout considering already existing lag issue and so on that will simply amplified this even more , also i do not envy a 0.76 kdr while using nanoweave ....

    As well as having Multiples Nanoweave users become more and more overwhelming when it take from 2 to 4 to 6 more shot to kill a single guy depending on ranges etc.. it become less and less fair and more and more inconsistant and poorly balanced

    if 1 guys out of 100 was using nanoweave i dont see the problem lol but its not the case , most peoples should i say more and more peoples are using it Entire clans and zergs are now using it

    they requires more shot to kills so more time to kills so more unfairness in the skills level required , more bulllets spend on a single target so more frequent reload wich mean more risk to be kill while reloading and so on ...

    If your not using it , they will force you down the road to also use it but at this point the entire weapons balance will have to be rebalanced all around this awefull nanoweave armor that have NO place in a game like this

    Whiout considering the fact that they are Imune to be single shot headshot by bolt actions snipers

    Again, the main issue is that it throws off TTK values. IT more heavily slants the balance in favor of low damage + high rate of fire weapons over high damage + low rate of fire weapons. Because while one bullet more may not be as huge for the low damage high rof weapons, it's huge for the latter.

    This more adversely affects a whole faction's TTK than the other two.

    this is also true , i dont even know whats was on the devs mind when they introduce this , they migth just want to make the (( ttk is to low treads to end ? ))

    Anyway still think Nanoweave should be remoove and only shield ability that dosent change the raw ttk of the weapons should be allowed

    the only game where an armor buff that change the ttk is acceptable its game where you have the heavy class who are slow and slugish the medium class who are moderate speed and the ligth class who are fast but fragile , so the armor vs ttk as a positive and negative aspect if they were slowing down the player speed ans straf speed by 30 % for nanoweave users maybe it could have been acceptable ... dont know how it could play out so

    there is no such thing in planetside so every infantry should have the same health point and ttk at all range ...

    Most of time 1 extra bullet would not have made the difference, prox mines, esf spam, tank spam, nade spam and rocket spam however do.

    I never had a problem w/ NW users personally. Prolly because I'm not a pesky sniper. NW exists to ruin your day as a sniper. Y'know, considering that snipers ruin a lot of other people's day on the other side of the fence. While you play MMOSniperGhostWarrior, I play the objective. You simply don't deserve to get the ohk on me when I'm on full HP. Go find somebody else w/o nanoweave. There's plenty of targets to choose from in this game. Or just hit me twice. It's not too hard

    Further, although you might not get the ohk on me, you still deal serious amounts of damage. It takes about a single bullet from any rifle to finish me off. If you'd care about helping your team out rather than being a self-centered narcissistc killwhore, you wouldn't mind losing the kill credit to somebody else. Quit wallowing in self-pity, move crosshair over the next target and continue your leet sniping session.

    Though I wouldn't mind if the different suits would be actually displayed as unique looking suits on the character models so that you can tell which suit your opponent is actually wearing. Easier target ID would be a decent buff for snipers in particular, so they might as well just leave me alone.

    Then again, I kind of hate NW because it takes away choices. I think that a small nerf to shield recharge isn't a bad idea actually Stew. Though I'd still rather if the other suit options would be made more insteresting. Really looking forward to the upcoming changes to ASC. It's actually my fav suit option already and I'd prolly use it 24/7, if there wasn't those pesky snipers. Noticed that you're kind of shooting yourself in the foot here?

    NW I don't mind. It's just wrong that progressive layers have no penalty such as foot speed. Still, I use high rof guns nowadays so as to negate armour and shield benefits as much as I can.

    A weapon with a measly 550 rpm is pumping out ~9.2 bullets per second. A weapon with 750 rpm is putting out 12.5 bullets per second. The TTK difference between nothing and NW5 in close quarter combat is measured in hundredths of a second. How in gods name can anyone be crying about that? The two places in this game where NW 5 makes a significant difference is surviving sniper headshots and it's synergy with the HA resist shield. Outside of those two scenarios you will probably never notice the difference between NW5 and another suit slot.

    Could we stop with the ad hominem attacks on the original poster? There are some valid points that he addresses.

    If your argument is to just equip nanoweave armor to combat other players using nanoweave armor, this completely negates the idea of balanced sidegrade options for the suit slots. There should not be a singular choice for people to take that is much better than the other choices. This is a similar argument to people stating that to counter harassers, you need harassers of your own!

    The suit slots were designed so that the only disadvantage is that you are not able to pick the other options. While the other slot options are specific for certain roles and situations, only nanoweave armor is a suit slot that is helpful for all harmful situations:
    • Projectile damage
    • Explosive damage
    • Fall damage
    • Higher health on revive
    • Enhanced protection from TKs
    One way of making nanoweave more situational is to change it so it protects only against projectile weapons fire for the body and limbs, not a base HP increase (like the armor in Counterstrike). Then, front line soldiers will take it for infantry combat but headshots will still be rewarded. The resist level should be high enough to offer an alternative to flak armor.

    I agree with this fellow somewhat, even though i cant make heads or tails. Nanoweave is overused. It gives a straight up health boost with no penalty! You played cod4? At least you have to give up stopping power for jugg. I personally think Nanoweave also throws weapon balance into disarray. The NC suffer the most from nano due to our slower RoF ans higher TTK. Nano needs a rebalance IMO. Flak armor is what i roll , but at least its situational, and only against splash dmg. Nano just gives you an across the board health increase. Flak and Shield cap are balanced, nano needs like a penalty like a slower shield recharge rather than being the allpurpose it is now.

    It could be renamed into something that has to do with shields and give some kind of glowy effect around player showing that there is something different about him.
