Nanite Revive Grenades should revive at 100%

    Nanite Revive Grenades should revive at 100%.
    It costs infantry resources as well as certs to unlock, so why make it feel like punishment for the people like myself who have purchased the 6th medical applicator and are used to just reviving without having to camp each person to top them off?

    I realize this idea has been put up before, but I cannot find the thread for it.

    Because it would be a wee bit too god. The strength of the nanine revive nade shouldn't be revival at 100%, it's the ability to revive multiple people when you need them up ASAP or reviving people who are too risky to revive with a tool.

    It has it's niche, let it stay there, it's fine.

    Do a lot of people actually use these regularly? I find the default frag grenade more useful in most situations. I know the revive grenade has its niche, but I find it far too situational to warrant regular use.

    either press "F" OR throw a heal grenade

    cant throw a heal grenade if you just tossed a res grenade, unless your siting at a consol.

    This is counterintuitive to me, if it's too risky to revive people with the tool then there's a good chance they're going to be under fire when they revive and reviving them at lower than full health is likely to mean they'll die before they can run to safety - so it seems pointless unless your primary goal is personal XP gain from the revives.

    It depends on what role you want the revive grenade to fulfill. If it is meant for situations where you cannot get to the player or it's dangerous then I think it should revive at 100%, it may need other tweaks for balance though.

    I think I've seen more people praise the revive grenade for its XP gain rather than its utility though.

    Here you are going to run into the difference between people who run with organized squads and outfits versus the general masses. For the general masses it is just a tool for more certs, for organization it's a fast way to get a squad back up and ready after you just crashed that room and wiped out the defenders.

    Note: Some general masses will use it for the same purpose but more often there are enough medics to make individual rezzes more effective.

    Pretty much what darlith said. I run with my outfit 99% of the time so I find it to be a very useful support tool. As for the "reviving people who are too risky to revive with a tool." part: I've revived people that were behind enemies and when they got up they shot the enemies in the back, instant flank! Or when running with a small squad I tossed a nade at a friendly heavy that was just killed by a tank that was threatening our sundy. The result of this was that the heavy got back up, shot it in the rear and blew it up and the guy was probably asking himself WTF happened, that guy was dead a second ago with no medic near him.

    Valid point re organised groups, if you're in direct communication with each other the negatives I think of aren't issues.

    I finally relented and bought the Revive Grenade and it really is inferior to using my Heal Gun to revive and retaining my Frag Grenades (I have several times accidentally lobbed green bombs at my enemy but then I barely play Medic now so forget....)

    I think that it's a "Tactical Grenade" so it does not bounce about so much but by the time it's landed and triggered I could have run in and Revived the target/s at 100% - and I usually find other Medics do indeed do this so it regularly revives nobody.

    My record is 3 but I'd say on average it's 0.5

    Coming back at under 100% life is a liability so I'm sure those people don't thank me for it, even though I run in using both my heals to get them to 100% ASAP.

    If "Mass Resurrect" at 100% is considered too powerful then my suggestion for improving it:

    Make the grenade trigger more quickly - the instant it hits the ground!

    They're fine, you're just not using them correctly. They are situational, don't just toss them all the time like you'd do with frags.

    Probably less effective now than when everyone was piled near capture points and grenade spam could down several out at once.

    They could revive at 75%, but 100% is too much.

    Liberator and tank spam in a crowded area. 20 dead bodies on the ground. Throw the revive grenade. +12 certs.
