Then I probably don't see many of you guys because I don't like allies, instead of watching your back, they'll usually shoot you in it or let some other enemy walk right past them and do it for them, so I don't go where my faction has pop, where you guys would go to find a fight and be outnumbered. Not to mention I hate people stealing my kills and eliminating my targets! I suppose I was wrong to say it was lame, given my limited engagements with you guys so I do apologize. I shouldn't assume you guys are the same as most of the other "elite" outfits that I've encountered, which primarily farm. I just get annoyed when I think of "elite" players because the vast majority of the time I see people playing a certain way and never venture from their comfort zone, which to me isn't the PS2 experience, even though I infantry only, I at least try to deal with all threats on the field (yup, lock on scrub reporting in).

    PTFO 4 LIFE(and many respawns after that)....YO

I'll be honest with you guys, I was expecting a lot more "l2p scrub" and "all DA hax ban 5evr" comments and am pleasantly surprised at how civil this stayed. Even stranger, you guys put me back in the mood to face the VS more often on my home server even if (or especially because) thar be MLG players in them hills

I did not know about all that, anywhere I can find out the NC tag so I know when Gandalf brings the riders of Rohan to save our ***** the best of Mattherson are on my side?

But most are SVA heretics that don't know about the love of the Orion, burn them I say!

Your post wasn't aggressive at all, that must be the reason, also, I laughed really hard at the toilet paper part, that made my day :D

Our NC altfit is SBW, but we're not playing that one very often lately (the NC don't seem to need help lately, they're way too many)
  4. Corporate Thug

It took me almost 10k kills with my Orion on my first VS char to even try the SVA. Since I tried it there was no going back. Sure, I can kill people faster with the Orion, but I play super small squads and tend to run into a squad or 2 of bad guys at a time (the way I prefer it) so less reloading is just pure winning...SVA, the peoples champ. You also get more stock ammo so u run out a lot less. It's all about what you plan on doing with your weapon, proximity to friendlies/terminals etc. The SVA also sounds better and no one can dispute that fact.
  5. Phaze

I can't remember the last time I saw DA do anything particularly impressive.
  6. Trudriban

Glad I can make you laugh, and I feel ya about the NC. Don't know why we're the new fotm but I wish we get some good leaders among the new guys

AC had that highly suspicious Jessica, got banned at least 37 times by Smedly himself

Isn't that standard for most organised outfit play? 90% of organised outfits on Miller check all of those boxes. Every single point in all of its context and intentions.

I'm not even being hyperbolic. It really is standard procedure to gal drop in to a tech plant through the "letterbox" or room, dropping down the legs to the external balcony, setting up on the "overwatch" internal balcony covering behind for counter-gal-drops and as a firing platform over the CP. If that's already covered by another outfit, you set up a squad or 2 to cover the grav lifts from the vehicle bay specifically - and lastly move down to the "Big gun" stairs.

Even then outfits are always pushing new and more efficient ways to attack & defend.*cough cough*.

Most Miller Outfits have a bunch of standards for nearly every facility and base design for maximum effectiveness, and composite or modular squad loadouts.

Hey that's a good idea. Speaking of good outfits, WASP should challenge DA in the next Community Battle or whatever those are called.

Not gonna lie, I wish I would see the Waterson outfit more often... More often as at least once.

We've actually been considering playing on Waterson more again. The VS zergs on Mattherson are getting out of hand, that and Mattherson Meta lately seems to be, "avoid any type of good fight, zerg the **** out of everything, leave the fight if you don't have 7:1 odds."

Gotta agree that mentality really sucks, especially since WDS amplified it to insane amounts. Considering how this thread went I might roll Vanu on Waterson (and force myself to cert farm until I have every weapon class' 167 damage variant, got too used to the NC ;))
  14. Devrailis

It got amplified by the WDS event, which gave no one any incentive to find fights if they wanted points.

The problem is, it's just too damn easy to deploy around. The moment a fight looks like it's going to swing one way or another, people either pile in and snowball the zerg, or they vanish - *poof* - gone. So by the last 5 minutes of a cap, you're sitting there looking at an 80-20 spawn camp.

There are no mechanics to keep defenders around, and attackers can appear instantly from the other side of the continent. There's no logistics in the game at all, which severely cuts back on the gameplay options available, and it causes these flash zergs to appear and disappear at will.

Another problem is, people seem to think that deploying into an 80-20 zerg in their favour is somehow a productive thing to do.

If it's that bad, play a VS character for a while, or play on another server.

Personally, I believe we should encourage switching to the overpop faction until SOE implements an effective motivator for players to play on the underpop factions. So get Mattherson up to a consistent 60% VS and maybe we'll finally get some -real- benefits for the underpop factions.

No real interest in those until we have a format that works for live servers.

The last impressive thing I remember Ender doing was one shotting me when I was a cloaker at Hvar tech plant with a shotgun. I think I scared him sitting there in plain sight with a green label above my name. Though he did sticky grenade a max and blow up a squad mate. What a jerk.

If you aren't in/with a good outfit(not necessarily "competitive"), don't bother playing against the good outfits with random players unless you don't mind deaths/frustration and accomplishing nothing. They've got competent people watching their backs, spotting, using radar, etc. etc., you've got chickens with their heads cut off - often with weaker gear to boot. You are feeding them kills and should not feel bad about just leaving.

Sadly, I think those of us who hop around a good bit discovered that Connery is much more active. Waterson basically gave us (or at least me) more of the same when it came to fight density and things like that. Here is hoping for a merge so we can be like Connery having 8+ fights with at least 25 - 48 people going on a horribly early or late hours.

Sad but true, however I've played my TR on Waterson and it's no better over there from what I've seen.

It just seems like Mattherson has fewer and fewer opportunities for a decent, say, 24v24 halfway-balanced fight over a base. Either you're ghostcapping, you're part of a zerg camping a spawn room, or you're getting flattened by the opponent's zerg. And the two zergs actively avoid each other.
