[Vehicle] Mustang AH

A lot of people are saying that the AH is fine because the PPA is good too. No. If the PPA is really good at killing infantry then it should be nerfed too because having weapons that can easily instagib infantry as long as they're outside is just a broken concept. It means that in a fight in bases that have a lot of outside areas, in a semi-small fight, you are forced to simply redeploy elsewhere if a pilot with an IQ above 50 and one of those guns shows up. In a game made to be fun, these things should be more tailored to allowing for fun over frustration.

this game cannot be completely balanced on a small scale (12v12 is sizes) if it;s going to have much of anything interesting for 48+

12v12 fights IS about "OP" items and direct countering them

ESF's are relatively useless in large fights regardless of the power of their anti-infantry guns, they are simply too weak. If you want to support air in a large fight, grab a liberator.

I wouldn't say the rocketpods are always better. The AH excels in hit and run gameplay, which is extremely effective in heavy AA. The rocketpods don't have this ability due to not having AB tanks. With the reavers amazing afterburner, and the synergy between it and a racer/fuel pod setup, the AH's instagib capabilities are amazing. While I do think rocketpods are a more effective A2G weapon over all, the AH has it's purpose as well, even if it is much more situational.

I don't think the AH needs a nerf, but the other noseguns could use a buff of some sort to make them better against air, and the banshee needs to be buffed against infantry as well, since they clearly over-nerfed it. The locust is a better choice for an AI nosegun atm, as it works just as well while still being decent against air.

That's putting it more into the realm of fun rather than functional, at least IMO. I know exactly what you mean and I do it sometimes myself. But usually when I'm using the Reaver its in support for a squad. I just love peppering the area with missiles, as it kills, but most importantly it shocks the hell out of the enemy to turn tail and pull back. And that is just the edge the squad needs to push.

AH gets kills, but doesn't shock the ones it kills. And if you're using ABpods then you're moving a bit too quick for a good precision shot that you could get with the rockets. But I could see the getaway portion being needed with the pods. In other words I kinda agree with you but kinda disagree.

Rotaries are pretty good, but this would make them.. less so. I actually think the best thing to do is to buff the banshee slightly against infantry, and I do mean slightly. And then reduce the damage of all AI noseguns vs vehicles across the board. That would be fair.

    That's not true at all

Any place Libs can contribute, I still can in an ESF. It's much more peek-a-boo & hit-n-run, but it's possible unless it's hit critical mass where Libs get shredded faster than they can get in and out with limited LoS and Afterburner too
  7. Ronin Oni

I literally think the only thing they need to do is tweak min splash dmg a lil bit, make dmg degradation on it's splash less extreme.

Maybe extend max damage range to like... .2 or .3 (it's .1m.... basically, direct hits) and drops to 1 dmg at 1m IIRC

It was shredding groups far too easy before, but hitting the ground at an enemies feet should be better than it is now. I do better with the needler, at least I can hit reliably them when I aim right.

LPPA is performing pretty appropriately... it's REALLY annoying to be on the ground against those things though... of course, a couple AA and they have very limited exposure time and thus, very limited effect.

Yes of course, any alert wins are baseless for balance discussion.
I think you got my point but just in case, i was basicaly saying, even cherry picked supposed 'balanced' times during alerts are far from that and bear no meaning to weapons.
As you pointed out, not everyone does the alert, not everyone cares, thats what i was saying in my last line, theres no way to account for who 'tried' during each alert.
  9. stalkish

I see you didnt understand my post at all.
Alert are NOT a good measure of balance, even prime time alerts, as i said in my post, have problem areas and cannot take into account all factors.

Dont call me a racist, you dont ******* know me, so shut your pie hole.

The reason i chose 16:00 to 00:00 as prime is because im on a ****** european server you dumwhit, and believe it or not i have plenty of experience during other times of the day and night (played until 05:30 GMT the other day) and believe me when i say, those times are absolutely NOT prime time on Miller, theres barely a full platoon on the entire game.

And your 'where it matters' is also complete and total utter crap, 5% of your playerbase vs 95% hhhhhmmmm i wonder which one ill cater to in order to advance my product?

Get a clue man, get a clue.
  10. stalkish

I do wonder if this is the case, but i never really play my VS and dont use the dumbfire a lot when i do (infact i dont use dumbfires a lot at all tbh), perhaps i use it in more 'ideal' situations on VS meaning more of a reliable experience.
  11. Flag

The S1/M7/Shrike(?) are identical stat wise. Different particles, at least for the VS one, but they behave the same.
  12. CMDante

Nerf it to Banshee levels, it'd be funny. Then do the same to the LPPA.
  13. CMDante

It really doesn't, I (an awful pilot) trialed it on an otherwise naked Reaver and went on a 10 kill spree when I needed to do ESF kills for Basic Training. Get close, acquire kills, that's really it.
  14. Taemien

Wow I struck a nerve. You must have some guilty conscious to think all of that applied to you. Might want to work on them skeletons in the closet.
  15. stalkish

O the turn it around 'i struck a nerve' comment, arnt you a smart one........ You replied directly to me and i responded in kind, you dont know anyone on these forums you dont know whether anyone is a racist (im wondering if you actualy know what racism is). You cant go around throwing baseless accusations and then pretend its the other person with the problem when your called out. Well you can, but your credability will be -273.15 Celsius.

At the moment im wondering your age tbqh. Thats the sort of trick i used to use in primary school on the less well educated....
Just accept you made a wrong assumption, its not that hard, not if you have some humility that is.

I did not make a personal attack against you, you took offense to your point being debated and made a personal attack against me. This is what I said (for those who don't wish to read back a few pages):

I did NOT call you out specifically. Just because someone replies to you doesn't mean everything in the post applies to you directly. If you took offense to "Some of you" which infers the plural. So you either have guilt, or you made a misunderstanding. I personally don't care which.

But the reason I made that statement was due to threads being created involving banning IPs from Oriental regions. Something I despise not only because it is racist, but because it hurts fellow military members serving in said areas (to which I know a few). So it is my opinion that if you (IF, I'm not suggesting you do, but in the case you do...) support those threads, then you can kindly go f- yourself.

So.. if you've got nothing to hide, nothing to be guilty of, then consider it a shotgun blast over the head. But if you do, well all I can say is GT-FO.

I'm PREEEETTY sure they actually aren't the same, and the VS is slower (with corresponding extra drop)

Maybe it's just the G2A in dumbfire mode that's different.
  19. Ronin Oni

all well and good but still irellevant to the point that alert wins as a metric are useless

The players playing on the factions, what they do, and how good they are FAR outweight any minor balance issues.

They're an interesting stat at best, but CANNOT be used in balance discussions with any reliability. There are far too many other factors that affect faction win/loss, PARTICULARLY off peak hours when population numbers are more apt to wildly vary (NOTHING against anyone who plays such factions, it's just the nature of off hours not having perfect/good population ratios)
  20. Flag

The Nemesis is slower and has more drop relative to the S1/M7/Shrike, that is true. But it's the same as the Grounder and whatever NC one is called.
Just like the Hades, Skep and whatever the NC one is called (never remember which launcher does what of the hawk and crow).

Just like how shotguns and BASRs are uniform across the empires (excluding the 3 special sniper rifles and the jackhammer).
