Mouse Input Lag makes game virtually impossible

So I've returned to planetside after about 2ish years away from my desktop and for the first time ever noticed major input lag on my mouse. There is about a .25 second delay from when I move the mouse to where I look and it makes tracking a target virtually impossible.

My FPS in big battles hovers between 40-50 and in small to medium fights is above 60. So it's not an FPS issue. I've checked all the mouse enhancement options in settings, I've tried both a wireless and wired mouse.... no difference. I've unparked my cores to enhance FPS. I've adjusted settings... nothing.

I've read this issue has been happening to a lot of people ever since some recent update (that I wasn't around for). Has anyone been able to solve this issue? Or does anyone have recommendations on how to? Or can anyone link me to another thread that addresses this??

Anything to be able to shoot again. Currently the only useful thing I can do to gain certs is revive people.

ive never heard of this issue - it brings me to the question of CPU usage itself. Perhaps lowering you maximum voice channels on your audio settings to around 50 may improve this by lowering CPU demand without effecting game performance

Ok this is a good idea. I'll try this.

My PC has always been able to run this game well on true ultra graphics.

i know people in the past have made comments about the poling rate or w/e on their mouse being too high lagging out the game cuz of its CPU usage. this is the only logical conclusion i can come up with for this issue for an input delay. that or some sort of background program controlling the mouse.

Try turning off VSync. I heard of some people having a similar issue and I've experienced it myself. Give it a shot and hopefully that'll help.

I have an anker mouse and ASUS monitor I've never experienced any mouse lag, even if there are frame drops.
