No problem. =) WRNC is a pretty stout group too, though.

We have multiple styles... we have about 6 PL's that all lead differently. ToshMi likes everyone to be in one place, SkillSet likes everyone to be having fun, and I like everyone to be productive and efficient. Sometimes we run an IGAS platoon.. (Alpha) Infantry, (Bravo) Ground, (Charlie) Air/AA, (Delta) Support. More often then not, we let our SL's call the shots for their squad because (depending on the opposition) we can be making more ground spread out. Sometimes we pull 16 Liberators and fly in formation from base to base, providing air support.

I don't think we have a "style"; we don't "zerg" (amass more forces than the enemy and attempt to overwhelm them by throwing our players at well-defended areas like cannon fodder). We adapt, and overcome. If we come across a large NC force while making a push we go elsewhere, because that's what Sun Tzu would do.

How do you kill that which has no life?
  3. Dagonlives

You need to f**k off with the KDR postings kid. My personal KDR right now is 0.94.

Last month it was 0.6, and the month before it was 0.4. You want to know why? When I was a new I thought 20 frames was normal, so I went 140 kills for 500 deaths. Then my friend who played tried to use my laptop and complained. The planetside 2 update put my frames from 20 to 35-40. Then I bought a new mouse because my old one stuck together and made me fire two shots instead of one. I got very practiced at this game. I used to average 2.2 deaths for every kill, now I average 2.2 kills for every death. It's called not having the best computer equipment. I'm guessing you run on high with 60 frames? That all you really use are vehicles that are fully certed. I am exclusively infantry, and occasionally a mosquito or MAX suit. All you do is fly around with your chauffeur and farm BR 5 players. What about some of my teammates who are incredible medics, but rarely shoot their gun.

Also, some people play for the leadership/social experience. Being a good leader does not mean being a good shot, but it does sure as hell help when things get hairy.

Total KDR doesn't mean that much bro.

More like you die every time you spawn...
  5. Blackweb

Now we agree on something. The outfit and platoon interfaces are terrible. I am always managing the platoon or outfit and getting myself killed. I should rename my character "sniper bait".

My k/d is either really high or really low.
  6. Blackweb

Razzy is an awesome medic and engineer. He is often my partner medic when I am playing HA. I warn any medic that wants to partner with me.

KidApathy, you would do well to have Razzy follow you around as a medic or engineer. He will always make you look good and not care about himself. Razzyman is the ultimate team player :)
  7. Blackweb

Don't bother, this is not my first rodeo at leading a guild or outfit
  8. Holydragon

    Interesting...
  9. KidApathy

Lol, yea he helped you get that steller .82 KDR right?

Caj, we get it. You spend all of your time killing people and you are damn good at it.

You are talking to squad/platoon leaders here; people that spend a lot of time in their map map working out strategy. My KD is not stellar either, but my squads get **** done.

I respect your natural ability to get rounds on target, but you can not fault anyone in this game for having a KD less than 1:1. Sometimes I go on runs of 10, or 20-1, but my KD doesn't really reflect that at all. When focused on killing (and not leading) any one of these guys can wreck shop.

Here's what amazes me. KidApathy/Cajual has, according to his sig, 32days played in Planetside 2 on that character since December 4, 2012. That's 768 hours of game time. Considering that, as of today, it has been approximately 80 days since Dec 4, and he has spent 32 of them playing PS2, we can roughly infer that:

(Assuming he works a full-time job and there were give or take 7 days of holiday time between Dec 4 and today)
    He's worked 400 hours
    Slept 640 hours
Played Planetside 2 for 768 hours

And that's pretty much it. That leaves just enough time for going to the bathroom and maybe driving to a few places. KidApathy/Cajual doesn't DO anything else, this is all he does. I wouldn't call that much of a life, but it does explain why he has a high KDR. Hell, if I dedicated my life to this game like he does I would probably be arrogant about it too.

Ouch, when you break down numbers like that, looks kind of sad.
  13. Dagonlives

To be fair though, I have about 500 hours logged on steam. I would say about 100-150 of those hours are me just doing essays on the computer while leaving the game on to chat and gain certs/resources passively by checking back every 30 mins. Still, it is amazing how much time you can waste on this game!
  14. Weatherford

I've got 871 hours Steam count, but half of that has been managing [TRAF]! Haha.

I always like to jokingly tell other people in my outfit that they are the reason my K/D has gone from 6 to 1.6 slowly over 3 months. People who choose to lead in this game instead of shoot get very little reward. All of you who do choose to stare at that map have my respect no matter what.

    Lib running == skill apparently.
  16. Razzyman

While the game might not track and reward you with a stat stop and think about it. What would [TRAF] be without it's leader doing that? Without it's SL's and PL's taking their time to do training, spending time looking at their map, maintaining the outfit forums and so on. I know that without Blackweb PHX wouldn't exist. The time he takes to log on, get the outfit organized, call out targets, plan strategies, do basic training for our new members, set up our website, our TS3 server, pay for Vent when we had it, and get shot while looking at his map so his outfit can succeed. This is the reward, the success of the outfit. The recognition from your allies, and enemies. [TRAF] wouldn't be what it is without these people, PHX recognizes and respects that, we understand it because it is how we operate, that's why you have our respect, your actions have earned it. While it may not be a fancy in game reward like getting your name on a leaderboard, it means a HELL of a lot more in mine and many peoples minds. That's reward enough for me at least.

Wow, you're mean. No wonder no one likes you.
  18. KidApathy

I'd like to thank you Haskaal, along with the other 52,000 steps on the stairs to BR100. Can't be the most well known player on a server by being nice. I couldn't give a **** if you dont like me, i'm going to kick your face in regardless :)
  19. SpaceMilk

I only have about 100 hours logged. :(
  20. doombro

    I have well over 300. :p
