Once upon a time, during an alert i decided to cap undefended territories, captured 3 bases in 2 hours and got only 25 certs... Gave my faction a victory at no cost... Pls bonus points for stealth capping...
Isn't the big money to be had from capturing constested bases? Don't know the actual mechanic for alocating xp but I can't see why there should be a bigger reward for risk-free activity.
10/10 i hope this comedian is here for the rest of the week, Seriously, this might as well be a big joke, you can't actually think no effort is highly rewarded?
1)My faction won the alert 2)captured 4 bases 3)each base took 10 - 15 minutes (going to it, capping it, going to next, also one base had a 120 lvl defender gave my faction a victory for no reward. I had to do this because i cant go to 48-96 battles, scince my PC is a potato, meanwhile alert wars are based on 3-5 battle points where everyone fights.
You must be new- Ah, member since Saturday. I honestly hope this is a troll account. Ghost cappers (not stealth capping), are cancer. Plain and simple.
No ghost capping was happening. Ghost capping: Puting a hack on a base AND THEN LEAVING THE AREA Ghost capping isnt capping uncontested bases solo, thats solo capping. Ghost capping is putting a hack on and then leaving the base for it to flip on its own. Imaging you're a defender, you arrive at a hacked base to resecure it. You go to the point, flip it back, find no enemies, have a quick scan for cloakers, find nothing, no-one. At this point you think to yourself, 'must have been a ghost that hacked this place'. A ghost is not a physical entity (no i dont want to debate the paranormal). A person at a base waiting for it to flip is a physical entity, therefore cannot by definition be performing a ghost hack. The term comes from planetside 1, where players would hack an inactive continent in an attempt to distrupt the enemy front lines (or simply just be a nuisance to the enemy c-chat commanders), and then leave the cont to go join the fight again. This would usualy result in a resecure by a cr5 commander in a mossy, and 5-10 mins later the same base being hacked, probably by the same person, who then leaves........and the cycle goes around and around. All you see as a defender is your base constantly being hacked but no1 there when you arrive (0 enemies on enemy reveal), as if a ghost is there trolling you. Going to a base, finding 1 person, having a quick fight and then resecuring is intended gameplay, might not be large scale warfare but its perfectly viable option for soloists. The problem people seem to have with ghost hacking is the above mentioned tactic, and having to resecure, then resecure, then resecure, then resecure the same bases over and over again. Not fun if your not fighting anyone and just flipping points, at least fighting 1 person is fighting 1 person.
It should be the opposite. Why reward players who are too afraid to fight in an fps? Or who want easy mode? I miss that days when it required multiple players on the point just to turn the point. That alone would go a long way toward stopping ghost capping. Add a little code where the point reverts back to the owning faction should there be 0% enemy presence in the hex and this would be a far better game. But more rewards for "stealth" caps? No thanks.
But wouldnt auto flipping a point back to your faction if the enemy leave also be considered easy mode? Afterall, they went over there to hack it, why should the we not have to respond with the same action to rehack it? Isnt it our fault if we let a base that clearly says '0 Enemies' on the map complete its hack?
