PHX is constantly communicating in command, no response. We say things like "we are going here, or attacking this objective", no response. What are the rest of you doing? No response.

I think the fundamental problem is that most NC on Waterson seem incapable of taking or holding any objective or mounting any sort of sustained campaign. We are constantly looking at the map and seeing the rest of the NC on Waterson consistently retreating or falling back, especially during alerts.

Do any of you NC understand that you cannot win alerts in PlanetSide with defense?

us Iron Wolves are from Jaeger as well. was DVS the only big outfit on waterson before we all came? reguardless, It apears that all our outfits seem to all get on at different times we need to figure something out for when we have just 10 or so members each so we can all get together instead of just all lone-wolfing it.

Speak for yourself...the only reason VS's average 22% pop on Waterson ever has any territory is because of organisation. Try cutting your population in half and see how much territory you can control.

i believe the problem is that there is a large lack of platoons up we need to actively get on orders chat and seek people who will join our platoons and work as a team instead of leaving squads open and hoping for the best. we need to say stuff like "hey we got a platoon of 2 squads any other squads or platoons want to join us we are going x doing y" or something like that. im in iron wolves but generally play when most of my outfit is sleeping or at work so i open squads page and is usually barren or filled with 5 person single squads.

Are you kidding me? You do know that everyone that was on Jaeger is on Waterson? You make it sound like nobody/no outfit that was on Jaeger plays anymore. Jaeger was in need of a merge, period.

The only difference is they added more into the mix. Now I can agree TR from Jaeger got some craptastic people/outfits with the merge, and NC got more Zergfits, but they also got some very good ones. Vanu probably got the best part of the deal as far as quality from both servers, but still way under pop.

Maybe try to be under-pop most of the time, and watch the need for coordination go from a "cool idea", to a "necessity" to get anything done. Right now TR/NC don't need it.
  7. Ammathor

A ****-ton of Jaegar outfits flat-out died after the merger.

And the Quality of player dropped like a brick into an endless ravine on the TR side.
  8. Hellhammer

what's the server population like on Waterson? Is it a East or West Coast server?
  9. Frosty The Pyro

Population is pretty high most of the time.
  10. Radioactive Pirate

    It's east coast.

I find this entire thread extremely odd, because when I'm on Waterson, NC has no problems steamrolling both TR and Vanu due to having 50-60% server pop.
  12. CaptainYamerica

I'm glad someone else started this thread. I almost started one myself. NC on Waterson are just sad in general.

We in SPV try our best to do what we can, but we try to "avoid the zerg". Both our own and that of our opposition. We tend to play a harasser role when we can due to our smaller size, but we will be growing soon and hope to get some coordination with some other outfits going. The NC on this server need it.

The other issue is we have so many baddies taking up slots within our faction that just want to be in-game trolls circle-jerking in the warpgate, or lone-wolfing it without accomplishing anything, or TKing just to TK, or some other similar nonsense.

I know every faction has their window-lickers, we just have a higher proportion of our population that mouth-breathes and eats paint chips... at least is seems that way to me.

VS on Waterson scare me most of the time, simply because they are so well coordinated. I'm jelly.
  13. Hellhammer

I would only suggest that Waterson and Mattherson merge then. NC and VS outfits on Mattherson are pretty organized, and the quality of players is pretty good too. If the server TR population on Waterson is lower than the NC or VS, then unfortunately it will only add to the unbalance to the server.

TR usually run at about 6% lower server pop than NC, and about 4% lower server pop than VS
  14. CaptainYamerica

    On Mattherson?

On Waterson, when I tend to play anyways, NC and TR are usually pretty even and VS is outnumbered.
  15. Rasui

As the voice of the Waterson Vanu in this thread. Keep doing what you're doing. I like winning alerts with the lowest population.

    Shush you.
  17. Obscura

Lol wrong, the VS are the organized faction on waterson. We have a collection of all the large and most of the small outfits called the Vanu Alliance, we coordinate with each other through our own command channels set up through TS and mumble and support each other during ops. This is how we win alerts and control continents.
  18. Frosty The Pyro

waterson has a large enouph pop that just about all alerts go 33/33/33, world pop stops matering once contenent pop maxes out.
  19. Hellhammer

Frosty - world pop does matter, because when the continent is even across the board, the overflow go to other continents and creates the imbalance. I forgot who posted it but, alert continent balance was 33% across the board, then the other continents were dominated by NC (continent pop over 35%). So while you're having fun on said continent, your fellow faction members are getting their teeth kicked in elsewhere....but if you only care about about what's going on, on the alert continent, who cares about the other ones, right?

H4TZ here. We have been trying our best since the merge to keep in touch with everyone using Command Chat. Just this afternoon during the Alert I heard H4TZ, DVS, DREV, PXP, and others working together on Indar for the Alert.
