You are asking for more tanks.. if they could be spawned everywhere, more and better weapons and more survivability..
we would become even more hated by everyone else..
The current proposed nerf, (when does it go into effect ?? ) may not be all that bad.. but it is bad. Hopefully that is the last of the nerfs.. but probably not.
For Prowler, it might mean that every prowler will run AP.. and we will all become excellent snipers with it.. then nothing changed, because we might just kill just as many infantry with it as we did with the HEAST pre-nerf..
Problem is, we will figure out how to become efficient with the nerfs, thus making us look OP to infantry, regardless, and then they will ask for yet another nerf..

SOE has to take a stand.. and say 'that's it..'.. that is as low as the tank weapons will go.. no more nerfs. no matter how much infantry wants to cry and whine.. 'live with it'..
But for that to happen, SOE would have to put on their big girl pants.. not sure they have any..

Infantry already does fine against tanks, this is a really dumb nerf. The only issue they have is when you've got tanks at a distance just spamming HE rounds from outside the base. There's not much infantry can do about that aside from popping out for a quick dumbfire rocket shot. However those tanks ARE incredibly vulnerable to being flanked by other armor or aircraft because their infantry is fighting in the base. Not everything needs a counter to everything.

I really dislike the saron nerf because the halbird magrider looks.... bad
The Saron really fits it and mounting a rocket launcher on a alien floating tank that shoot plasma seems unfitting.

That why I like ES stuff, It adds flavor into this game. There is more too it as you have to play to your strengths.
Personally if the saron and halbird switched their In game models, I would use the halbird.

I guess I'm rather inexperienced with the PPA on the Magrider then. Feels too inferior compared to the one on the Scythe, which dominates when it comes to killing infantry. I can close in on target to target in an ESF without much trouble, whereas it's nowhere as easy in an MBT. In addition, the lower damage, the definite need to lead at medium ranges, coupled with the lower fire rate makes me prefer the Saron.

In an instance of 1 infantry attacking your tank, the PPA and Saron are about equal now.... the Saron is much easier to pinpoint hit those infantry.... however, when you get into multiple infantry groupings and targets attacking your MBT... which happens a hell of a lot more in a Mag than will every happen in a scythe (you can pick your engagements it scythe or bug out)... the ability to just keep firing forever with the PPA is amazing.

The PPA has something like a 50 round clip. Combined with its slow rate of fire means you just lay on the trigger and keep it coming. Its the essence of a spam weapon... If there are targets, then there should be orbs flying towards them at all times. (It's not a subtle weapon)

The key for the Mag driver is to always get that PPA gunner the high ground. Getting direct hits on infantry is pretty tough due to the slower projectile speed, but if you have the ability to miss and still splash by their feet, the PPA has a close STK on splash that it does on Directs. So the Driver needs to get elevated as much as possible and then the PPA will rip through infantry like crazy.

That's probably another reason the Scythe PPA seems so good.... you ALWAYS have elevation.

I don't usually post many videos about the PPA cause its not one of the playstyles I prefer usually, but here is one specifically dealing with the infantry farming i'm talking about. Unfortunately it's from my perspective (VPC), but my gunner was getting about equal kills to me during the runs. Granted, these type of situations are pretty optimal, but it showcases the gun in the right circumstances.
