One of the larger complaints regarding maxes is the lack of efficiency in melee combat, making the Max directive a slow and tediously difficult task. While discussion of melee weapons is in the forums, there are a list of reasons for there delay and possibility of being a scrapped idea. So instead of directly adding a new melee weapon into the game (for now), using and already useful in-game tool makes things simpler for players and daybreak. My suggestion regards the use of the concussion effect as a max ability giving the Max a cool down or giving them a form of grenade or utility item. This would allow players attempting melee to have a better chance at getting both swings in to defeat a full health opponent while also adding a different combat element for point grab/hold Maxes. While i imagine this idea has flaws, i feel that through thought and discussion the idea can be refined. What do you think?
