[Suggestion] Max kills count twice

My suggestion is to make a Max suit count as two kills.
As the suit is basically a vehicle, and vehicle kills count as kills nowadays, I guess it would be quite helpful if the suit would be a kill too. It is quite hard to get the auraxium on AV-nades post-nerf and as it is not that easy to bring down a max, I guess this would be a nice feature.
    Any opinions on this?

Sure. When Clear Vision and certain other implants work for MAXes. When they count as a vehicle so they aren't so easily run over outside.

isnt there already a max kill bonus?
  4. IvanCGray

Yeah, if MAXes are to be counted as vehicles, give them the whole shebang, Collison resistance to vehicles and all, and allow them to either use or not need basic implants like Clear Vision, and the like.

Susceptible to G2G lock-ons (IR smoke), detonate AT mines if they walk near them (Mineguard), always show up on the minimap (Stealth)?

I'm against unless they change the assist system.

Currently you can do 99% damage against a Liberator full with extreme menace kills. But if one guy with a pistol hits it and the Liberator burns to death, that guy is going to get the Lib kill, as well as 3 extreme menace kills. The one who risked everything to deal 99% damage is going to get 99% damage assist on a Lib, but nothing for the pilots.

The same will just leave an even more sour taste for me when engaging a MAX. I deal more than 70% of the damage and someone else goes away with the kill, getting 2 kills in one go plus MAX kill bonus while i'm stuck with some assist XP? It's neither fair nor feels good. And I play games to feel good.

At the very least, XP assists should acknowledge your contribution more if you do in access of 50% of the damage. Especially against vehicles the pilots should give you assist XP as well when they die in the explosion, and in your new system you should get at least get assist XP for the MAX kill bonus as well.

I think they mean for directives. Since MAXes are pretty much indoor tanks, it is reasonable that they would count as a second kill for the weapon.

Unlike proper vehicles the MAX unit is not one that you can bail out of, so no, no double kills on MAX units.
  9. IvanCGray

Yes Fate, all of that. Let ground lockons target them, make them detonate tank mines, and give them like a 5 meter auto-appear on the map. Hell, let me park my MAX and jump out as infantry of whatever class I was, a la Iron Man suit retraction.

Also yes, implement XP rather than kills for directives so assists count for something, ffs.
  10. radrussian2

ahhh, yes that makes sense. im for that.

    And add bailing system.
Maybe i'm wrong, but killing vehicle with driver = 1 kill. in case driver bailed and died = double kill

    you forgot limited turn speed
  14. Doc Jim

Oh and while we're at it, make damaged MAX units smoke when damaged and burn up when heavily damaged.

    Non-revivable...

Yeah you know what max lovers? I'd love for SOE to make this happen. Higbypls!

I was doing the pro/con thing. I'd have no utility I could cite as its counter, unless you count Combat Rival Chassis (but where would you put it?).

Same reasoning as above. I guess I could have said Fire Suppression but it doesn't quite fit.

And lost when " killed " .. Can revive the player but the suit is gone ..

I support this entire thread; make MAX's Iron Man Suits that function like literal indoor tanks with the same style of options for the suit as they have for chassis, defense, and utility.

Literally all of it. Smoking, fire, turn rate equal to MBTs, ect, ect.

Though I do believe they should receive a durability buff to have close to the health of atleast a Harasser, in exchange for the increase in vulnerabilities.

Would be exploited due to the fact that a vehicle can be killed perm. A max can be ress'd. Bad idea, sorry.
