MAX faction abilities

    ZOE needs to be completely scrapped. Charge needs to be deleted. Aegis needs to become a Vanguard type shield. If Charge gets scrapped, Lockdown will be more appealing, though it needs faster deployment (and probably slower undeployment to counter balance).

    Once upon a time way back when there was a game much like PS2 with heavy units with empire specific abilities.

    One had a 360 shield that stopped it from firing but on the other hand could absorb a bucket load of damage, sound a bit like the NC but better.
    Another empire specific ability was (well after much discussion it became two) an over drive ability that increased the fire rate for a limited amount of time and the other ability that did the same thing for an unlimited amount of time at the cost of no mobility. We'll call this bunch the TR

    Now there was a third empire with a unique ability that made it have increased mobility (well not much to be honest) at the cost of much less health, but they required 1 single bullet less to kill an infantry player within 10 meters. Nope my bad that's what we currently have at the moment.

    Oh yes it was this thing called jump jets in this game for the third empire, yes there was a bit of complaining about how great this was, but then in this game there was this thing called locked doors that these heavy units couldn't open and spawn points along with most cap points were actually buried deep within actual bases so that the jump jets would be of limited use inside. For the sake of simplicity with a bit of work this could become the new VS empire specific ability.

    What was this game, oh yes PLANETSIDE...

    Things that would make jump jets useful but not completely overpowered

    Limited jet ability ie make max level comparable to level 2 or 3 of the light assault jets. With a long recharge. A very long recharge.

    Add 'doors' to limit max players movement without infantry support and seeing as doors may have issues with lag ie being open on 1 players screen and closed on another players, just have colour coded shields which have a second to switch over after being hacked from closed (opaque) to open (clear).

    Or we could just ignore the fact that the VS empire specific ability is to have no empire specific max ability, useless pistols (ok we now have to spend 1000 certs to get what is arguably an inferior copy of the desperado) and what can be classified as a heavy harasser (not a tank because it has neither the DPS or the armour compared to the others).

    The speed is in your fire rate. Lock down, locked down. :) I've used lockdown a lot and I never had complaints about it. It's a very lethal ability when used right.

    I thought TR was bullet spam, not more speed?

    Each faction has an infantry trait & a vehicle trait. The TRs traits are bullet spam & vehicle speed.

    All of the Max abilities except charge suck (Lockdown makes you an easy target for the number 1# max killing weapon, ZOE makes you a big shiny target, Aegis Shield doesn't function reliably)
