Mattherson/Waterson Merger coming sooooooooooon YESSSS

Honestly the major outfits are ODMN and the 382nd. There are other outfits out there but they are on the smaller side. Waterson lost a lot of players with the last few updates. I haven't been on for two weeks since I left for work, but it was difficult to find decent fights for our platoon unless an alert was ongoing.

Meh I have to stick with the PS4 because using a controller will be very hard for me since I don't really play FPS games on consoles. Gonna be a tought ride trying to be good with a controller.

Since NUC went stagnant the TR on Waterson is pretty meh.

NC seem to be the ones that will impact Wattherson the most.

VS have a couple decent outfits but we are coming with a smaller pop overall so the impact will be less noticeable than it will be with the NC arrival

And if it is official then those who want should be given the option to transfer their merged character to a different server of their choice.

Give out a free token to transfer and opt their character out.

And you think the merge will help this? Increase that to 99% after the merge.

To be as honest as I can here, TR is largely zergs at the moment. Most of our top outfits run less than two squads at best, and aren't even present before 7 PM. And by our best outfits, I mean the ones that don't operate by throwing down a waypoint and watching their squad members run into the enemy bullets one after another.

Going down the list by total members in descending order, 382 is exactly what it looks like, ODAM doesn't exactly have a very positive reputation, given their history on Waterson for being the premier mega zerg since forever, V1C1 was a zergfit that popped up in the late days of Jaeger and disappeared at some point, Angry Army (AJA) is the Angry Joe outfit, and SMO does not exist according to my internet. We're already off to a great start.

Going further down, we have Artillery, which began as an outfit started by Whiteworm, a great guy, very passionate about raising Waterson TR's cripplingly low levels of general competence. Unfortunately, he got burned out a few months down the road, and is no longer leading them, to my knowledge. So, in the end, Artillery never really lived up to their potential as an outfit. Now they're just kind of here.

I have a feeling you'll get along quite well with TRAF. They have a very long history, pretty much starting in the very early days of Jaeger, if not Beta. From what I've heard about your outfit, they run in a fairly similar way. They're probably the only Waterson TR outfit still around that actually runs efficiently organized multi-platoons. Great bunch of guys, too. My only complaint with them is their lack of concern for time or resource allocation. They certainly love their showmanship, and they will often spend up to 30 minutes or more in the warpgate lining up their vehicles and infantry squads to prepare for their warpgate speeches before operations. At least, that was my experience when I played with them. But once they get into the fight, they're an excellent group to have around.

And following that is LUXE (Terran Hydra Corps) and HMRN, two fairly active outfits whom I honestly know very little about. As I go further down the list, I see more and more outfits that I don't see around much anymore. The main outfits that stand out to me from that point on as active ones are HR, QPRO, RMAR, and then, a whole lot of outfits that are fairly quiet these days. Around the 60 player mark, you start to see the meat of Waterson TR's active tactical and competitive outfits, like IRNG, HSTL, NUC, etc. Beyond that, it's either outfits that are long gone, or the really hardcore outfits with 80+% weekly activity ratios and very specific goals, such as ECUS and DD12.

I seem to have made a wall of text here. Sorry. I hope that answers any remaining questions you may have had about the state of Waterson TR.

For NC factions coming in there are two major ones. Fortunately for the NC I bet PHX will break up once they hit a month into the server. I am not happy that they are coming with us because they will drag the NC down a notch. POTP on the other hand will have a major impact and so will the smaller outfits like EZC T11C and some others. Can;t wait ot be playing with Drathamuz and Wrel on the same server though. It will be fun. Can't wait to smash some cold-heads and the commies. See you on the battlefield.

Edit: I apologize to the PHX players who do not kill teammates for fun or run over players for no reason. You guys rock. However your leadership needs a lot of work, at this stage all they say is "stand here and die."

In my honest opinion, it really doesn't matter if they're zergs or not so long as they can go where they're told. The only thing that matters in this game is cooperation.

You know some people don't want to be tryhard. Everyone isn't you.

I guess now I'll be forced to put up with the VS and their ******** whenever I log on, and to a lesser extent TR's.

Ugh....I mean Connery ain't as pleasant as Waterson but at least they ain't a bunch of tryhard drama queens, they just troll people. I may end up spending more of my time there.

And anyone who thinks this is a good thing are missing the implied fact that the game is clearly dying or this merge wouldn't be necessary.

The game has needed server mergers since the last server merges It's just the nature of the game; it needs to have a very high population per server or it loses the whole appeal.

The game's population started out much higher, due to the unique premise and F2P, but much of that (~50%) was driven away due to severe balance issues and performance being awful. Since last march, populations have remained more-or-less steady, with spikes at OMFG and at patches.

Fine. Then give us who want to transfer our characters a token to go to a different server not yet infected by Matherson. Transfer tokens were promised eons ago.

That never happened on any other server merge why would it happen now?

I have a 94 Tr on Watterson and a 70 NC on Mattherson. Trying to coordiante the Mattherson NC to win an alert is like trying to herd cats. We've lost numerous 48+/48+ battles with 60% pop in our favor.

Thought I would clarify: Mattherson does not have any pop imbalances at this time as far as I'm aware. Generally populations are fairly even, but all three factions have their days where they hit 38-40 pop. This is due to a community (especially VS outfits) that will switch to the low pop side if imbalances get really out of hand (PRAISE MALORN).

Seriously though, the population balances have been really great on Mattherson for at least a couple months now and I'm hoping this merge doesn't mess that up too badly. Either way this merge isn't going to fix whichever population issues are currently in existence on Waterson because we're bringing pretty much 33% for all sides.

Just to clear up a misconception here, it's very rare for VCO to be running more than a platoon these days and most of the time that platoon will be almost entirely filled by players wearing the [VCO] tag.

Until this problem is solved I can see no potential for merging unfortunately.
