Mattherson NC we are badasses :D

    It was two on one and still held. res's worked just fine....sometimes it took awhile and even longer for the exp to show up but they worked. I got tons of rez points. I had to run over ammo packs two or three times to get one rocket at times...but then I would notice that I all of a sudden had a full backpack :)

    I dont see how all the problems could possibly give an advantage to the defenders....it was the same for everyone. We werent sitting in a base fighting two factions. We were out in the open and running all the way back to the fighting from the base which was some 300ish meters away. We had no resources to build sundy's and we couldnt fix the ones we were able to build. It was all about medics staying active and patient. I know I must have had 200 rez's last night.

    People keep saying gamebreaking problems....even with the problems, this was the greatest night of fighting in Matthersons history. I say it was gameMAKING. Great f'n fun!!!

    Ok, here is a little information shed on the situation for people who were not there. Looking at the map below you will see the Northern most area in White is the NC current warp gate. The 3 hex territory north is where the fight was at for TR vs NC ... The actual base itself is all the way to the Right "BEHIND" the warpgate.

    With the above in consideration, Galaxy efforts were worthless as you would get shot down or if you did reach the target, you would land and noone would render for 10 to 15 seconds after landing. So Galaxy Drops would not work ... So that leaves a Straight up push ... well that would be do-able under normal circumstances, but is still hard as you have to full all your troops PAST the warp-gate to reach the base ... This was impossible, the stuttering was ridiculous as everyone knows was an issue when you looked towards a large number of forces. We couldnt push because tanks were unrepairable, bodies were unrezable, and our closest spawn would be multiple hex's away as we could not keep them up due to the before mentioned reasons. Normally a push of that nature requires tanks/spawn points to move forward ... both were broken at the point.
    I am glad NC is feeling like the accomplished something, that is awesome. Realize NC has been the joke of the SERVER for months ... you feel you are good because you hold continents, but you do not realize VS and TR ignore you even if you have 2 continent locks because all you do is back hack and run away from typical battles. Maybe this "Defensive hold" will give you some big boy pants so you will actually fight us and not worry about ghost capping.
    Mad respect to VS but I was on the entire time and am part of The Enclave and there was no truce ... VS just used common sense and tried to remove the Continent lock on indar that you received from ghost capping during off hours.

    Haha, it's so funny that some people can't give credit where credit is due.

    Anyway, thanks to those TR and VS who gave us a pat on the back and told us we did well. I'm proud to have been part of the defense, and I'm proud of my squadmates in [WILD] and the rest of the NC Coalition for sticking it out during a massive and chaotic battle. Despite the server flipping out (for EVERYONE, NC included) it was a heck of a lot of fun, and gave me some insight into the potential this game might have should SOE gets things sorted out on the technical side.

    Anyway, I'll big enough to give props to the enemy forces out there - you guys gave us hell despite the problems you were encountering. I very much look forward to ridiculously major battles like this again in the future. Nice job to everyone involved for a GREAT time.

    I'm among the first people to complain about the average quality of NC players. We footzerg, a lot. If we have an armor column, we usually wedge it into a tight space, get it all blown up, and then don't pull any more armor and just go back to footzerging.

    Tip for you, Bro: Enclave aren't that great overall. They're good, they're amazingly good at organizing and locking small, defensible spaces down. When I see TE tags at the Crown or in a Biolab, I know to leave, because ain't nobody breaking that certfarm. Frankly, I'm jealous of the legendary TE biofarms, you guys have to pull in mad certs between all the trashtalking you do while farming and all the lifting I assume you do in the downtime between pushes against your certfarm.

    But there's the thing: TE isn't the end-all, be-all, alpha-omega of Mattherson, despite how much they like to think so. You guys show up to the party with an armor column, get crushed, then footzerg until that gets crushed, too. Sound familiar? Yeah, kind of like the "joke of the server" NC tactics. You've got some good players that are great at abusing game mechanics (I can only imagine that weekly training sessions are held for bunnyhopping given how much I see you guys do it) and fantastic at "last stands." Beyond that, nope, you guys are regular players like everyone else. You aren't gods, you aren't even that tactically smart.

    Funny thing: When NC's warpgate was in Suck Canyon, about the only fighting you ever found on the server was on Indar. TR and VS never, ever left it except rarely VS would leave to ghost another continent. NC, at best, matched VS and TR pops on Indar because the TR and VS slots were full, and we absolutely never had a pop advantage on the continent. Now that the warpgates are moved and NC can actually get out of Suck Canyon, OMG, it appears that the VS and TR are rarely interested in poplocking the continent, and are either not playing, or are spreading out to Esamir and Amerish, continents they used to say "don't matter" and "don't count." Perplexing, that.

    And for a final rub: If the situation on Indar was currently in TR's favor (who, strangely, had issues locking and holding Indar when they had the north gate and its supposed impervious northern outpost) where they had a cont lock, I'm sure TE would see absolutely no problem with Arc Bio-Engineering's placement or ease of defense.

    I fear TE when I know they are in a lab or on the crown. Anywhere else, I fear the VS because I know that faction will not hesitate to recall, regroup, and shove 20 libs or 40 mags down our throat if we're giving them a hard time over a particular piece of land (oh the Crossroads Watchtower battles we've had) because they play a combined arms game. TR/TE and NC really don't do that well, we're too lazy to go get the right tools for the job.

    Lets cover a few points. Your location was correct, well done. VS and TR did have tons of air power. Yes NC shot some of it down. By no means all of it. Air power was severely limited because nothing would render for either side. Gal drops were not useless, as you put it. Yes you might land and no NC would render. However, the drops wouldn't render either, thus the NC had no idea you had even dropped. As for spawn points, both VS and TR had lots of sunderers and the resources to build more, plus plenty of bases to pull them from. Yes they were being destroyed, you simply pulled more, and parked them on the other side of the road, out of line of sight from the NC base meaning we couldn't see them.

    Yes NC has a very good night crew that caps Esamir and Amerish late at night. If you notice, we have a fair amount of competition during those hours because the VS have recently been doing the same. Even the TR has been taking a cont late at night lately.

    I agree that NC has been the joke of the server for months. TR and VS were always the "big boys" of the server. NC always had a smaller pop (not saying that is any excuse, because it isn't), smaller and less well organized outfits, and yes they didn't tend to stand and fight unless it was for a biolab/tech/amp station were a good farm was going on.

    All that has changed. NC pop has skyrocketed, outfits have gotten better and there is a new sense of pride in the NC. We took Indar, and as of the time I write this, still holds Indar. TR has taken Indar, but never holds it for more than 8 hours. NC has held it for what, 2-3 days now? TR's pop lately has fallen pretty far. Oh I grant you it's decent from 5-6 to 11pm EST. But I logged on last night at midnight, they had just 24% pop on the server. TR was one of the big dogs, and every dog has it's day. That day is over for now. I've no doubt it will come again. But for now you want to play with the big dogs, you roll NC or VS on Mattherson. Yes TE is a huge and well organized outfit. One that is well known and effective. I give TE props. I even tag along with you guys when I play TR. But one outfit that plays 5 nights a week only during primetime? TR can't depend on TE to win the war. You have other outfits yes, but none that are overly effective.

    As for big boy pants....well lets just say this. TR and VS were always the "big boys". The NC got pushed around on the playground. No longer. We beat the TR down. Stole your big boy pants and gave you an atomic wedgie. The VS want a good fight? Come see the NC. The TR will fight for a few, do a nice max crash, then flee to Amerish or Esamir. The NC will stick around until we beat you, or you pry our guns from our cold dead hands.

    Move over TR. This is our house now.

    I like the NC posts here they make sense.

    Kudos to the NC for having mature gamers.

    NC has been doing better I am thinking the ranks grew due to other low pop servers. Our ranks grow every day we're near 600 members our self grew 50% from 2 months ago ourselves with a great core group.



    I've never defended so much in my life bouncing between crossroads/crown/tarwhich/etc. While NC are doing something the TR never did : try to take land. Seems like Tr mostly now get stuck at allatum/tarwhich/crown/rashnu. I know when we had the WG we did great, we were always pressing onto dhaka and heyoka always wging (mainly) TR and NC. Even thought before the switch Tr had the best WG

    Nc are at least playing their WG how TR never have. Wish we had that WG, in beta Indar( only map) was always at least 60% purple(on our server). then they switched them to the release WG and now switched them again!!.

    Which is fun!!!

    Kudos to the VS for being much cooler and accepting about the NC having come of age. I have respect for the VS, specially those on Mattherson. As for you wanting the northern WG, you will have it soon enough. I am excited about the coming battles, and dreading them at the same time :)

    Seriously, every time we make a good Northern campaign TR zips in and tries to snipe Tawrich. They are working harder then the NC to keep the Cont Blue.

    Dude, bro, mad ******* certs. Mad certs! For each time I trash talk someone, I get 30 certs. It also multiplies by 10 for every time after. We know how to cultivate the farm, plant the crops and plow the field.

TE almost never uses tanks ... besides AMS and we only use that for spawn points ... the rest of your post may be true, didn't read. .. that single line made the rest of your post not worth my time.

    I take nothing from NC as of late, you are starting to show some fight and as I said originally ... I AM GLAD ... but some moron posting an entire "NC MAttherson are badasses" after holding 1 hex due to problems neither side could handle ... that is why i posted anything ... Continue to think NC "Beat" the TR down ... please do .. that is an opinion that only NC will hold as we proved last night holding your Tech plant from your entire force.

    This is just the way the continent is designed. The VS would do the same thing to the NC on the rare occasion the NC would bother poking their heads out of the Indar WG. Tawrich was especially fun back in the tech plant meat grinder days!

    Actually it kinda is, you'll know when TE logs off... the tide changes almost immediately and TR becomes very quiet.

    VS has a mix of decent leadership but no real names stands out, NC has some good leadership and often coordinate pretty well but GOON stands out the most, TR before I deleted my Matherson TR toon, well...
