This moment right now on mattherson. I'm too lazy to take a pic and post it.

but jesus. TR are quite close to warpgating the VS, and what do the NC do? They go right after empty territories of TR in the north, with 4 platoons worth of server pop.

NC have no sense on Mattherson.

It actually makes tons of sense. We're too busy dedicating our time and resources to the front against the VS, leaving little between us and the NC. That gives them some free territory with minimal opposition.

except that "free territory" gives them nothing.

XP and certs? its empty so they are getting less, not like you can cap bases quickly now. Influence on the map? it will be undone in an hour...
  4. Morticai

For anyone interested in certs alone, you're right. For the people with some measure of strategic awareness and an eye on more certs, it's a god-send.

By taking positions behind our main fighting force, they get the option of either snatching up a proportionately greater amount of certs than us simply because they're getting more territory faster, and that's until they either warp-gate us, or worse, nip us from behind while we're not expecting it. Vanguard forces that push without capture can delay anything we send from our zerg, making it a complete inconvenience for us and entirely rewarding for their push.

Which is why you never give the mouse a cookie.

i completely disagree. Nothing is gained of any realistic strategic value.
  6. Morticai

Which goes to great lengths in explaining why we can't seem to gatelock the VS. We are approaching the situation without the necessary considerations. Just mice charging into an obvious mouse trap in the hopes that this will be the day, the day where we were fast enough to beat the trap. Every time though, we instead end up rewarding our opposition with more certs than our own front, and get drawn away from accomplishing our goal. Every. Freakin'. Time.

Typical TR moronic argument......."Taking territory doesn't mean anything noobs." ........"OMG, we have to break the VS Indar territory lock!" ............. "WTF NC are taking our territory because we are ignoring them to try to break the VS lock!!!!!! 1111!!!! one11!!!" .......... Are TR players really so dumb that they can't realize how moronically hypocritical they are being?
  8. Phrygen

what does it mean then? And if VS had any apreciation for your argument, they wouldn't have teamed up with NC to break the TR lock.

    speak of hypocritcal... Derp

then the indar VS lock will not end until it is reset by the devs. And rewarding more Certs? They don't get any certs from capping empty bases. I get more certs than that from my passive bonus not being logged on.

Some people just like to see the world burn.

one thing the NC have accomplished with taking TR territory is milk a river of tears from people upset on the forums

It's the only reason we have such a hard time warp gating them lol. VS/NC had to work together and team up with a hacker that killed 500-800 TR in 30 minutes to take away our cap. TR could easily do it without a Hacker if the NC just held the Vanu at any of the SE most territories and left the rest up to us. Ah well, such is life.

Eh its the forums. I would highly doubt any of the leadership or even the members of the said outfits even set one foot into the mire and muck around here.

Of the ones that do its almost always going to devolve into trolling and other normal forum epeen shenanigans.

Just point out that the lock is there and has stayed there for quite a while no matter what the opposing factions do to take it back or excuses they spout on the forums. :p

Typical attitude of a player who thinks the game is all about battle ranks and certs. Not really sure how to explain territory control in a way to you that would break the cod muscle memory you have built up.
  12. Strykar

The NC have done that before and the lock still wasn't broken.
  13. CoffeeBreak

The problem is two factions trying to warpgate one of the southern corner warpgates. Doesn't work like both pushing the north gate split down the middle. It's a smaller area and not everyone is in on the "alliance". It will turn into a threeway fight even if the two attacking factions are trying not to.

For all the ATRA crap, the biggest problem when the VS and NC were trying to warpgate the TR was the other being there. The VS would hold the one canyon and the NC would start losing territory, or the NC would hold and the VS would lose territory. VS should have pushed NC back. Let the NC ghost cap their crap then handled the TR themselves. Same thing is happening now. One faction can push back another faction. That's how every single other warpgating has worked since launch. All the threeway fight is doing is causing unnecessary extra fighting that is not working toward the goal.

If the TR really wants to break the cap they need to split Indar down the middle cutting off the NC and take all the easy to defend places(Allatum and Skydock) BEFORE they funnel all the VS into them. Then it will be a VS/TR front and whoever pushes harder wins and nothing the NC does matters. Even if the NC starts ghostcapping the TR territory it doesn't matter because the goal is the VS warpgate right?

But I guess 6 months of other warpgatings didn't teach us anything.

I've yet to see us work perfectly together when we get close to the finish line. Normally we start off the map 50/50 like we're about to warpgate the VS, but so many times we get really close and then the NC start coming behind us and cutting us off. It would be really cool to pull off what the VS/NC did which was have Sunderers side by side for several hours straight and whatnot. I'm starting to think that until we are able to pull that off the VS may hold the cont lock until you guys get the SE warpgate. I've never found the VS on Mattherson to be bad btw. I have lots of fun going up against GOKU, NNG, AT, and TEST.:)
  15. Strykar

The only difference between the TR getting their lock broken as opposed to the VS is that the VS/NC agreed to a cease fire in order to gangbang the TR (I'm sure the hacker had a lot to do with it as well). If the TR/NC did the same thing to us I have no doubt that we would lose the lock pretty quickly, but for some reason the NC just don't like you guys as much as they do us. I always wonder why that is.
  16. Zorro

I love how jealous players are complaining about the quality of the VS army.
  17. EliteEskimo

Honestly I think it's TE haha. BWC,AOD,903,HNYB,E911,WOLV, and smaller outfits like mine seem to always act like gentlemen or civilized if we are wrecking the NC/VS. If you're ever around TE though, every step of the way while they're winning the yell chat is spammed with "NC is Bad bad baaaaad" or " You should've brought more Hacksaw Maxes losers!" ect ect. Sometimes when I'm around TE I can't help but think that their level's of trash talk are 9001+.

That and how the NC won't stop messing up TR's attempts to warp gate you lol. Zorro what Vanu outfit are you in?
  19. SgtScum

Tbh tr(and to a lesser extent nc) suffer from cod syndrome in its membership so its not really the major tr outfits fault. Take the average console fps player and dump him into the game and he is most likely going to go right for the most compatible faction to his normal bullet spamage which is TR.

VS otoh tend to attract the players who actually stopped to think about the game before settling on a faction to roll with.

Besides what loyal cod junkie is going to wear purple spandex? :p
  20. Devrailis

I have a feeling most NC wouldn't trust TR to hold their fire the way VS did. Also, the VS promised buns, what could TR possibly offer to top that? :p

A lot of NC zergs like to backcap TR while they push simply because that's the normal behaviour, back-cap empty territories. It's not the behaviour that makes the most sense in terms of removing the VS Indar lock, but normal behaviour and sensible behaviour do not always intersect. ;)

That and, when TR had the lock, they made a big bro-haha about having it. When VS had the lock, well, it took a month for this thread to pop-up. VS just ended up being more low-key about it and didn't incite people to come and take the lock away.

Also. Lets not kid ourselves. TR lost their lock when they did because a cheater came and trolol-faced them. If it wasn't for him, there's no telling how long TR would have held onto the lock. Maybe they would have lost it anyway, more probably, they would have kept it, it doesn't matter for how long, the thing is, they didn't lose it to a fair fight, they lost it to an infinite-ammo, no-clipping, aimbot who camped every key control point along the NC/VS push and made it impossible for the TR to defend their territory.

TR didn't lose the con't lock, they had it stolen from them.

    Uhh...

    No
