Matterson VS and Indar

I am TR and was in the driving force at Ceres.

There was 2 of our 3 platoons at that point at Ceres area. One went to get the one south of the Warpgate, where VS put up a solid fight and pushed them out. They then moved north to protect any leaks.

The NC pushed in taking out all of the TR sunderers we had stationed around Ceres and lost the point. Eventually the spawn there at the base. We were fighting off the VS push out, and the NC pushing from behind. There was NC vs TR battles, but the TR pop/spawns quickly fell off. If anything, the NC assisted the VS to push out of the warpgate and regain some territory (I am certainly NOT saying it was organized....it is just how it played out)

The way the map was shaping up, we thought it was going to be an Alatum Bio lab bloodbath, as the VS had it, and the NC were capping Skydock. We moved to Alatum out of Ceres as it was a faction sandwich. We just could not fight off Platoons from both sides and accomplish anything.

Kudos to the VS for holding off multiple times of 1-2 areas left to lose the lock. I have been involved with many of these times at various times of the day from weekday mornings to prime time. And honestly, I do not get to play as much as I would like...lol

don't forget to thank the NC for help taking it from the TR in the first place....other than that, good job for holding it thus far
  3. Strykar

This probably did happen, but if you guys were right between the NC and VS it's no surprise that you were pushed by both factions at the same time. Either way, it was a fun night and great fights were had by all. Good job and kudos to everyone involved ;)

This is the most passive aggressive post ever.

Do you try to be the worst poster on the forums, or does it come naturally to you?

VS are going to hold Indar on Matterson permanently. They have too many NC outfits working for them for the lock to ever be jeopardized.

I watched time after time in the weeks following the break of TR's lock with a hacker when NC and TR pushed VS back to their warpgate with 1-2 territories.

Each time the battle got close a bunch of NC outfits pulled off the front lines, seeding the VS free territory, and went south to attack the TR. As an NC player who isn't interested in working with the VS, I and other questioned why so many outfits were pulling out. We were told to mind our own business.

I don't know how or why Matterson is the way it is, but with so many NC outfits acting as wholly owned subsidiaries of the VS, there's not much chance of ever breaking their lock.

When I asked specific NC players why they were sabotaging us in order to give the VS free territories, the closest I could ever get to a response was that it was justified because of BuzzCutPsycho.

That didn't make any sense to me then, as he wasn't even playing at the time, and it still doesn't make sense to me now. We're going to prove we're better than the TR by jumping whenever the VS say "frog"? How does that make any sense?

I think you forget why people play the game. To find action, the NC seems great if they don't give a **** about ghost capping all day and go straight to where the action is. It would have been a borefest if they play how you play..
  9. TekDragon84

How does abandoning a fight against the VS in order to back-cap the TR mean that we're "going straight to where the action is".

This is the type of crap I'm talking about. Stupid illogical reasons for justifying why a bunch of our NC outfits jump whenever the VS say "frog".

*shrugs* Seriously? Everyone is suspecting everyone else of being trolls and/or being "passive aggressive". Simple fact is, I work with Deathrus (we're both NNG) and he is generally just a nice and cheerful guy. Never has an unkind word to say about anyone and is always tempered by reason.

Vanu have held the Indar lock for a long time. That is simply a fact. Congratulations are in order in Deathrus's opinion and he has no reason not to post it. NNG has been instrumental to many of those last minute push outs (I personally lead the NNG platoon that pushed out of WG, through Ceres, up to Quartz Ridge, across to Rashnu, and down to Tawrich on May 7th for 8 hours straight) and we are proud of our efforts and, again, we have no reason not to be.

Conspiracy theorists, hypocritical posts, ATRA accusations, and all that other lovely stuff are all nonsense. As members of NoNonsenseGamers, we will not be party to such things (hence the name). If we feel like celebrating our victories publicly don't crap on our parade, as we don't crap on yours. If you need proof, look through the Outfit Forum for Mattherson, NNG members routinely compliment other outfits on their abilities out of no obligation except good sportsmanship and respect.

Now cut the speculation of reasons why we hold Indar, leave a simile or a kudos if you want, get in the game, find us on the field, and have some fun. We promise good fights with little BS, and that's ALL WE DO.

I don't think the NC are helping the Vanu, I do think most of the NC have no sense of "fight" outside of attacking TR, I mean hell for the past week we had a NC outfit camped out on TR wrap gate just shooting anything that comes out... sad part there not even doing a good job, they take out 1 galaxy... then we just go out another way ignoring them.

But ya, if the NC would actually ya know realize TR lost the lock a month ago and actually ya know keep the vanu from pushing into NC area or even push into vanu when TR have pushed them to their gate we could at least kill the lock.

And if your NC and don't like this message.. Well sorry I have seen it time and time again we get close to knocking the lock off only to have you roll in and start attacking us ignoring vanu taking your territory.

Meh but congrats vanu, have fun while it last, it will get flipped one day and hopefully the NC won't be sheep and blindly help you again.
  12. Strykar

+1 to you and NNG, coming from someone who started in the same outfit as you, S3

    Comprehension is lacking eh?

Go read what was written and read my reply.

Your response has nothing to do with anything, so there was no purpose of quoting me.
  14. VanuSovereignty

I dunno. I still shoot plenty of NC. Doesn't appear to be an alliance to me.

WATERSON NEEDS VANU!!! supposedly we have the 2nd largest population, but they certainly don't seem to be vanu
  18. AtroposZero

Ding ding ding! Other than half-assedly collaborating to break an old TR lock on Indar (which I disagree with on principle, but whatever), there has not been and is no current NC/VS alliance. Claims to the contrary are founded in confusion and jealousy.

You're right, though, the NC on Mattherson don't seem to have the kind of strategic cohesion that the VS (and to a lesser degree, TR) exhibit. I'm not sure if this is due to the previous GOON influence, or if there's just a lack of leadership and experience across all of the NC outfits. It's going to be hard to break *any* heavily contested continent lock unless the 2 attacking factions collaborate... either implicitly (strategic push and focus on the defender), or explicitly (a temporary alliance to do the same.)

Alternatively, you could possibly convince one of the larger, zergier outfits (*cough*TE*cough*) to have a few hundred of their members log in at 4am EST and roflstomp the Indar lock into oblivion.
  19. Phrygen

Are you planning on changing your Avatar from a TR heavy to something more appropriate?
  20. Giggily

I hope we never lose the cont lock because only having to go five feet out of the warpgate to farm is really convenient.
