Agreed, although I rather enjoy the variety and player created drama/metagame. Just listening to vanu shout "ATRA!" In local makes me smile... Trolling or not I prefer player driven content to keep things fresh.

Strategically the TR have to completely change mindset when you see the VS take crossroads. "Are they making a run for scarred Mesa? Do we push north or try to hold them at regent rock?"

Or more commonly... VS are warp gated at the north east by TR..."why the fk is the entire NC pop at tawrich? Sonofabi**.... Those morons!" Either way, the game has never been more fun for me since the alerts and all this mattherson drama

At the end of the day the VS lock has lasted far longer than the TR lock because they are the better faction and have better outfits.

There's a key difference between a normal Hacker that just trolls around for a little while before getting banned and the one whose sole purpose was to cause TR to lose the continent lock on Indar. This hacker killed roughly 800 TR at the only 3 bases we held in the course of 30 minutes while both NC/VS were working side by side is scenario unable to be beaten by number of outfits of any Mattherson faction . It's not hard to see that the VS have had no challenge remotely close to this, so claiming that their outfits are just straight up better is a false statement that I won't let stand unopposed.

VS will hold Indar permanently, that's just the way it is. Every day, usually multiple times per day, the TR push them back to their warpgate. When they get down to a handful of territory the major NC outfits pull out and move down to attack the TR, seeding the VS their territories.

WHO CARES

TR are winning almost every alert even when we're dead last in population. Every day when we push the VS back to their warpgate we farm them for thousands of kills.

If letting them have Indar and the useless 10% infantry resource price reduction is the price we pay to get forum newbs and 4th factioners to switch to VS, so be it. I love the kills.

I'm having more fun now than ever before. I'm averaging a 5:1 K/D these past 2 weeks where before I barely averaged 1:1.

Losing the TR lock to a hacker was frustrating, though.

Still, look at the bright side. We held against TWO factions in a tacit alliance for TWO days during the weekend. No one in PS2 has ever done that, and I doubt anyone ever will. We humiliated every single VS and NC player on Matterson for 48 hours, making them look like the most pathetic and incompetent players in the entire game, across all servers.

That's something to be proud of.

I do not play a ton, but, I have been involved with about 3 times where we got VR down to one final territory, and could not close the deal.

As a matherson TR, i can honestly say that NO one over here, really gives a **** about your cap anymore.

Indar being the meta-game ended a while ago and its only the ones who hold it that wont accept that.

it stopped being the metagame after the TR and NC repeatedly tried and failed to break it for a few days, and realized they couldn't measure up. now they don't try anymore since it's futile and they're not good enough, the VS is just too organized for them.

Fact is, they have kept it for a good run. It might be impossible to take Mattherson Indar off the VS without TR and NC working together. Also, it would be impossible if NC and TR work together, and VS is socked in at Scarred mesa.

And...well....we know THAT is not going to happen.

I play on that server as TR 100% of the time.
