Make VP's a spendable factionwide currency

    Instead of arbitrarily locking a continent upon X number of arbitrary points arbitrarily being reached, the VP's should be a spendable currency, which are used to gain /the best/ kit a faction can muster.. what you ask? i dunno maybe:

    It should work by the VP's being easier to get BUT being divided between each member of the faction that is online equally. so if you play solo, thats cool you still get some of the pie, you play in a squad, you can pool your resources together to get something bigger.

    Vehicle hacking uplinks for infils
    Cloaking devices for magriders
    Antigrav hover upgrades for VS vehicles
    Collosuss tanks
    Orbital strikes.
    Interlane strikes (the ability to attack any base on the map regardless of current lattice links)
    bombs for ESF, bombays for liberators.
    360 armour plating for vanguard
    8 Gun battle gals.
    MBT spawners for constructed bases.

    ETC... the list is endless..

    These things are not in the game and the rate at which new features get introduced, and even accepted by the playerbase, is glacial. It'd be more prudent to repurpose Hives based on some aspect of the game that already exists and can be leveraged on Live, if the VP-generation system is really that offensive.

    They should introduce a far more interesting metagame. VP's should be used in the capture of an enemy warpgate. The more VP's, the more players can simultaneously try to bring a VP to something inside the enemy warpgate to capture.

    Once you earn enough VP's, the enemy warpgates become attackable and the painfields disappear. Capture one enemy warpgate and you capture the continent. This will mean a much better conclusion to a continent lock, rather than the fight suddenly be over without any real knowledge when it happens. The game becomes a lot more strategic as well. Capturing territory means you have an easier time getting to the enemy warpgate (but you don't need a lattice-link to actually attack it!). So players have more encouragements to attack and take territory in a stragetic way, keeping in mind the fact that you want a good base of operations to assault an enemy warpgate.

    its a cool idea, though as someone said above, the devs are pretty slow at adding things atm :p

    i think it'd be far easier if hives gave bonus resources to all allies on that continent, letting you pull more vehicles and maxes, throw more grenades and c4, pop more health kits etc :)
    or if that feels like it could snowball too much they could simply make hives grant an XP bonus.

    regardless, i'm up for ANY idea that gets rid of VPs locking continents. ;)
