Anyone else think it would be nice if they added lets say 1000 more velocity to every gun in the game? At least for a week or something to test it out. I have played the game since the beginning and the guns in my opinion don't feel all that powerful. I think if the velocity was increased, it will create better cross-base combat and not limit weapons to just bases for the most part.
Ut99 although not all were. GoldenEye on the n64?. Doom 95? Although not all were lol Dust 514? I can't remember if tf2 was Erm, is cod hit scan?.
Although it would become much easier to lead closer targets, I think that it would make long range firefights more viable and maybe open up opportunities for larger bases. 1000 more may be too much, but I still think they should get a significant increase.
i have trouble whit the high velocity weapons, like for example the bigshot sniper rifle. the bullet travels so fast so that i can't see how much i need to lead for the next shot if i miss. its stats looks great on paper, but i got the lowest accuracy whit it of all my snipers.
i tried to explain that its the practice part i am having trouble whit. if i can't see where i shot its much harder to learn the gun.
DBG could try it on the Test Server... on Koltyr... one weekend.. the Need for Speed for weekend. All , I do mean ALL shells bullets rockets turrets etc. get a 50% increase in speed. If that doesn't completely ruin the fun, we try again, two weeks later.. at a 100% increase for all weapons. But I doubt that it will be fun. I can only imagine the TR GAttling at twice its current bullet velocity.. and if we increase all guns, then the AA Phalanx turret and Skyguards would finally rule the skies... unless a Dalton comes your way, and it impacts before you can hear it coming.. it might cut time to kill by drastic levels,.. although A2A combat could make for some interesting videos.. and tank battles could be over in seconds.. An NC Max with Fractures... at twice the speed ? It could make for one hilarious weekend.
That would be hand eye coordination. Pay more attention to the leading distance at different ranges and remember the hit markers and practice. That's about the only solution.
