Anyone else getting lower FPS than usual in big battles since the June 17th Colossus tank update?

Yes, I have the same problem. Almost unplayable in big battles.

Yes, always been wanting performance fixes but the game instead keeps getting bogged down with particles and other stuff that clearly don't function properly.

Due to the limitations of the PCi 3.0 standard its most likely your own dissknowledge on your personal computer settings that is causing the fps drops. The Windows 10 2020 may update with DirectX12 is not out to everyone yet, and if your bellow 18 and/or dont use the Geforce Quadro Experience with the adault version issued Nvidia driververs 451.22 you will mostlikely only get worse for you. The collosus is like adding 10 players to the fight so if you dont optimize your computer, windows and settings for current game content you will suffer. My 8 year old 4770K + GTx 1080 can run the game in 4K 60fps at no problem by haveing the right settings & setup with the newest drivers & utilities availible. you should at least aqquire the standalone drivers for your hardware the gamedevelloper uses to make the game. The Devs cant fix your computer for you, they can adjust the game to the hardware availible on the market. But you have to tell the system what hardware you want to run and at what settings. The dev team and playerbase is small so you will always lack 2-3 years behind because of the 7 year of hardware support the game now has to cater. Buttom line is, there is no problem devs can fix, there will only be You fixing your own problem, not know howto is a problem on its own, thank good we have Google & Youtube for that.

PCI 3.0 standard ? do you think a 2080 ti can saturate the PCI 3.0 standard ? it can't ... I don't know what your talking about here .

    ^assumption ...

It's out for anyone that wants it , but why does it have anything to do with it ? this game doesn't use DX12 and "Hardware GPU scheduling" doesn't make much of a diference in this game.

In fact I cannot find a diference in this game running with 2020 update or without. but it seems you like to just mumble random stuff and pretend it's viable , much like the PCI 3.0 .

    What ? Quadro Experience ?

The fact that your all "you must know your computer" and talk about Geforce Experience tells a lot ;) no actual power user uses that ... Quadro experience lol ... There are 3 drivers released right now with WDDM 2.7 support ( 2020 ) 451.22 are one of them.

You can use older drivers also , you just wont be abble to use Hardware GPU scheduling .

Servers are lagging ... I came back to the game today and was horrified how it runs with today's hardware ( I used to play this on a 2500k + GTX 560 )

What ? ... you'r assuming he doesn't have drivers , also the drivers gamedeveloper uses to make the game ? WHAT ? :D

    "it's your fault "

"excuses why it isn't your fault but they can't fix it"

"It's your fault again and you must fix it all "

    ----

Honestly someone that states so much ignorant statements like the PCI 3.0 one , the 2020 DX12 update having anything to do with it , the "geforce Quadro Experience ", "use the drivers th e game developer used to make the game" ... How can you be here trying to help ?

Also it really sounds like an half ***** excuse with random mumbo jumbo and some "it's your fault" sprinkled in the middle.

I used to run this as I stated in a 2500k + GTX 560 just fine back during beta and after they added all those PhysX effects ...

I returned to this game after so many years away , it runs like crap, it's laggy as hell in big battles ( latency ) and was quite astonished how badly it runs ( fps ) with todays "overpowered" hardware.

It's a real shame and I do hope this is adressed.

No, optimizing software is most definitely a thing.

Ideally, the user should have to put in as little effort as possible to optimize the game's settings for their system. The code should be as performant as possible, and support a variety of hardware setups. But that always has limitations, especially for a game that naturally has a lot of technical challenges.

So realistically, Daybreak and the players both need to do their parts. It's never 100% one party's fault.
