Losing Alert after Alert to Population imbalance is NOT FUN

    How bad is it on Miller?

    Here is the status on Mattherson.
    EVERY night the Vanu capture 100% territory on Indar, Esamir, and Amerish one by one. Also, EVERY Alert from 10pm to 3pm is Vanu Victorous BEFORE the alert time ends.

    Seriously what is the point of trying to remove a continent cap when the Vanu will stomp each continent THAT SAME night with sheer NUMBERS?

    sometimes TR will rock 45-50% pop.. tho NC can sometimes match to make it around 40-40-20 with VS on the low side on pop..

    BUT that is worldpop.. the NC on miller fight in indar almost all of them.. so Esamir and Amerish has a 60% TR pop at all times, with NC in poplead on indar, about 45% on indar

    On Miller this morning there was a Tech Plant alet for Amersih. When I joined it about 40 minutes in the TR population of Amerish was about 53%. By the end of the alert their pop was about 60%.

    Nothing you can do, they just steamroll over everything. They secured the 3rd dome after about 90 minutes.

    After the alert the TR pop was near 70% on Amerish and I noticed that I was getting 50% population bonus :eek: When I am playing on a faction with less than 20% pop I want at least 200% population bonus and these should stack with other boosts. 50% when you're outnumbered 4 - 1 is boooshiii!

    Perhaps a negative XP boost to punish the largest faction is in order.

    "Quick, let's punish people just because they happen to be playing on the "wrong" faction." Punishments for no reason will alienate players.

    Remember, there is no such thing as "over-population"... Only the other factions being under-populated. Each faction has a limit of players, so they can never be over-popped. Say for example a server has 600 NC, 200 VS and 200 TR players online. The NC are not "over-popped", they're simply filling their allocated number of players. The issue is that the TR and VS factions are under-populated, they are not able to use all their allocated player slots.

    No, I am talking about population bonus. Not all bonuses combined. I want 200% population bonus.

    The largest faction is getting the most XP from the Alerts, reducing that XP if it is clearly due to population imbalance is by definition fair.

    Oh, thought the bonus was the same outside of alerts. Not in game right now so can't check. 200% would certainly be an incentive for the 4th faction players to switch, but with that much I see the system getting games, in particular during off times where factions go ghost cap a continent each.

    Yep, although it wouldn't be that much of an issue if we did not have alerts every 15 minutes since GU10. It's basically a huge XP faucet to overpop factions now that often win them instantly in dominating victories.

    If negative XP boosts to the largest faction isn't the best answer or will not solve the problem then it is not a good solution.

    How can we have near 33% for each faction all the time?

    Largest faction gets a dominating victory.
    Other factions get 65% xp boost due to population bonus.
    1.65 x 0xp for losing alert = 0xp

    Nc Operations have been increasingly focusing on Esamir and Amerish.

    Though we did just capture Indar in the dead of night, so expect to be there for a bit.

    Generally speaking though. the guiding force that is the NCTO tries to keep things as varied as much as possible.
