I have been on vacation for 2 weeks, so i just tried out the valkyrie two days ago. We tried a combo of a 3-4 men crew, with 2 g2a lockon heavies sitting together on one side. When i found a viable target (mostly esfs), i turned my right side towards it and left all controls unchecked (to give my heavies the least disruption possible). But most of the times we encountered two bugs. Either the other ESF was kinda out of range (no lockon ox at all appearing), or the lockon angle was so tiny, that even the smallest valkyrie movement or target movement would throw of the lock. Plus it took ages 3-4 seconds to get a lock from the rumble seats. Now maybe this has already been discussed before, but i searched the Gameplay forum, i used the forum search, but couldn't find anything relating to it. In the past i could check the vehicle forum for some feedback on new vehicles (or vehicle features), but that is gone now too and only the gameplay forum spam is left. Could be please get a "sticky gameplay discussion forum feedback thread" whenever a huge new feature (vehicle, weapon, loadout) is introduced with a patch, which doesn't fit in the infantry classes forums? Thx for your time.
They just recently added a "vehicle" tag. I think that's the best you will get for now. I tried the Val for a while, I'm not sure how you are surviving long enough to attempt a lock- on Emerald, Val is just easy, free XP for the enemy.
You're lucky: When you do get locks, half the time your rocket tracks through the guy in the rumble seat next to you, killing him instead of your target. Such is my experience. -Guy with more friendly kills from the rumbleseat than enemy kills
I haven't had chance to this test extensively but I believe you need to adjust your lockon based on Valkyrie's flight path. Take a mental picture of ESF and Valk dogfight. Now imagine where would Valkyrie be in 200ms. Imagine where would you have to aim to acquire a lock from that "200ms in the future" position. For example if Valkyrie and ESF are both flying in the same direction then you need to aim at the ESF's tail in order to acquire a lock. Same applies when trying to shoot a tank with dumbfire. If Valkyrie is in full speed then you often need to aim behind the tank. Best bet for acquiring lock is to do a full stop. That way heavies will have to do least amount of aim correction.
I really hope they gonna fix this bug. I saved 8k certs for this vehicle and now i don't want to waste them on it..
i killed the guy next to me with the Flare gun tough most of the time the flare gun just hurts the Valkyrie, which totally ruins Fireworks
