I've been noticing this a lot recently, but it happened back in beta also. It's becoming increasingly more common to have people launch G2A missiles at aircraft and the aircraft have absolutely no warning whether or not it's coming. Often times the only warning I have is the hiss of the missile behind my cockpit, but that only happens if the target that fired it was within render range. Otherwise you take tons of damage from seemingly nowhere. One bugged missile will drop an ESF down something like 50% health, it's a huge hit to be glitching out and not giving its proper warning. Heaven forbid that it happens with two or three missiles, which is sometimes does. I think it's something to do more with the player that is firing the missile, not the one being fired upon, because when flying with large groups of people, we all start taking silent missiles from the same location.
If it did more than 30% health you just got hit with a dumb fire missile. Thats why there was no warning. Standard launcher does 1700, AA does 1250.
Err no, I'm quite sure it's been G2A lock on missiles, dumb fire missiles don't chase you. The lock on warnings are demonstrably bugged, they fail to trigger, they get stuck on, etc. It is more likely that my estimate of damage is off, since I didn't know any actual numbers. Also 30% is too low since 3 missiles will outright kill an ESF.
