So that disabling smoke also removes the grenade warning. I was about to rush a point with a whole load of allies and some special d!ckhead decided to smoke the entire room. Not only was that not necessary, it was detrimental to everyone else on both factions. That is, unless the player disabled smoke in the game files. Ya' dig?
or just remove smoke junk, its annoying for everyone on both sides of a fight except the guy who is using it. ( who will be running a NV scope)
Or alter how Smoke works. Currently all it does is use whatever particel effects it has to obscure anyone inside, which already changes if you lower your settings. But what if it did more? Imagine if enemies inside an LA-thrown grenade would light up and be visible through the smoke? Now you don't need an NV/heat vision with smoke combination to make use of smoke grenades and it helps your allies too. Better yet: Anyone who actively turns off smoke will now not be aware how much they light up if they step into smoke.
