Hi, all I am wondering how you all set-up your light assault, Do you use shotguns or carbines, Is C-4 worth it, do you run adrenaline pump or nano-weave? As of now I have AF-19 with x2 reflex sight, level 2 jump jet, and level 2 nano-weave. Thanks for feed back!
I use drifter jets, carbines, adrenaline pump, double c4. Yes, I'm one of the weird people who likes to use drifter jets. Lots of people don't like them because it restricts your ability to gain vertical advantage, but I like them because after gaining such an advantage (easy to do by running up stairs, going up a lift or hitting a jump-pad) they let you hover for quite a while. I use the extra time window to find a good point for dropping behind people and sneak-attacking them. Anyway, good luck finding something that suits you.
I used to have a lot of loadouts with different weapons and suit slots, but then I took an arrow to the knee got meself a Jaguar, and I thought to myself "with Jaguar, my Light Assault won't ever need another gun". Pity you rebels don't have anything comparable to Jag When I want to use a shotgun I switch to heavy for extra beef. Since nanoweave was buffed, I use it on all my classes. I used to run grenade bandoleer on "grenadier" loadout, combined with TRAC 5 S with underbarrel grenade launcher, but I realised that extra grenades < extra health.
I have like 20-30 medals with C4. I have like another 15 with the SF and I just grenade launch people off of towers and stuff. I plan on getting a shotty soon though because of how I die from them all the time.
T5 AMC for longer range (am in love with this gun, srsly), armistice/haymaker for short range, I've got one level left to max jump jets out, I've got nanoweave atm but I'm thinking about getting ASC instead, since it works so well on my heavy assault. I've got first level of C4 unlocked, not a huge fan of it, but it has its uses. Most of the time medkit or restoration kit is more useful, unless you specifically plan to hunt maxes/vehicles, or bomb crowds of enemies. Lots of fun, mobility and firing range of AMC carbine are a simply amazing combo.
Resto or medkit are not particularly useful unless you specifically plan to heal yourself with them. I know you meant that in open field healing kit is more useful and you suggest to switch to C4 when situation calls for it, just couldn't hold it
My main loudout is serpent + forward grip, extended mags or nanowave for suit slot, 2xC4, flash granade, underboss for secondary and jump jets. For shotguns I always use nano + smoke granade.
Get a shotgun and a carbine. Shotguns to jump behind enemy lines, and carbines to pick off people from a rooftop. I use the pump-action Bruiser and Razor carbine. The Razor is really good for shooting down on people with, but lacks somewhat in CQC, whereas well timed shots with the Bruiser will one-shot people in CQC. Really, any shotgun and carbine will do, just get one carbine and one shotgun that suits you for different battles. YES C4 IS WORTH IT. Trust me, LA becomes a much, much better class with C4. I use flak armor. It helps a bit when your C4 bomb attempt on a tank fails and you gotta get out of there before he kills you. But nanoweave certainly is a viable option, though adrenaline pump in worthless for the most part. Also try getting your jump jets to lvl 4. The extra fuel and recharge time is very useful.
Load out 1 Trac-5s w/ nade launcher, compensater, and 2x scope. Drifers/JJ Ammo belt C4 Load out 2 LC2 Lynx w/ Adv. laser, silencer, soft point ammo, and 1x scope. Dirfers/JJ Ammo belt C4 Load out 3 Nighthawk/Uppercut w/ extended mags and 1x scope. Drifers/JJ Ammo belt C4 I swap between Drifers and JJ as I need too. I use ammo belt since I seem to run out of ammo alot and c4 to blow up tanks/drop on groups of infanty.
Use both. I personally use the Trac-5 and the Barrage (quick reload + accurate semi auto shotty) the most but I also use the Jaguar suppressed and the Lynx with a flash suppressor. C4 is very much worth it. Lets you flank a group of enemies on a chokepoint and kill the lot of em. Adrenaline pump sucks, don't use it until they buff it/put it in its own passive slot. Nanoweave all the way but with the AI mines buffed you might want flak.
This is an experimental setup that I have been rolling for a couple of days. Using one of the least used guns in the Vanu arsenal. Solstice Burst [Iron Sight] [Flash Suppressor] [Flashlight] Beamer VS3 [Flashlight] Jump Jets [Level 5] Ammunition Belt [Level 3] Fragmentation Grenade Medical Kit [Level 2]
My most played set up currently: Jaguar + Lazor + silencer Repeater + Lazor Drifter rank 3 (Very useful even at this rank) Advanced Shield Capacitor rank 5 (I really like this think, so I'm trying it out post-buff) Frag grenade (thinking about swapping for flashes) C4 x2 The Jag is a great CQC weapon that has fairly controllable recoil while bursting out a little ways. Drifters are surprisingly very useful even at lower ranks. People really just need to give them a shot. I just like ASC and want to try it out post-buff. I think it can be good for hit and run tactics. I am thinking about swapping out the frag for a flash because I hate the physics associated with grenades.
2x C4 Adrenaline pump Jump jets Blitz, advanced laser sight OR Mercenary with 1x reflex and foregrip Also own the Sweeper but I can't stand shotguns so it's rarely used. Also auraxium'ed GD-7F with LA, but moved on to Blitz.
My playstyle is mostly run and gun, Cyclone with 1x reflex, sliencer , extended mags , and soft point ammo Magshot with sliencer and laser (Thinking of moving on to the desperado) 2x C4 Level 5 extra ammo Max Jumpjets Run and gun, flank, and remember to restock on ammo. And don't listen to people about cyclone is only for infils, it's really down to how you play, I find the cyclone enough to down people at mid range too. Just remember not to re-peak that same corner.
