[Suggestion] Liberators need a Nerf

    None of this , whit simply need WORKING AA , not the joke we have now , not the deterrent fro air ( which may work for esf , but doesn't for libs ) , cause unloading 2 clips from an a30w into a lib to only set it a little down to half it's armour , it's a ******* joke .
    Not even starting to argue how the a30w should be the heaviest AA ( pahlanx not included ) and indeed is the worst one , which whould be time wasted .

    Rocketpods need their damage divided by 4, daltons/zephers need their damage divided by 2.

    i would just love it if they gave me the ps1 lib back, its an easy fix. Just dont allow the main bomber gun to move, give the lib radar and the pilot a bomb cam. Right now, its just boring circling the target area, i like to line my shot up with ground targets. And SOE says, the bomber would then be bored because all they do it click the mouse. Well in ps1 me and my outfit had alot more fun flying and BOMBING. Fix it, its boring

    As someone who gets killed by Libs relatively often: NO! You need one ESF to kill an unguarded Libby, two if he has a friend covering him. It's a combined arms scenario, get help or spawn somewhere else.

    A lone Liberator will get torn apart by AA and ESFs. The problem is with air zergs. The only hard counter to an air zerg is with an air zerg. The problem is that it is logistically impossible to get 20+ air units over to defend a base. A mission system would fix this.

    The issue isn't balance. The issue is logistics. The mission system is supposed to fix this problem.

    Oh P*** off, ANYTHING can spawncamp in this game, infantry included.

    It's not the liberator being OP, it's the unintelligence of the people spawning on the spawnroom and running out.

    I mean tanks, zergs of infantry, or anything can camp a spawn room.

    It's just the bad spawn room mechanics and ****ing dumb players that make it so easy to farm a spawn area.

    Don't be dumb and spawn somewhere else and get some anti air with your squad and take down the air.

    Use bloody teamwork and stop being a WHINEGEBAG!

    My only problem with Libs is the absurd amount of resistance they have against AA. Earlier today me and two other full bursters were on one of the out points of an amp station taking it over, and combined we couldn't take down this lib who kept doing flybys. And I'm talking 5 full seconds of all of us blasting it before it went out of sight behind mountains to repair. We got close a few times but it never went down. A single full burster max is a joke against a lib, they don't even have to stop bombardment for a good while.

    As for them spawn camping, I've never been in a situation where a single lib could lock a spawn against a squad or more. If there's 12+ people being kept in a spawn then there's more than likely much more than just a lib keeping you in there and the base is probably lost anyway. Just spawn somewhere else.

    we have some libs on matherson (nc pilots) that fly sideways low enough for thier gunner to shoot into all buildings since Auraxian science has been unable to come up with doors, or a way of blocking windows...

    Really once we see that sorta thing we /suicide out and move on sometimes since thier speed sideways was enough to break locks before they complete and the AA MAX suits were wasted on first pass and the dmg done wasnt enough to chase it away since no more dmg came.

    Its the base design thats really making it painfull, especially all those trailer park outposts with outdoor cap points... We already know the software doesnt support underground, does it not support doors either? And wtf is with outdoor cap points? One lib can clear the place easy, and if you run alotta AA units often now you get render bombed (sit at max altitude, render on vehs is 800m and use minimap to fire they cant see you or the rounds hitting)

    edit in: my point is infantry needs someplace to fight besides biolabs, heck look at how many people will ignore everything but biolabs or the crown? majority of players seem to prefer ground combat so they just go where they have cover from it, how bloody hard would it be to gibe all bases something under cover to fight at, without a deathtrap spawn room?

    Think the problem with the Lib atm isn't the Lib itself .. But the fact G2A missiles seem to mostly hit for zero dmg on them .. Hit a Lib 3 times today , one shot after another and it took no damage ..
    So fixing the crappy hit detection and damage bug will go a long way to fixing things ...

    I do agree base design is a big problem, as right now most places are open to air raids. Even if you want to mount a bio labs defense now, you have air hovering and spamming rocket pods so people can no longer defend bio labs the way they used to during the first 2 weeks of launch. I miss the fights during the first 2 weeks of launch, where attackers were on the platforms, defenders were attempting to lock them out. One of the best meatgrinder exp and pure carnage.

    You don't see that anymore. And you don't see anything close to it since they changed the tech plant design. Tech plant is now open to air raids as well, just like everything else.

    Base design needs to be fixed, that's somewhat old news but still a very pressing problem. However, Maxes and especially Maxes with Flak Armor upgrades should be able to eat explosives as if it were a part of a healthy diet. Unless you want to give a damage increase that pushes things a little too far in the wrong direction the majority of Max weapons require they be able to take a beating in order to effectively counter vehicles. Both the Anti Air weapons and Anti Vehicle weapons on a max require you take damage over time for you to get enough hits on a vehicle or aicraft to destroy or significantly damage them. It is still just an infantry unit and not nearly as mobile as many vehicles, and a much bigger target than most infantry for that matter.

    But at the end of the day it really is base design that needs a little more work. There are situations where people are being morons and deserve to get blown to pieces, but these bases need more Air cover. If anything the major bases, especially Tech Plants and Amp Stations, need dome shields similar to Anti-Tank shields that deny Aircraft attacks until the shield goes down.

    Nerf the lib, it's too strong. AA maxes cannot hit it at max altitude. and I've seen 5 AA maxes shooting at it and unless they all hit it at the same time with every round it takes a long time to die. Nerf the armor, not the gun.

    Air in general needs a nerf.

    This is just getting out of hand.

    And people argue just counter them with more air, or get double bursters on a MAX

    That's cool and all when they fly out of range for a little bit to regen, and come right back.

    Now they just shell the base until the tanks get there and clean up.

    A liberator with a Dalton and Tank Buster is just rediculous. You fly around as a tank pretty much invulnerable to everything, and can hunt ESFs, not be countered by them. The tank buster effectively OHKs ESFs, which is fun but ******** from a game balance perspective, and anyone who claims it's hard to flip your gunner to give them easy shots with the Dalton (or shoot ESFs with the Dalton if you're gunning) is either lying or a poor player. The Liberator is the King of everything with no weaknesses, the only way to bring down a good lib team is 3 ESFs who know what they are doing. Even crazier is you can run at a Tank head on, eat an AP round and still take them down with the tank buster and have over half health - really that's balanced?

    Personally I'm playing the hell out of the Lib for now, got no problem using and abusing overpowered BS, that's on the Devs. But you asshats claiming the Lib is fine either suck with it, or don't understand good game balance.

    Phungus, I totally agree. this game is just not ready to be played by anyone. Beta ended a year too early.

    This game needs to go back and be re-worked, BIG-TIME

    Infantry feels pretty much useless, it's just tanks and air vehicles, I have yet to be in a major ground war, that didn't invovle hiding behind a huge tank column, LIBs shooting out of AA range and getting kills with HE cannons.

    What a joke.
