Liberator Stupidity Field needs to be Removed!

The Stupidity Field on the Liberator is simply overpowered and unfair. No unit should have the power to make people spawn right underneath its guns over and over and get farmed for XP.

At least change the Stupidity Field so that it affects everybody, it wouldn't be so unfair if some people were not immune to it. Why do they get to spawn somewhere else, pull some Bursters or a fighter and kill the Liberator while others are helpless against the Stupidity Field?

I honestly think the Stupidity Field needs to be removed from the game. If everyone was free to spawn in places that aren't being bombed into oblivion Liberators wouldn't be so overpowered.

because its that hard to move to cover,Omg how hard is it to avoid air really, mostly people play as though air doesn't exist and then when they get killed by air they flame.
You always have access to air cover where the points are and burster maxes and other AA is very effective, if you learn to use it

Wait when did the lib get the ability to force you to spawn under it, or are you just one of those idiots who thinks he can somehow manage to rally from that tiny camped spawn room to take back the base instead of spawning at a different spot, grabbing some anti air /esf, and then proceding to turn that lib into a pile of rubble?

    Wow...

The way you managed to completely miss the whole purpose of the post... I'm just amazed.

I'm actually giving you a 'like' for just that.

As soon as the remove the stupidity field about how AA is overpowered against air and air can't avoid getting shot down by Ground units...
  7. Rothnang

If you don't think AA is overpowered when fielded in large numbers you've never faced or never been in a good Burster squad.
  8. Xaturas

Lib cannot shoot at things exactly below it.
    Learn your enemy, QQ less.
When it comes to it, lib main gun and tail gun movement range is ******** at best.

Solo AA is OP against Airtards, that's it. Massed "whatever" will always be OP because you are massing specific resources/abilites to roll over an enemy that either can't or doesn't know how to counter.

We try to Maghorde a point, TR/NC rolls out air to counter. We roll out Skyguards and AA Maxes to counter the air, they roll out armor to counter our AA. We roll out Air to counter their armor, they roll out AA. It's a vicious circle that continues on until oneside ***** out and doesn't adapt, or another side just gives up and deploys somewhere else to farm free xp and certs at base that is capping soon.

Just like you never been in a good air squad either. Or ground pounded enough to deal with said AA for your air.
  11. Rothnang

You're just mad because you're not immune to the Stupidity Field. It's ok bro, I'm fighting for you.

Says the guy who complains about the single AA burster max owning his liberator.

Look, the game is supposedly about fighting for objectives. If I just stop spawning under anywhere where there's a lib, then it effectively just takes one lib to control any base. Is that what the game is supposed to be - fight over a base until air turns up, then give up and move back to the next base, until air turns up, then rinse and repeat all the way back to your warpgate? That's just stupid.

Try to fight back against the libs, not only is it massively ineffective, but it just paints you as the biggest target and makes you die quicker.

I think the field extends all the way up into the cockpit .. Ijs

Or spawn an ESF and take it out in 10 seconds. If your base has no AA then take the AA role, otherwise get farmed by air.

Seems like people playing completely ignore air, if there's a liberator bombing your base then it managed to fly over a base with 30+ all with LOS to it due to it being IN THE AIR and managed to evade all your ESFs, any of which could kill it instantly without a fight at all. If I die to a lib in a base with a fair fight going on then I'll spawn at an outpost, get my ESF and destroy it. Takes almost no time at all and most times it would have already been destroyed. And even then, this isn't a common occurrence, their arrival is always marked with a big liberator icon on your minimap, plenty of time to find cover, and they're going to be shooting at plenty of targets, if you're being repeatedly killed by the same lib then you're repeatedly presenting yourself as the ONLY target. It's similar to running into the middle of a road directly in front of a sunderer.

I don't want to spawn air though, cause they fly like ****, have terrible low FOV, and I want to play an FPS not a poor flight sim. Getting on the AA turrets is just an invitation for instant death, as is switching to the AA launcher. They do so little damage. The HAWK should be renamed the Tickler.

::shoots lib with single burster max - lib flies away::
  18. Keiichi25

Or... Spams your position with a dalton, forcing you to either take cover or die. And then can't spawn another MAX for 10m - however many certs you invested to decrease the respawn time.
  19. TheFatKid

::shoots lib from cover, lib doesn't know where attack is coming from, lib flies away::
  20. Keiichi25

Done that. Didn't work out like that. And yes, I didn't die from it either, but it doesn't make them go away either as much as you like to believe.
