    Aye blowing sht out of proportion, or downplaying the positive effects of high rof, quick reload times and an mbt that doesn't have to operate a chassis separate from the turret, and can climb hills......and turbo briefly.

    None of that is relevant in ps2 and has no impact whatsoever, especially when you put a saron on top of it.

    I got a very scary thought.....what if this is all psychological? the more we claim in-balances and over preforming stuff for vanu we send them some one who isn't really great at the game. While being on the vanu team though they think these weapons and traits will make them stronger and better.

    What if we started a NC or TR is OP or needs balance will we see the same results?
  3. AxiomInsanity87

    Seriously though, i think TR really needs some cof tweaks, a fracture and striker buff but not too much, a few horz recoil buffs here and there......

    And a chaingun that has 8 chainguns as barrels and they all fire minichainguns that fire mid flight and then explode on impact.

    The best thing they could change would be to make a different weapon the VS HA default and make the Orion 1000 certs/699 DBC.

    I don't see how that will change much since everyone will simply still use the Orion once they ask anyone what's the best LMG for VS.

    The statistic showing VS HA outperforming everyone is most likely attributed to simply having their CQC/best LMG by default so that means more people use it.

    Although I don't believe this will change much in terms of alerts as they are usually a measure of faction participation rather than weapon balance.

    SS is a controlled, clean experiment. That's how you test a hypothesis. How bout you tell us about how you left your outfit after getting the leadership directive?
  7. Scr1nRusher

    Me leaving the outfit had nothing to do with directives.

    Live PS2 isn't a clean,controlled situation. Its chaotic and wild.
  8. Thardus

    How is that a positive thing. The Magrider's lack of turret, and supremely low mounted gun are both definite downsides.
  9. Hatesphere

    Lets not assume alerts are matches. matches imply some sort of controlled agreement to meet and fight, not at all like an alert which is dropped randomly onto the community regardless of server state.
  10. Taemien

    Hmm server smashes and organized events lacking derps, cert farmers, and other solo play seems to be the elephant in the room no one wants to talk about.

    Sometimes I think Forumside isn't as dumb as it makes itself out to be. You all claim that dasanfal and other stat sites are pure, and free of corrupted data from unorganized cert farming and directives. But you all are not so naive to think that's true.

    Now if I can just figure out why. I think it has alot to do with keeping the status quo, but that is just an hypothesis of mine.

    VS = 40.2%
    TR = 31.3%
    NC = 25.3%

    VS is actually dropping a bit now, for a long while they were on 44% wins.

    More specifically false speculation given all the relative performance data (with the possible exception of LAs anyway).
  13. Obscura

    Speculation is speculation, its neither true or false. It's a theory formed without firm evidence, kinda like the "VS is OP" trend of threads lately. I've yet to see one person post gameplay videos of themselves on all factions using equivalent equipment and facerolling on VS while struggling to perform the same with other factions.
  14. Goretzu

    It is catagorically completely false:

    301001 - VS NS-15M | Q4 KPH | Daily Average: 39.06
    301002 - NC NS-15M | Q4 KPH | Daily Average: 39.59
    301003 - TR NS-15M | Q4 KPH | Daily Average: 40.77

    There is no evidence at all to suggest that any players fit anything but the same random distribution curve by faction, and a fair bit of evidence suggesting they do fit that.

  15. Obscura

    Which is why it's called speculation lmao. Here i'll show you how it works: based on the AF-19 Mercenary having 5000+ more TK's than it's faction equivalents, one could SPECULATE that NC players suck because they TK each other more often.

    The various stats pages I've been looking through (PS2 Oracle, most frequently) lead me to believe that we can infer a few things about gameplay habits. The VS's stats are exceedingly low In a number of places, barring broken and unusable items not being used (which pushes that demograph into using the remaining items, thereby driving up stats for a given few things) ... I find this rather odd, given the number of alert wins the VS racks up. The VS are scoring significantly less kills in many areas, and yet performing generally better, when looking at alert stats.

    The first thing I think of here is that the VS generally play for the objectives more, and are caught up in fewer farms (which contribute heavily to the corrupted data you reference) A half dozen, or even 2 or 3 skilled platoon leaders and non-derp players can turn around an entire alert with ease. I see this quite frequently on Emerald - Whatever faction Goku plays on tends to stand a much greater chance of winning, as they tend to drop hammers on the various deadlocked farms occurring across continents. Since they started doing this a number of weeks ago, I have seen a number of NC kill stats go down, and the NC alert win stats go up slightly.

    This could all be coincidence, and of course, this is only a pet theory, but at least to me - this seems logical.
  17. Goretzu

    It's not "speculation" when there is clear evidence what you are saying is incorrect, it is just plain being incorrect!

    You could have speculated the moon was made of cheese before someone went there and indeed brought some of it back, but speculating it is made of cheese now is just incorrect.

    In this case you could speculate, but now you've seen the evidence you cannot, all you can do is provide evidence to the contrary of which I've never seen any.

    So again all the evidence suggests VS, TR & NC player all fit the same distrubution curve skill-wise or to be even more simplistic VS/TR/NC it doesn't matter they are all exactly the same player skill-wise, the VS isn't filled with Uber players and the NC isn't filled with sucky players.
  18. Casterbridge

    As I've never really watched or bothered participating in them just a question about server smashes and farmers league, are there any rules spoken or unspoken about any weapons, directive or otherwise, vehicles, air, maxes etc that can't be used?

    Or is everything fair game? My assumption is everything is fair game.
  19. Zombo

    Let's actually not assume that, Alerts have a lot more to do with organisation and population than with anything else,
    and knowing the OP Scr1nRusher, this is only another attempt to show that "Vanu is OP because i want them to be OP so i can live with being a bad"

    look at Briggs alerts, TR is dominating /thread
  20. IronMouse

    On Cobalt VS wins most alerts. I'm not looking at percentages, but I draw conclusions from my own personal experience. "VS wins" is the default.
