Suffice it to say I won't be playing the game when my server has nearly 400 latency. However, I have to note that with 400 ping, lagged cloak is excruciating to use, infantry vs infantry render distance is at an all time low, after 2 years patches are still being pushed out with "speculative" fixes for medkits during heavy server load, and all the while HA shields are about as lag free as it gets, at least when tested from the spawn room of the lagged base. Aside from the fact they were supposed to get a ramp up time nearly a year ago. It might all be conjecture including lag free HA shields during 400 latency, but sometimes I feel like some of the decisions and priorities with this game are all an elaborate joke. I guess I'm asking for some serious people at SOE to take a serious look at 400 ping weekends and decide if that's going to be the status quo. I'd suggest some QoL improvements for infils too but seeing as how crunched the dev team is I don't think there would be any cloak adjustments faster than whatever HA shield adjustments they were thinking about making. This can rot here: -Trying to cloak while firing an SMG will cycle the cloak and leave you uncloaked. However, trying to fire after you've started to cloak will still cloak you. I'd suggest more consistency in the mechanics. -The delay to fire when decloaking is noticeabley longer after longer play sessions. -Cloak animations must play in their entirety meaning there doesn't seem to be a practical way to cancel a cloak toggle. We need:
Yeah I don't play infil when I have high ping. The delay is too aggravating. Edit: And by that I mean I don't play infil pretty much every night between 7pm-11pm my time since the December game update.
Ha shield is a bit weird to me in laggy situations. It also lags, no offense. I jump of something, and then I often use the overshield to absorb the fall damage. -> Jump, shield, land, shield off. Now, I glow falling and landing, but the fall damage goes against my actual shields and health.. so.. glowing doesn't always mean "overshield active" it seems.
