On live right now On PTS Whats your opinion on this change? I quite like it, note how the aim accuracy/hip fire accuracy is now completely different.
Hard to say. Faster ROF with slight damage bonus for direct hits. Hip fire accuracy seems to be better but ADS is worse. Overall seems like it might be slightly better though.
The Lasher definitely needed some tweaks, and the improved accuracy and RoF are nice but they're not going to change it into an effective direct hit weapon. The mechanic is still supposed to rely on splash damage and reducing that part makes no sense. Keep the other new stats but return the splash to what it was.
Move the splash damage back up and it should be in line with the other chainguns. As it stands, this seems more like a nerf to the gun because the overall damage potential has fallen considerably. This gun wasn't even made to do anything but splash and that's now out the window. Yeah, our OP toys need more nerfs to balance out the fact they're in last place. Breaking news: The Beamer is found to be too OP and therefore the damage output is cut by 75% and renamed to the Tickler to be more pedo friendly. **Note: If they are doing this switch from hipfire to ADS, they need to give it at least a 1x/2x reflex because the iron sights blow.
so they're making lasher into ....... non-lasher ? what were the devs thinking. if you're going to unify everything into a simple direct hit mechanics, why should i choose lasher over every other LMG in the game ? if i want a direct hit gun, would i choose lasher for its 333 rpm , with weak *** muzzle velocity , or my sva88 with six times the muzzle velocity, and double the rpm of lasher ? i dont understand at all devs , i dont understand.
I feel like the hip fire was extremely nice with the splash damage. Having them both nerfed is very upsetting. Being able to fire accurately around a corner (as not to hit the wall and hurt yourself but still have the splash damage hit accurately) and using splash damage to kill the enemy was the only reason to use the Lasher. Now both are being nerfed. I'd rather there just be a second Lasher instead for this type of change. I was just starting to like my Lasher :c

So if its ony going to be accurate in ADS then have its awful ironsights been replaced? And either way, if its going to get those changes its going to be inferior in every respect to the Ursa. And the Ursa is not that great a weapon to begin with.
Really? Nerf a weapon that's quite possibly the most situational and awkward to use? In the outfit three of us, a whole three out of three hundred dust off our lashers when the call is made for them, and it's typically in an effort to pin down an area and to convince people to f off from the doors. Also, the stats that are being looked into, have you looked at the sheer amount of weapons lock and friendly fire they cause?
Well I have never really played HA so haven't used the Lasher. Wasn't intending to really, always seemed really weak for a heavy weapon, only useful for suppression for a HA running as part of an organised squad. This change seems to be just turning it into more of a standard weapon. I would prefer it to suck but have a distinct identity so I don't like these changes
now officially the most useless of the 3 "chain guns" Thank Vanu i earned auraxium medal before this. I find this nerf to be frakking hilarious. Only recently they prevented Flak Armor and resist shield from stacking, making the lasher less terrible than it already was. NOW they give us an undeserved/unwarranted nerf to our splash damage. One that even our harshest critics havn't asked for. eff yoooou SOE.
