Jaeger is a nice name, and I'd like to keep it.

I'm willing to settle for jaegerson though.

    Keep jaeger

    I vote Waterson. (biased)

I think a fair compromise would be to allow players coming from folded in servers to have that server name as a title, similar to things like Exterminator or Veteran. Put Jaeger instead.

I had the same view as you, Jaeger is by far a better name IMO. But look at the player base; jaeger is being merged INTO waterson, as they hold something like a 8-10k server pop advantage on top of Jaeger's 40k (last time I checked). To be fair, the server with the larger population should be the one to retain the name.

That being said, I do think SOE should have come up with entirely new server names as to not make servers whose name will be destroyed feel alienated.

    You seen the stats?

Jaeger is frequently at Medium when waterson is on low.

It does not matter. Waterson has more registered users, a substantial amount more. Thus technically, they are the larger of the 2 servers.

Currently, Jaeger is sitting at exactly 43,119 registered players. On the other side of the lake, Waterson sits at 50,183.

    50,183 > 43,119

Is this not only because of TotalBiscuit though? We don't have a fan-boy pop on Jaeger at all.

Also, Waterson has more "registered" users... but Jaeger has more "Active" users.

Only time Waterson passes us is when TB gets on (very rare now) and tweets to his followers to hop on....

which may be part of it... they've cooperated with TB a lil bit, and even if he really doesn't play much changing "his servers" name might be too confusing for his avg follower

I posted but I don't think you will like my response. A server name is merely a symbol and like George Carlin said.. "I leave symbols to the symbol-minded"
