Think what you will, but if your going to say that this is due to VS abusing OP weapons or something like that, then VS should've won more alerts then, huh? There score would be less also, as OP weapons = more players= less score due to overpop.

When VS win, they win decisively.

I think that would be an abuse of farm, wouldn't it? Isn't highest score just XP earned? I blame PPA (which is pretty much the biggest reason people think VS are OP).

I think it means VS win most decisively in alerts where they have high pop, which is only at certain times of the day. Tr and Nc.. it's really hit or miss, as I know people who log on when VS dominate and when they don't.

It's not about OP this or tactics that: it's numbers, and often times, VS can afford to dump two platoons on two adjacent hexes more rapidly than any other faction.

Somehow I knew the insant I saw the title and the VS symbol, this thread was going to attempt to use irrelevant statistics to try and argue for/against balance.

I personally don't have a problem with VS. Tweaks could be done, but nothing is crazy OP. Forumside is getting too predictable though.

I couldn't disagree more. I get way more score/hour using FPC/Saron than VPC/PPA. Sure the KDR is higher on the VPC/PPA setup but a lot of those kills end up being spawn kills.

Yep, it is. I mean, nobody earns 5555 xp during an alert exactly. An average would be nowhere as neat.

look at the graph from a years perspective. NC had there time > nerfs happened, TR had their time > nurfs happened, It's VS's time now... what does that tell you?

OP weapons = no need for higher numbers in an area = higher score.

Not necessarily. Coordination can overcome good weaponry, and OP weaponry will attract more players, leading to more pop overall.
Anyways, this is about the total pop on the continent, not in a particular fight.

It is rather interesting however, that alerts seem pretty even until the last month are so, where VS has started to dominate. I can't really remember anything nerfs to TR and NC during that period. Maybe Tank v. Infantry was nerfed overall, but Magrider is the best for avoiding those types of situations?

It's pretty simple (from the website):

"True Faction Scoring is an indication of how well an empire does in alerts with their populations. The scoring is designed so that empires with vast amounts of population % in an alert get lower scores than those with less population."

XP Gained from Victory / Average Population % * Population Multiplier = Score

And VS did won most of the alerts in the last month:

At least on Emerald, the NC just don't play to the alerts all that much. I think I was hopping around on pubbie squads during an alert. First to PHX and then to HYUN. Neither of them were participating with their platoon+ people. Only the third random platoon I jumped on was actually on the right continent for the alert. And I don't even remember the name of that platoon because it wasn't an outfit one.

So if only 1/3 of the NC actually are actually into playing alerts, that's probably what we're seeing here. On Emerald at least, I dunno about the TR here or other servers.

You guys do have some good guys true... But generally its just a zerg fest from jenk, but then again don't we all.

Jenk magically gets much worse when they get out of their vehicles and MAXes. Its hilarious to see all the magriders and ESFs climb over each other though.

I just sit at a distance blow everything up all their sunderers with my prowler. Then let the pubbie infantry do the rest of the work. Sundy hunting is very profitable
