JUST IN: PPA nerfed!

    Pounders actually have the reverse problem of most TR weapons have before being changed, their single shot fire makes them the best the TR MAX has AI wise for long range compared to the much less accurate cycler variants, it's also pretty crazy anti-MAX but I'm ok with that since MAXs in my mind are basically humanoid mini-tanks.

    TR usually have the problem of their AV / AI weapons being inherently good against stuff they really weren't supposed to be specialised at. The original Vulcan for example was just inherently good anti-infantry because it's a minigun and no matter how little damage you do to infantry the high rate of fire is going to give it some anti-infantry capability. This is also why Skyguards do reasonably well against infantry and tanks, because their ROF means they can score a reasonable amount of hits against a target even a small one at some range. It's by no means the best, but it's not exactly an immediate case of flying the white flag either.

    Pounders meanwhile have the issue that Comets and other MAX AV have in that they get to a sweet spot at range where a good shot or two from it is actually more effective than the AI variants, even the Blueshift after a point. Comets do suffer from being much much slower in the air, but if firing at sunderers you're occasionally going to hit some unfortunate engineers in the back of the head from time to time. AV Mana Turrets also have this trait, especially given their guided trait. I'm not sure the solution is to nerf damage to infantry from AV sources though, because it's still a bloody explosive and if it comes to it flak armor is already a thing. I'm also not entirely convinced of the idea of fitting sniper rifles on MAXs to give them long range capability given how versatile they already are :p

    Pounders aren't really powerful and they aren't the best or all-rounder like you claim. It might have a higher numbers gimped by infantry kills but at what it is intended for, AV, it sucks. Conversely, the Falcon and Comet are great at AV damage AND they can still be viable as AI whereas the Pounder is used more as AI eventhough its for AV. I'm sure if the metric shows what types of kills it did, the pounder would be the worst, almost used exclusively as AI weapon.

    And lets be clear, the MBT default cannons are all good at killing infantry.

    We're missing October data, but up to end of September the Prowler had almost double the amount of kills compared to both the Magrider and Vanguard, who had about equal number of kills.

    Don't see how you came into that conclusion. Lets see some numbers:

    16013 - NCM2 Falcon-Left | Vehicle KPH | Daily Average: 3.53
    17013 - Comet VM2-Left | Vehicle KPH | Daily Average: 3.34
    16028 - NCM3 Raven-Left | Vehicle KPH | Daily Average: 4.11

    As you can see, Comet is worse than either the NC weapons in the AV role (though the difference with the Falcons is minimal).

    16013 - NCM2 Falcon-Left | Vehicle KPH | Daily Average: 3.53
    16032 - Vortex VM21-Left | Vehicle KPH | Daily Average: 3.15
    16028 - NCM3 Raven-Left | Vehicle KPH | Daily Average: 4.11

    Again, the VS long range AV option is worse than anything the NC has.

    15013 - M3 Pounder HEG-Left | Vehicle KPH | Daily Average: 2.53

    As you can see the long range options of VS and TR are equally bad. The short range VS option is marginally better than the best TR AV option, but ...

    Pounders compensate by being insanely effective against infantry and MAXes.

    So, anyway you want to see it, the AV options of the VS MAX are tied to the last or second to last place. The AI options of all MAXes are balanced as they can be at this point. Or to sum it up:
    • NC MAX AV weapons are leaps and bounds better than the VS ones against vehicles and about equal against infantry.
    • TR MAX AV weapons are equal against vehicles and leaps and bounds superior against infantry than the VS ones.
    Or in other words, I'd trade Comets for Pounders and Vortexes for Ravens ;)

    Ok, little non biologist... (not being serious here).

    A super slight nerf, that, as I said was not significant at all, the difference being about 2 points of damage, in exchange for the ability to kill as the same rate as other factions at more than 70m, and that's a noticeable buff, specially for long range weapons, 70m is not that far away, I can hit targets at that range with most weapons, and I guess most people can.

    I consider it a buff when the pros are superior to the cons.

    There was only a few instances at which that damage profile was better, at a range between 65 and 70m, and with the old lvl 1 nanoweave at certain ranges.


    By FSM you mean first shot recoil multiplier? you get more FSM because you get less recoil per shot, which overall makes VS weapons have less vertical recoil than other weapons but more horizontal recoil, with some exceptions (i.e: Orion which gets more vertical).

    But even with that high FSM recoil is easy to manage at that range because of overall lower recoil.

    I wouldn't mind if you want VS to get their damage falloff at range.

    Make canister like PPA with huge cof. its a shotgun without cof increase. nerf it like PPA.
    Nerf Blueshift too its too OP.

    But give me Jackhammer and Minigun version of VS weapons because you are normalizing stuff right.
    And give us 200 dmg weapon variants.

    And give us tank shields for magriders too.

    ZOE, PPA (new), Spiker, Phaseshift, Lasher and all those crap weapons what you invented for the VS you can give them to other factions easily.

    The 3 ESAI guns have extra damage against light vehicles, which they got as a response to having the AV damage taken away.
    So no, I don't consider it insane. Far from it.

    Repeater is close range situational it's not bad but usually I take some distance and just zigzag around a bit because I know they'll run out of ammo in 2-3 secs and then I shoot back. The desperado is really nice though but I dislike the small mag, again the spiker will probably get fixed to a good level. I ain't talking about black camo but camo coverage as a whole, VS get a few thin lines of teal there and there which isn't even noticable in-game while the other factions got their colors all over. All regular infantry weapons has no bullet drop except sniper rifles because that would be terrible balance but the phasshift actually has none aswell even silenced.

    Blueshifts are the best max AI, lockdown is strong but situational and highly vulnerable to a few coordinated rockets, 80% of the time you're better off using max charge with any faction though anyway due to c4. Both mines have glowing lights lol but the NC one is way more noticeable because of the shape while the VS mine is more sleek and can actually look like some floor doodad more easily. You can tell the VS art asset bias when both NC and VS infiltrators got their colors "fix" they gave **** light blue leggings to the NC ******* up the look and camo coverage and they gave that well arranged black purple to vanu. The magrider can blow up prowlers and vanguards in a few secs with a good gunner its strength is unpredictability and make good use of mobility and cover. Now how is the scythe more susceptible to AA compared to the other two? thats no point. Banshee is beast but I enjoy to fly the scythe more for some reason like flying through these tunnel bridges on esamir and overall fun. Both scyrhe and mossie are pretty equal in their own way although mossie hitbox can be easier to hit. lol you got a plethora of good weapons, the VX6 for example has a better damage profile than the trac-5 and jaguar with near identical accuracy. The PulsarC is better than the Cougar. The SVA is a better NS-15m/T32 really accurate sustained fire at range, Flare/Ursa=TMG so best LMGs options topped by the Orion. Solstice VE3 > T5 AMC. Serpent = GD7F, Cerberus better Rebel and quite a good ttk actually. SMGs arguably better than the TRs. The best Scout rifles thanks to the no bullet drop. Lancer>striker,phoenix imo. Shotguns like everyone else, sniper rifles like everyone else. Lasher suppression bring more to the team than the other two weapons. So as you can see while VS doesn't have access to the 200dmg weapons or the 850ish rof ARs and the TR lynx they have access to the overall best selection betwen both factions.

    I thought with the PPA magazine reductions it was just fine the way it is now on live.
    OT, I don't know about vanguard canister, but harasser canister works wonders.

    Yeah I love it silenced, really good model too but the solstice pack more rof and is a tad more accurate. I still really like TR carbines though the 40 mag can be a saver

    What's wrong with tanks being able to fight infantry with both guns at long range?

    Why do we have to balance everything in this game around solo players that redeploy into vehicle contains around ****** no-name filler bases? Why is this dev team still screwing with stuff they don't understand, instead of fixing core gameplay issues that actually exist?

    When are we even getting our resource system?
