Vanu's Revenge is a tactically-orientated combined arms outfit with an emphasis on solid infantry teamwork. The outfit was originally created on Planetside 1's Werner server in 2003 and has existed on Miller since the launch of Planetside 2. The focal points of our week are two operations (often internally called "raids") on Wednesday and Sunday (7 p.m. BST/8 p.m. CEST; 2 - 3 hours) and our training session on Thursday. There is still plenty of opportunity for group play outside of operations and training though. More casual group play generally occurs every evening outside of our main events. We also have healthy off-peak activity; there's generally someone to play with starting from the late mornings, going in to the early hours of the next day. The outfit differs from many of the other Vanu Sovereignty outfits (on Miller) by requiring stricter discipline in operations. We aim to have: clear communications, great squad cohesion and optimal class composition. On the social side of things, outside of operations, we generally have a great social atmopshere in TeamSpeak. We are actively looking to nuture this atomsphere; having recruits that are compatible with it is important to us. The average age of our members is about 30, with many professionals and people with families. We're looking for people that are compatible with our average member. For much of Vanu's Revenge's lifetime the outfit was German-speaking. Recently, in order to gain access to a larger recruitment pool in Planetside 2, the outfit has been converted to being international, with the primary language being English. Applicatnts should aware of the necessity of tolerance for the occasional bit of German being spoken on TeamSpeak. What we offer you A warm atmosphere. Clear structure/chain of command. A well-organized TS3 server. Experienced and competent team mates. Several operation nights a week. Slightly less structured play generally occurs daily. Applicant requirements General We only recruit people aged 18 and over. Members are expected to be mature and thick-skinned. No exploiters/hackers. Game-play We want: Talented team players. During operations we always work as a group, we want members capable and willing to contribute to this. Experienced FPS gamers. English division members are expected to know basic competitive FPS concepts like peeking corners and using cover. Veteran Planetside 2 players. We need players with sufficient knowledge and experience to make decisions for themselves. Applicants should have at least one character at battle rank 50 or above. Tactically-minded individuals. People are expected to have the ability to make good decisions on-the-fly, without micromanagement from squad leaders. Active Planetside 2 players. Improving takes time and effort, we need people that are regularly playing the game for 10+ hours per week and regularly playing with Vanu's Revenge. Individuals looking to improve. We're looking for people that actively want to and are capable of improving upon their existing abilities, whether that be alone or in an outfit training session. Communication/language Members are expected to have TeamSpeak 3 installed and to own a working microphone. English division members are expected to be able to know enough of the language to communicate effectively with the rest of the squad. VR is a multilingual German/English outfit. We have mixed English/German TS channels so nobody is left out. English division members should be comfortable with German being spoken in their presence.
