It's great that the Striker got needed buffs so quickly, but why is the Spiker still unusable?

    It would still be a worthless piece of junk. The problem with the spiker isn't the magazine, so changing it would be pointless.

    From what I hear, the Magrider was OP for over a year. So it was lagging behind for a few months and now balanced. But that's not fair? How about it should have been UP for the same amount of time it was OP? That would have been fair.

    Now you're saying it depends? Your previous post was that it was worthless. Now it depends and "all situational". TR is "the best" but then you said "extremely situational AV". You could have been consistent in your argument at least. I see that you'd defend VS any which way as long as the VS is the victim.

    And "NC is the only useful one for everyday gameplay"? You ever been killed by a scat MAX at over 20m? I've been headshotted plenty by TR or VS AI MAXes while all I see of NC AI MAXes is that they have to close in to kill anything. If you wanna be as biased as this, I can play the victim too.

    No, the Maagrider was OP for a few months, from the games release inn autumn 2012 to the winter same year. Afterwards it took 3 weeks before the devs even realized how absolutely unusable they had made it, and another haalf a dozen patches with hbuffs to finally make it useful again.

    If it should be OP the same amount of time it have been UP, then the ZOE should have been fixed 3 months ago.

    You heard wrong. CU2 happened start of February 2013, game launched end of November 2012. It took practically the whole 2013 with incremental buffs to revert pretty much all changes apart from magburner boost to what it was before that patch. The very fact that 2/2 Magriders were more than the Prowler and Vanguard 2/2 crews combined should give some indication on how bad the tank was. These days the 2/2 Magriders are still more numerous, just not ridiculously so.

    TR has the best perfroming MAX AV weapons in the game right now. I don't think anyone can argue that, when Pounders performance is better than the Comet and Vortex performance combined.

    The extremely situational was meant for the empire specific ability, aka the Lockdown. Very situational, I'd only use it for limited AA or shelling down on vehicles from safety.

    The NC Aegis shield is the only one that has some use on everyday gameplay indeed. I made no mention on weapons.

    Please read my post again. It seems that you've missed most of the stuff and read what you wanted to see.

    This is because they are used as AI weapons. They are not killing as many vehicles as you might think.

    I'm aware of it. In pure AV killing, NC come on top.

    Still, performance = certs gained = getting most out of your investment. In contrast, Lancers and Vortexes can be situationally very powerful, but make for very bad cert investments.

    MCG, Lynx, Vulcan, Striker, Marauder, Cougar. (subject to beeing reworked or already have been)

    For starters. Also lets not forget pounders, the most broken MAX weapon currently ingame.

    Meanwhile NC and VS has seen nothing done with their arsenal.

    Don't forget the "ninjification" of all VS spandexians, giving them night time advantage.

    With T-Ray gone I'm hoping we can get the cmao unbalance eventually sorted.

    That change was done as CPR to the VS when we were down at below 20% population on most servers. I remember when i was amazed at seeing above 25% population for the VS.

    The camo imbalanced can be changed, when all the TR and NC abilities and weapons start lighting them up like christmas trees and blinding the user completely when used, like the VS does.

    I would agree with you up until the scope update. Right now the most obnoxious scopes are the NC ones. At least with the TR and VS ones I can see where my target is when I start firing.

    TR got a lot of revamps (note: not buffs) because they needed them. many things in the TR arsenal were rather boring or even broken right from release. tweaked NS weapons rather than true ES weapons, stuff that got nerfed a long time ago and so on.

    take e.g. the lynx, TR faction trade is high RoF, TR didn't have the fastest firing carbine though. imagine the TR had a 250 damage LMG and the NC only had a 200 damage LMG, would that feel right to you?

    or the MCG, which was rather fun than useful. lancer and jackhammer both got changed ages ago (many people seem to forget that), MCG needed a change as well, not because you must change all ES weapons if you touch one of them, but simply because it needed the change.

    what about the marauder? a tweaked fury, not very unique.

    for a long time TR weapons were really not designed to be unique, TR didn't get something like a camera guided RL or a long range laser RL, TR got a tweaked annihilator, something all 3 factions could use. this is why many players wanted the striker to be revamped, even before it was nerfed for the first time.

    now the striker was finally revamped and is in an aweful state right now, which is kinda ok since it is getting slowly adjusted. but threads saying VS stuff needs to be revamped because TR got X number of revamps are bad. i'm all for revamping stuff that needs revamps, TR/NC/VS, but not for the sake of giving every faction X revamps.

    spiker and PPA will get changes next, higby said so. but instead of changing 2 more weapons quickly, shouldn't the devs focus on balancing the striker first? or do you want to have 3 broken weapons instead of 1 at a time?

    see it this way:
    every revamp the TR got was needed, some of them right from launch, the fact that TR got so many is down to the fact that so many TR things needed to be revamped.

    ask MCG users how many TKs and weapon locks they get :eek: the lasher is designed for suppression and area denial, at which it's quite effective btw.

    lockdown sucks, i have it on my prowler only for killing sunderers faster, of course i die to a light assualt nearly every time i use it because no one ever gets into my tank

    ZOE was horrendous, accept it, and move on, it needs a buff because its useless....id almost say its slightly more useless that anchor mode

    the MCG got an attachment......but that attachment isnt terribly useful...oh hey i can shoot at 1000 RPM....too bad i only have a few seconds of firing time now....extended Mags and knowing when to start firing is the best option for using the MCG

    why on earth are you comparing the striker and the swagrider? the comparison doesnt really work. 1 2/2 swagrider =/= 2 Striker heavies. the reason that the magrider is powerful is because of how much more powerful having 2/2 is, yes the magrider needs a buff, it will probably get omni-directional magburner and maybe even some more armor, but i wouldnt expect too much more than that. i die to magriders shooting me from long range in my prowler quite often....the main reason being that they can still dodge shells, even if you dont think it works very well, they can still do it. i dont have a problem with this tho, if its a PPA magrider ill go out of my way to annihilate it anyways

    the Lasher works good for supression, yes you will probably Tk people with it, but i have Tked alot of players ACCIDENTALLY with my MCG while im firing at full RPM because they decided that walking in front of me is a good idea.



    i played VS after during launch and until a little bit into the ZOE catastrophe, i still play VS occasionally, i have been BR 75ish for a long time because i dont play as much as i used to, but i was there when we had 20% most days on connnory. the TR had alot of people, so did the NC, but after ZOE came out, the other factions decreased drastically and the VS hordes came charging along all bright pink and glowing. it got so bad that people actually had to switch from being a MAX unit to normal infantry to actually cap a biolab

    yeah certain VS things need to be buffed, namely the spiker (remove that silly delay) and the Swagrider needs SOMETHING done to it and ZOE needs to be fixed, but in whole the VS is still fairly balanced. ht orion is still the CQC LMG God and the flare still beats the TMG 50...but you loose epicly to the Sabr 13 :)

    they nerfed hover height because too many rounds were going under it and also because they didnt want it sliding over tanks as easily as it was i believe.

    the orion is fine, id give up bullet drop for sometime more useful tho....considering the NC should have had no bullet drop to begin with, the VS should have been the heavy hitting faction when you consider the "science" behind it all.

    the Vulcan is getting completely redone in a few months anyways they are making it an antiinfantry weapon kinda like a weak version of the banshee and then giving us a fracture turret. the PPA is going to get a CoF finally so it cant be spammed from 250+ meters away with no skill needed at all

    and i really wouldnt call an ammo reduction a nerf.....Oh dear you might actually have to reload before you kill 20 more people! XD

    i have been killed by an NC MAX unit with shotguns+ slugs at +20 meters away.........people just dont want to adapt.....but Tbh you are better off with falcons at that range.....and gL using Mutilators at 25+ unless the target has virtually no health

    there is no "old" spiker, it has always been either a carbon copy of the desperado (VS didnt want a copy of the NC they wanted a copy of the TR so they said no)

    then it became what it is now pretty much ( they had a 4 round burst version up for a day or 2 but it kinda sucked)

    what it needs is to not have a delay for firing, 2 seperate firing modes is what it needs and then a better way of letting the use know that it is fully charged because it charges up really fast

    It was neither a NC or TR copy. It was a unique pistol that SAID,"OY! I'm Vanu!"
    It was epic, and burst pistol die-hards demanded that we get a crappy burst.
