It's clear people are fed up with 0.75ADS, why aren't you removing it from the game DBG?

    LA1 Anchor is not again available to all players for Free. It doesn't have stats auto-impacted by people just picking up the HA.

    lol @ bringing up server smah for anything, those are coordinated Outfits, where Teamwork is the key,
    and the coordination plays a bigger part than anything else

    there is just not enough people with average skill and conditions in server smash that you can pull any serious data out of it...

    also there are still BAD players with the anchor, i am sure of it, just as there are bad players with the orion, sure there are probably a bit more bad players with the orion, but on lvl 75 that should amount to about the same number, really, because up to lvl 75 most players will have at least bought or unlocked one weapon for the heavy besides the standart lmg, and what will that be in the case of an NC heavy? very probably the anchor...

    and just out of curiousity, is the T9 Carv op because it is performing equal or better despite being a starter LMG? i wonder...

    SS is about abusing the best (available: Betelgeuse is not available in SS) Tools in the most broken Tactics and Strategies for coordinated objective play.

    ... and Orion dominates as the top VS Weapon over and over.

    "bit more", huh? Bit more. There are a "bit more" people in China than in my car. A bit more.

    I have 2 NC Characters. Neither has the LA1. Neither are 75 BR yet, but that is because I have less time on them. If I flew the Reaver more, they would be BR75+... and not have the LA1.

    TR HA can't use the Betelgeus (or even the Cyclone).

    You are just another player that is arguing for what the changes they want (or want to avoid) for personal reasons, not for a clearer picture of what the stats say or for a game that is more balanced. You are a prime reason PS2 is the dysfunctional and stunted game it is still today.

    really weird, i guess the only OP LMG seems to be the Anchor... and Betelgeuse

    that is a BIT weird, isn't it?

    the only weapon you could state that is overperforming is the Betelgeuse, every stat ever recorded doesn't show any superiority in Kills per User or Hour of any 0.75 ADS weapon in the slightest, of course only if you disregard your giant numbers of people that are over BR75 and don't know how to work the Orion :rolleyes:

    no, i am pissed off that everyone wants to nerf everything without any balancing issued, i don't give a flying f*ck about the 0.75 ads, but if you guys ALL want to make this game even more gray-in-gray, then the Orion has to be buffed in another area to at least be as good as the MSW-R, if you straight up remove the 0.75 ADS, the Orion is straight up worse in stats than the MSW-R

    how about ACTUALLY making the weapon shine in it's factions strong point? accuracy? make it have way less horizontal recoil than the MSW-R and leave the CoF as it is, remove the 0.75 ADS modifier and thats it

    the MSWR has still the strong point of having SPA and ALS, the orion is more accurate and the Anchor still rules above them all

    happy f*cking ending for everyone

    except it won't make a difference, and people will still be crying "OP" at the anchor next, have fun

    Well you are comparing what is supposed to be a lower dps, slightly longer range gun, SVA-88, with the two closer range higher dps LMGs of the other factions, I would expect it to perform below them instead it's pretty much on par, slightly below the anchor, and above the MSW-R.

    When you compare it to the other TR and NC LMG arsenal it pulls ahead, nothing ridiculous like the Betel but it's there.

    To be fair it's obvious the biggest issue is the Betel the overall package is to good, but .75 does seem to offer a distinct advantage in most cases, but perhaps not as big as I originally thought. MSW-R performance really confuses me the most.

    Anyone who's complaining about high strafing LMGs must zip his mouth now,these are archived and we will all play with the LMGs as they are,deal with it!

    I agree that if the 0.75 is nerfed that the Orion should get other buffs. (unless other LMGs are comparably nerfed/balanced at the same time)

    I am not saying that other LMGs should not be touched. I was just trying to point out that Orion stats are a bit clunky to use/read because of other factors.

    The number one thing (from my perspective as a designer) is to figure out what the game is supposed to be (both ongoing, and in terms of experiences that expansion/added content will bring). And then to adjust the game to make it that experience. I think the game is supposed to be:
    1) combined arms
    2) big battles
    3) use the whole map (each zone and the land between bases)

    I think the Standard Game does "ok" on those 3 things. I think Server Smash/Hardcore Organized does "very bad" on those 3 things. I think the Standard and SS game can be tuned so that it's "good" on those 3 things.

    On the issue of combined arms, and subgroup of classes, I think HA is a current issue. I don't know if it's MedKit, ADAD/0-inertia/0.75, Shield, Class gun options, or what. I am sure the community can provide lots of insight into the relative impact of each of these. Or it may just be that other classes need niche buffs to be more productive/useful/used in the Standard or SS game.

    I actually think the balancing should start by "fixing" Server Smash. There are 2 choices for that:
    1) get rid of "Pinpoint Infantry Rapid Deploy"
    2) adjust the rest of the units to have "Pinpoint Rapid Deploy" so they are used again

    I think #1 on that is better for the total game overall, but I think many of the Hardcore Players (who lobby SOE/DBG very effectivel) will resist that change because they like the advantages they have and don't want to give them up: they prefer personal advantage over better overall game.

    If we can adjust SS play to be more in line with the 3 goals stated, THEN we can move on to adjust the different units to fit the model gameplay. Including if/how to then adjust HA to fit that model.

    Again, SVA-88 stat quality suffers in non-SS because the users can use Betelgeuse. Though SVA-88 doesn't have the problem of being Free like Orion, so I would expect it's less packed with under-certed and "bads".

    The changes are on the PTS.

    They could be put in any upcoming update.

    Also "LMG's as they are" have alot of issues that those changes would have fixed.

    the orion does not have a better accuracy than the carv or msw-r and the betelgeuse is more shaky because you cant attach a grip. you have to burst it a lot to push it out of its intended range.

    Ok, that point is yours, no lmg should have 0,75ads

    the no bulletdrop trade is worthless on nearly all weapons. the only exceptions are the battlerifles, the semiauto snipers and the saron. and dont forget about vanus special trade: the highest first shot multiplier of all faction. if you have to compensate your bulletdrop over range you will aim over the head and in the worst case you will hit his body but as vanu you will aim for the chest and in the worst case you will shot over his head AND at ranges were the no bulletdrop would matter the vanu weapons deal the least amount of damage because the fastest damage loss is also a vanu trade. So: DONT COME UP WITH THE ****** NO BULLETDROP THING BECAUSE IT ISNT A THING!!!!!
    I perform better with the mercenary or trac 5 over ranges than with the solstice simply because they dont loose as much damage and have a lot more damage per mag.
