    Dear Devs,

With the announcement of the intended vehicle velocity changes, the forumsiders are once again up in arms in defense of their beloved vehicles. This is not a thread about that.

This is a thread about your (the devs) continued patience, perseverance, and dedication to us (the players) and this game. Let's face it, we're kind of *** holes. We realize it is probably not easy to go to work every day when faced with the sea of negativity and selfishness that is Forumside, making endless requests, demands, and even threats, all the while berating you for every step you take, regardless of which direction it's in. We're sure it's very emotionally exhausting, to say the least.

But in spite of all that, some of us want you to know that we appreciate you, and all the work that you do on this wonderful project. We believe in you, and we wish there was a way we could show appreciation for you other than giving you our money, because that's just not personal enough. For now, this tip of the hat will have to be enough. Keep up the good work, and don't be afraid to realize your vision for the world you've created - we're with you for the long haul, even though we might be grumpy about it sometimes.

    Much Love,
    The Community

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

If you agree or have something to add, please reply with your appreciation, and show the devs that we love them. If you disagree or have a criticism of the devs... please keep it to yourself. This is not the thread for that, there are a plethora of other threads where you can do that, and I'm sure you have already.

I am sure they know that the forums are just angry folk who want to complain and a few normal people.

The majority of people are fine with just playing the game and when they aren't they go about their normal day. Only when they are angry do they come and post.

Also it is kind of pointless to make a thread fellating the staff. They know people are enjoying the game based on the fact that it has quite a few players. I'm not too sure about their profits but I am sure the game is doing just fine despite all the whining from players about nerfs and buffs.

I estimate only 1 of every 10 people who say "I quit" actually quit. Mostly they just get angry and then come back the next day like nothing happened.

    Way to be Positive!

...too bad Radar and Muldoon are the only ones likely to ever see this

Everything could be justified, however it need proper explanation.
Devs didn't gave you one, if the stuff at post 1 were true then some kind of explanation and middle ground could be found.
However making games I'd not about making happy the declining number of PS 2 PC players it is about profits.
    I explained it here:

Despite having issues this is still one of my favorite games of all time. I've met some really people and been in some truly epic fights/situations so yeah, thanks devs :).

As my first FPS, this game is definitely a challenge... But what I love about is that even when I have those days when I can only play for 30 minutes because I die every 5 seconds, but that's my problem. And I have a feeling that the game designed in a way that makes me aware of that. I can't really explain it well, but this game has a charm that just makes me come back every time, so that I can improve and get better. There are times when I can't believe the problems this game has, but I still love it. I still want to play it, no matter what.

I know that you guys work very hard, and I appreciate it (even if it doesn't sound like it :p). Keep doing the great work guys.

If someone writes something in the game forum about something good or bad - it's a good thing, if player took time to find forums, register, write a massage - he cares. If he cares - he likes the game. And look at this forum, it is active as broken ants nest. Everybody wants something - and thats good, that is a sigh of addiction to the game.

I work in sales. I'm fully aware that I'm making excellent money and that I'm doing a great job finding the right product/service for my clients. However, that doesn't mean I'm unaffected by the occasional ****** that walks in and makes unrealistic demands or presumes to know more about my work than I do, then throws a tantrum when his expectations aren't met. And trust me, the frequency of "bad eggs" is much, much, much higher in online communities than in real life - for whatever reason people assume that anonymity excuses them from social obligation, common decency, and in some cases even basic humanity. It is those people who really ruin my day, and conversely it is the grateful people who I get to help that make my job worthwhile.

So if you think that expressing appreciation for people who do work to benefit us is "pointless", next time please don't even bother saying so. You don't make a very good case for it, and I won't bother attempting to change your mind either - I'm sure you have your reasons, whatever they may be.

The majority of my work experience has either been on a line and any kind of "good job" is an obvious attempt by management to boost morale. Or working in carpet cleaning at a company that over dilutes all of their products. So any "good job" I got from customers were all meaningless and just made me feel bad that I knew I was ripping them off.

So I always see customer appreciation as nothing more than pointless. However I know some people do find it meaningful.

    I'm just a cynical bastard.

    Then that's completely on you.
