Issues TR (Mattherson)/TR in general face

    Yes.

I would gladly take the hipfire accuracy and clip size of the Jag over just about any carbine NC has. VS at least has the VX6-7 which matches the Jag in hipfire accuracy... kinda a tossup between slightly (6%) faster TTK versus 10 (33%) more rounds per magazine.

I would also gladly take the TAR over the H-V45 and GR-22. They are all basically the same weapon. TAR has slightly more recoil and slightly longer reload for 10 (33%) more rounds per magazine.

As I have said in other posts in this thread, there is no single faction which is greatly disadvantaged compared to the other two. Each faction has some gold and some turds. But overall it is pretty even across all 3 factions. Even across the weapons I have mentioned they are still pretty balanced in that the TR versions have a longer reload to go with their larger magazines.

Just want to point out that your stats are from a BR38 and BR86... so you spent more time on your BR86 (VS). Thus you probably started out with your VS character and so your accuracy is actually skewed more towards the lower end on that character. And coming to the TR character later in the game would skew the accuracy towards the upper end. This would be because over time one would gain better accuracy and combat awareness.

The problem is no matter how you try to prove this, it just cannot be proven. Even if you took 2 characters, split leveling time between them, and put equal equipment on you would still show a different result each day spent outside VR. Reason being is that the fighting conditions will always change. You might be grouped up with 3 people or 96, the enemy may be a BR1 or BR100, it could be nighttime and harder to see enemies, you could be firing into the sun, etc. etc.

So honestly this argument is just getting old because unless you 2 are going to go meet at sundown on the 5th of august in crossroads watchtower to duel, there is never going to be a clear answer.

Your anecdotal evidence does not describe Mattherson as a whole.

Mattherson VS is not a recommended server/faction combo. This means that any player who rolled BR1 had to manually select Mattherson, and is more likely to have already had some experience playing the game.

Mattherson NC & TR are a recommended server/faction combo. This means that any completely new player who selects NC/TR will be funneled to Mattherson by default.

Just logged in...it's off hours on a weekday, the time VS population USED to be highly skewed, 40-50% VS pop. Let's look at it now, with the recommended server changes:

And you're STILL whining? Get a grip goddamn, Mattherson VS never ever whined to this level when they were the underpop faction on Mattherson.

I swear to god Mattherson TR attracts the biggest ******* crybabies in the entire game.

The Gauss has a fast reload time? Apparently you haven't used it. The Gauss sucks. The default Gauss does 200 damage true, but it bucks like a wild stallion. The EM1 does 146 and the EM6 does 167. Both don't recoil as much as the default Gauss but the difference isn't much.

I certed my default Gauss with an advanced front grip and compensator to help control the recoil. Then PS2 decided to take that little bit of help away by nerfing them. More wasted certs.

Check the weapon stats, TR and VS stuff have near identical handling. Wont matter if my avatar is purple or red. As far as Kodak is concerned, the minimal difference in faction weapons isn't going to impact his 10-15% accuracy in any meaningful way; that is the result of fps/lag/skill/hardware.

No idea what your problem is, it is pretty easy for me to control my wild Gauss SAW, even though sometimes it kicks like a horse it always comes through for me, no matter the situation. BR 67 NC been using the Gauss SAW since Nov. 20th, I have Auraxium on it as well as Auraxium on the EM6, I love them both but the Gauss SAW is just slightly better for me and my playstyle.

Anyway, to put to the OP bluntly the NC has only 1 thing that is OP, which is the Vortek Rotary on the Reaver. The VS's ZOE, contrary to popular belief, is not OP anymore but rather the Aegis Shield and Lockdown are UP in comparison. Now the TR, you guys got 3 things which annoy the crap out of other factions, those being the Vulcan, the Striker, and Fractures. The Vulcan, I can live with it's ability for Anti-Armor but it shouldn't be able to swat aircraft away like that. Now we go onto the Striker, the one thing that everybody hates, even the TR! It is pretty much the best rocket launcher in the game, hands down. The only thing that is a drawback on it is the fact it cannot dumbfire, but I don't think many people care about that since they can single single-handedly take down every single vehicle within a 500 meter radius, all while not being rendered to the opponent, and all they have to do is keep LOS. If you get 2 or more TR with Strikers in an area it is almost a complete death zone for the opponent. And then Fractures, well they are just too versatile. If TR are pulling them to kill infantry in a Bio Lab I think there is a problem. Everything else the TR has access to is pretty well balanced as with the VS and NC.

I don't know if you quoted the wrong person, but at no point did I reference any LMG's.

Either way, Gauss SAW doesn't suck as much as you claim. It has high recoil and long reload for a reason.

Gauss SAW is the highest damage per bullet LMG in the game (200). It does the same amount of damage at 85m as the next most powerful LMG does at 10m.
Gauss SAW is the only LMG in the game with a Still ADS COF of 0. The only other non-sniper weapons with this trait are the AC-X11 and Reaper DMR (both NC).
Gauss SAW has the highest damage per magazine of any LMG in the game (200x100).

It might not fit your playstyle, but that doesn't make it an terrible/imbalanced weapon.

My only issue with VS weapons is the accuracy. Most are far easier to use and hit your mark with than most TR weapons.

I can't tell you how many times I've couched and tap fired my TMG 50 and other LMGs and watched as almost every round landed all around the intended target. TR weapons are way too random. I don't thnk ROF makes up for it very well.

There is a gig somewhere that shows the best way to shoot a TR lmg and basically it says shoot beside your target to hit instead of aiming at it. As comical as it is, it's not that far fetched.
  10. Vertabrae

I stopped playing my TR HA class a long time ago because I am not the best at aimming, and while I have no issues with NC or VS lmgs, I can't seem to reliably hit with TR lmgs. I switched to Engi and roll with an AMC or Jag now.

Any chance you might have the link to the vid? Would love to see it, maybe then I could actually hit something.

Oh, and for everyone else, I am not whining about TR lmgs. They simply have a recoil pattern I can't get used to. I blame my own lack of skill and failure to adapt. So no TR crying here.
  11. woooow

I think you are either making things up or talking about stuff they might have done on off hours. I never saw them go "biofarming for an hour", not once. I saw them push deep into enemy territory plenty of times and end up usually at a tech plant and hold it in a massive fight that certainly was not farming...I would not have bothered watching if they were hunkered down in a biofarm.

I DID see them abandon what they were doing a lot to go save some base to help their alliance or whatever...both in video and as a player. Plenty of times I'd be in a platoon trying to hold something and getting crushed by a zerg to read in chat "reinforcements are coming, hold for two minutes". And then after two minutes the gals came.

It's not far fetched at all, you're exactly right, that is how to use a TR LMG. The tmg 50 as you mentioned will always fire the first few shots in the same place and you actually do have to not aim directly at the target if you want both of those shots to land and you often have to sacrifice one of the shots to land the other if the person is moving at range anyways. It's a great weapon, tr's best alpha strike LMG imo but if somebody tries to use it like a standard vs/nc LMG, it will feel completely useless.

Sorry it wasn't a video. I'm on an iPhone and messed up.

Enclave broke Mattherson. They broke it by being on Matterson en masse and they broke it by leaving en masse. That may be why TR is the lowest pop on Mattherson. My guess is some of them are still playing alts on NC or VS further unbalancing the pops. This isn't really their fault, but more of just an effect of them being a huge outfit.

That said, TR weapons are lame which doensn't help the cause.

The only thing that can save TR on Matterson is a buff somewhere that would make folks log onto TR. Currently every time I log onto TR, we are fighting VS and NC simultaneously on two fronts, usually on Indar. The only reason why TR is always the target is because they are easy to kill and their weapons don't hurt.

When PS1 first came out the prowler and the pounder max were so overpowered that everyone went TR. That was kind of the lore anyway, big oppressive faction fighting off two rebel factions. Rebel by definition is generally scrappy, undermanned and underpowered. Over time the NC got the vanguard and Scat Max and the VS got the ridiculous Lasher and Lancer.

My guess is SOE just picked up where they left off and forgot to make the TR the strongest at launch.

    But this is wrong.

    Carbines: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...INE&sortcolid=24&sortasc=true&rowsperpage=250

    LMGs: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...LMG&sortcolid=24&sortasc=true&rowsperpage=250

The cone of fire and bloom per shot for the vast majority (ie all but one outlier in the VS carbine catagory) are practically identical; only minor variations. The only area where there is a trade off is the VS's slightly less vertical recoil, in trade for no .75 move speed multiplier and TR's slightly lower first shot recoil.
If anything is it a placebo effect, statistically they are nearly equal.

Mentioned above: the TMG-50 is almost exactly the same as the VS Flare. However the Flare suffers worse recoil for slightly (.05 here) better ADS-while moving. The TMG even has a greater recoil recovery as well as a much lower first-shot multiplier.

TR has been under pop since April, well before the Enclave left.

Anyways TR's problem is as simple as not giving a **** about alerts, this has always been true and will probably remain so in the future.

go look up weapon stats, TR and VS stuff are extremely similar. there is no such thign as 'shoot beside the target' either.

    its a joke.

1LT Nguyen.W from 7th Cavalry (NC outfit) will be attending, along with few others. Not sure if Negator missed my PM or not as well as my post weeks ago that we'll be attending, so will be standing by for info

Ya Mattherson TR aren't even close to being bad, I mean for example during prime time on Indar last night between 7-10 P.M we pushed the VS all the way back to Mao Techplant and BWC attacked and held them there for a long while considering the vast number of VS that were there.
