Is this guy with a 10-1 K/D ratio (playing HA) best player in PS2?

Here is the thing though, with his "total" lifetime kills, 5% come from vehicles, 11% come from maxes, and all the rest are heavy assault. So its not like he never ever ever ever touches them, its just that a vast majority of his kills are on heavy.

I have 8% kills in vehicles, 14% from MAXes and the rest are spread out across heavy, medic, LA and Engineer and still manage a 6.5 K/D.

At what level is performance like that acceptable / believable? I've heard people say anything above a 3 K/D for infantry and they have to be cheating. I really think its a matter of who you play with. If you are in an outfit what has an average of something like 0.8 K/D (which I think is the average K/D for players in general) then someone who is at 1.5 - 2.0 is going to seem pretty good and someone who is sitting at 3.0 might be "that guy" in the outfit who really stands out.

But if you are regularly running with an outfit with that has a 3 K/D your perspective is likely to shift in a similar manner, with the 5-6 K/D players seeming pretty good, and those 8-10 K/D players being really stand out.

CS gamer + high end rig + HA = score.

Until about March it was very easy and very common to have over 100% accuracy with a shotgun, this is because each pellet counted as a separate bullet, so if you fired 1 shot that had 10 pellets and each pellet hit you would have 1000% accuracy.

I think it's possible to maintain a 10-1 K/D, but only when you're playing really defensively + backup + scoutradar + never take a risk. There's so much going on in Planetside 2 and so many ways to die: grenades, rockets, tank shells, bullets, galaxy drops, debris, your own teammates, bugs, stupid physics and so on. I've seen uncanny stuff in CS, but i don't think it's possible to play rambo and getting a good K/D.

Check my stats breh. As for my score it was because of a bug.

This guy plays Rambo. He is not careful or slow.

He does not spawn camp nor does he do vehicles. He runs around bases as a heavy Rambo style single handedly owning everyone.

You come up on him from behind and he is like 180 boom your dead, every time.

I have fought him and seen him first hand.

He has done this for a year.

    Sure he's legit.

    Are you talking about NivX?
  8. Rogueghost

Yes, this entire thread is dedicated to him.

Was that an Abraham Lincoln or JFK quote I forgot?
  11. Crazytrain

Neither. It's from Shakespeare. When Hamlet succumbs to the poison, Horatio is like "Get gud or get rekt, sweet prince."

I thought so, but it wasn't his only feature :) He managed to get 3 or 4 headshots in a row, flying fast in jetpack, hipfiring and so on. Other players told me he could inject himself 4 restokit in a row and start to headshot everyone in a room, etc.

There's a problem with such reasoning: skill levels are not linear. Real life (because we are talking of real people) are not D&D characters who gain +5% more every X level to do something.
In real life there's an average skill, then you can increase your skill depending on the training till a maximum given by your attitude, possibilities, limits, etc.
But increasing own skill can be easy at the beginning but it becomes progressively harder with the level.

What I want to say is very very skilled people are quite rare. Moreover this is a MMOFPS so multiple people means multiple uncontrollable factors. You have the technical limits given by the game, you have lag, latency issues, bad hit registration, etc.
All this factors sum up to the fact you cannot enter in a battlefield face to the enemy and maintain such KDR.
Because even if you are really skilled (but only a few people manage to be so skilled) you cannot control everything around you.

Players like this are rare, you can actually find out how rare they are here : http://stats.dasanfall.com/ps2/players/
as your stats, from accuracy to head shot rate, to K/D with a certain weapon, to kills per hour are all tracked and rated against every other player in the database. You can find out if you are average, above or below. Or if you fall into categories like "top 5% of all players" up to "top 0.025% of all players"

As for the last part, maybe you couldn't maintain such a KDR, but how does that end up meaning "No player ever could"? I can link you to at least half a dozen profiles where players maintain a 10+ K/D with certain weapons (LMG's, Carbines, AR's etc) over thousands of kills. So it definitely is possible, rare, yes, for sure. But still possible.

To be fair, K/D alone isn't the problem, it's actually the combination of both very high K/D and KPM, and then you have to add all those shady videos of him.

That said, I'll grant that he's pretty good at finding fights :p
  17. Liberty

I get that, what a few of the posters I've been quoting seem to be saying though is its impossible to maintain a 10 K/D as an aggressive infantry player.

And honestly if you look at Vonic's stats with his waterson alt, he has something like 3.5 and 4 KPM on his main weapons with an 8 K/D (and 40 ish % accuracy)
  18. Badname3109

Its the fact he has a bunch of shady videos of him playing warping around fast with the stats he has makes him shady BUMP FNO SPOTLIGHT OR FULL OF ****.OR FPS GOD

getting 4-5 kills/min with weapons is easy just hold your med kits all the time unless your near someone to kill. i'm over 4 with my blitz and armistice

Did NivX get banned....? Also a 10 to 1 KD seems unlikely. Even the really good ones eventually screw up. Seems like hes running a program that informs him of sneak attacks. I mean he might be really good but its more likely hes cheating. To be sure go scorched earth and if he owns you all and your friends chances are its a cheater that's not been caught.
