Is the grinder shot placement bugged?

I haven't tried the other NC max shotgun arms, but with the default scatter cannon and the grinder I could swear the grinder is shooting very far off to the side of the crosshair. I've had close range situations where I've missed basically every shot with my crosshair right on target. It's like the grinder is set to converge on the center of the crosshair far beyond the grinder's viable range.

Has anyone else noticed this or tested it with the other max arms?

The problem is, that Grinder and Hacksaw are for very CQC. You cant use them effectively in long and even mid range.

No, I'm saying the grinder is shooting around targets. Close range is where the problem is noticeable.

you die very quickly with a shotgun equipped in games with bad hit reg and rubberbanding, 2 problems this game doesnt have any shortage of

Na the problem is simply that the shot emanates from your actual arms, not from the center, so at close range, your right arm shoots from the right and your left from the left and they "meet" a few meters in front of you, but at point blank if the guy is slightly on your left your right arm won't hit him and vice versa.

All maxes fire inaccurately at very close ranges. The bullets come out of the ends of the arms rather than the center of the screen, so when something comes in rather close they won't actually get to the center before they hit it.

It's more obvious on the scattermax because you have to be inside that range to consistently kill anyone without slug ammo.

I'm aware of that. I was saying the grinder was adjusted to converge on the crosshair at a longer distance than the default scatter max.

Now I'm starting to think the grinder is just wildly inaccurate at times.

That I don't actually know. Are you having it *always* go off to the side or is it sort of random? It seems that maxes actually do have a cone of fire like the other weapons and spraying causes shots to deviate wildly off center.

I really wish they'd just show this stuff instead of hiding it and making people figure it out.

Yes, spraying causes COF bloom. I think the grinder is even more inaccurate to balance the extra 2 shots.

I'm loving the double scat guns but idk if I should get slug ammo or extended magazines...for when I'm playing sloppy.
