Is infantry combat evolving to hipfire preference?

I did not know this, wow.. it even lowers CoF accuracy during ADS? I may never use a foregrip again...

It doesn't lower the CoF while ADS, just hipfire. But my point still stands that the foregrip's benefit can be negated by proper recoil management (assuming you are using a gun without equal left and right horizontal recoil)

No, it only reduces COF radius for hipfiring.

Foregrips help out for ADS, which you will be using most of the time. I'd rather take an attachment that helps me for 90% of my shooting versus one that, while arguably is an upgrade, is only useful in a tenth of my time using that gun.

Any weapon that requires a fore-grip to operate with a shred of accuracy beyond 60m isn't worth the bandwidth to equip, let alone fire. There are plenty of weapons that work splendidly without a fore-grip, and still most of them aren't likely to KILL anything beyond 60m because it's just too damn far out that CoF is a greater demon than recoil in terms of accuracy. If you're single shotting to make every shot count because everything after it will likely miss due to CoF blook, you're using the wrong damn gun.

Laser all the way. Most automatic killing is done within 40m, typically within stock-with-laser hipfire range, or 20-25m. Bullet volume becomes the killing factor over longer distances, but by bullet volume I mean multiple guys shooting at one target, not a TR with a TRV. Damage fall off with the way recoil and CoF bloom handle is just about the stupidest thing SOE could and in fact have done to gunplay, as it only compounds the problems of ranged combat, and pushes everything towards CQC for any semblance of actual killing power.

Crouch tapping exists. You can use that to compensate.
